I am very upset with them at this time. We have gone to this dental office since they started but…read morethey did not have the consideration to give us any notification whatsoever that they increased their private insurance, that you are pretty much forced to take because they aren't accepting hardly any other insurances, by $150.00! We received 4 texts reminding us of the appt., but not one mention of the increase. Went through the total cleaning appt with the hygienist and the dentist...not one mention of the cost increase. Checking out AFTER the appt. and the receptionist has ALREADY RAN OUR CREDIT CARD...not one mention of the price increase until we look at the receipt and say "what the hell?". THEN the receptionist fumbles with saying "we haven't made any price increases in 5 years". The point is....not once were we notified of this price increase and given the option to opt out or have a different option. Like I said at the beginning....I am very upset and disappointed with this company at this point and would not recommend them to anyone who is having to watch your budget.

After having a great experience with the hygienist who glowed that he was one of her best patients, the dentist insisted she could take care of the cavities WITHOUT anesthetic. She remarked on how cooperative he was. We trusted that she knew what she was doing. When she was drilling son's teeth he tried to close his mouth and in the process he bit her-- and she YELLED at him for "biting her." Reminder, he is THREE YEARS OLD. She apparently didn't have a bite guard like every dentist in the world. When I picked him up out of the chair to get the hell out of there she said the holes NEEDED to be closed. I made a terrible call as a mother to allow this woman to continue working on my child. When he began to cry in ernest, she called him a "SISSY" and threatened my toddler with "If you don't stop crying I will make your mommy leave you alone here." I told him (and her) that I would NOT be leaving him alone with her and to finish to the point where we could safely leave. I tried to comfort my little boy who didn't understand why this woman was hurting him, yelling at him and now threatening him with the most frightening a toddler can imagine-- being abandoned by his mother with a mean stranger. The final straw what at point when she COVERED HIS NOSE AND MOUTH to keep him from crying. I am in shock. I am horrified that I didn't whisk him out of her office when I had him in my arms the first time she yelled. I could have gone straight to one of the many other dentists in this town to have them finish the job. I suck-- but not as much as this awful woman.

I also paid for a savings plan, but they threw so many numbers at me I'm not sure there were any discounts given. I had one tooth filled in May 2024 (terrible job--front tooth filling that doesn't match at all and has a ridge) and my next fillings were scheduled for 12-31-2024. Seriously...nearly 8 months to get a tooth filled??? I showed up for my 12-31 appointment and it was bad from the second I walked in the door. Before I could even take off my jacket, they made me pay $690+ for the services I was supposed to receive. Fine...whatever. But then they tried to take my blood pressure and it was a disaster! The BP cuff was so tight that it brought tears to my eyes, made me cry out in pain, and left bruises on my arm. After three tries, they said they couldn't give me anesthetic without a note from my doctor. I left having received NO services...and these con artists still put thru the $690+ charge on my credit card. It took me two months to get them to issue a refund. I found a new dentist and scheduled an exam/xrays, but decided to keep my cleaning appointment at Aspen in April. I checked in at the desk and was refused even a cleaning without a note from my doctor. I filled out the forms to have my records transferred to my new dentist, and assumed I was done with Aspen for good. No such luck...last night I noticed that they've put thru another $49 charge for their "savings plan", even though I'm no longer a patient there. I called today, and first was told they didn't charge me anything, then told me I have to call a different number...where I was told "sorry, no refunds". I've had to go thru my credit card bank to initiate a chargeback. The good news is, I absolutely love my new dental office - Southview Dental in Moorhead. Absolutely a relief to find them after surviving Aspen Dental. They even have a therapy dog!

I went in for an appointment today and a deep cleaning wasn't covered by insurance…read more First off, the receptionists were whispering about this and said the hygienist would discuss (yes I heard that) So as I'm sitting down for the appointment, the hygienist walks in and asks if the receptionist discussed the deep cleaning with me. No they did not. She then shoves a piece of paper in my face some waiver, saying that without this cleaning, there is no therapeutic benefit to doing the cleaning, and if I don't sign it, they won't do the cleaning. I'm not disputing that it may be necessary, but what a terrible way to handle a situation. That all could've been discussed ahead of time in a much different way. There was a complete lack of compassion, empathy, and care and how it was handled and I'm not going back there ever again. I'm also pulling my kids from their practice also.

For my first visit the check- in process was very easy, the receptionists were friendly and the support staff were really nice, understanding, knowledgeable and efficient. The waiting room is really lovely. I can't say the same for Dr.harr who treated me with such disdain, but I chalked it up to her being busy...she's got a dentistry to run and has lots of patients to attend. Since the rest of the staff was nice I made an appt to fix a cracked tooth. She did an OK job but left it all jagged and longer than the other teeth, and just felt "messy" ok...another way to make me feel like an umimportant client i guess! I had to go back a 3rd time because of tooth pain after a week. She didn't even want to look at me or talk to me and just told her assistant to refer me to someone else and she like waved me as if she didn't want to deal with me. Update: I will give you a call. I've gone to a different dentist who told me that the tooth she filled is infected. This is unacceptable. Dentists shouldn't be allowed to maim their clients. I'm also going to reach out to the board. I'm furious and still in pain, after 6 months. For her to also charge me an additional 300 to 400 for "emergency service" seems like a scam as well when in reality, all she did was refer me for an extraction due to her shoddy filling, which is still jagged by the way!
