I am so happy that I choose the Smileland Pediatric Dentistry for my 16 months old daughter. We had a great experience with them. We saw Dr. Reza Beheshti today. Dr. Reza is very knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. He answered all my questions, and he was very careful with my daughter when he did the examination of her mouth. Also, the hygienist gave many tips for brushing my daughter teeth. She did a great job!!! The office staffs were very friendly and nice. The office facility is clean and new. We have been coming to this office for awhile and while everyone has been pleasant and wonderful for the most part we had a dental assistant named Staphany that was the BEST assistant we have ever had. My daughter Scarlett had to get a cavity worked on and she was terrified, had a full panic attack in the room while getting it done and without Staphany going above and helping her calm down, holding her hand and just taking the extra time to not snap at her we wouldn't have gotten through. She is MAGICAL, if you have a sensitive child or need a little extra care ask for her she is amazing and I can't thank her enough. read more

Anyone ever get told that they were going to Disney World when they're a kid and your parents ended up taking you to the Dentist? No? Maybe my parents were just jerks then. But this place is kinda magical. They have a play area for kids and the rooms are brightly colored and fun. The staff is friendly and can handle a freaking out 5 yo. They also install TVs on the ceiling so the kids can watch while they get their teeth cleaned. My son is kinda panicky when it comes to this but they caught his queues and adjusted. My oldest daughter has been coming to this place since she was a baby. I like the doctors, they have done a great job which is why I've trusted them for 5 years up until now. I called the office to schedule an appointment for my youngest daughter's first visit, and I was denied from scheduling an appointment. They told me I had cancelled two consecutive appointments in the past, one which I had a family emergency and told them this prior to cancelling. I was told that it was "too many times", and that they would not be able to see neither of my kids. I tried explaining the reason for my last cancellation, which was a legitimate family emergency, and being a single mother, it is difficult to have someone take my girls without a notice in advance. I let them know I was unaware of their office policy, hoping to get a second chance as this was my first time knowing about this. I asked to please speak to the office manager and they put me on hold for almost 5 minutes, finally someone returned to the phone but it wasn't the same person I was originally speaking to. She told me that the manager was not available. I asked who she was, and told me "the person that dismisses people" and told me that she would e-mail me the office policy and there was nothing else that I can do to return. In complete shock, I asked for her name, which by the way, is STEPHANIE. I ended up calling the following day to hopefully get a hold of the office manager. Maria answered the phone who was nice enough to note down my concern and told me their office manager, Ruby, would return my phone call. I Never heard back from them again. No response was all that I needed. They made it very clear that my child, patient of theirs for 5 years was removed from their practice and were not allowing my youngest to be seen as a new patient. Unfortunately, as I must say that the doctors are great, the staff is horrible! They're rude, unprofessional and overall tasteless. From the front desk, to the office manager. Beware of this place. This clinic turned out to be very money oriented and showed low quality care to their patients. I have never experienced something like this anywhere and I hope to never again! Take your kids to a place where they are treated fairly, with dignity and respect, and just overall care. THIS PLACE IS NOT IT. read more

I have a child has anxiety issues. To say that they are TERRIFIED of dentists is an understatement. We have been to many, and have finally found our home. I contacted Smileland, and had a discussion about my child before we came in for an appt. This place is definitely for children, in fact as soon as you walk through the door there are things in place to make your child feel at ease. We had the pleasure of working with both Carmen and Dr. Arpi. Because I warned them ahead of time of her fears, they spent time to building a rapport and a sense of trust with my child prior to doing anything to her. With each step, they explained to her what was going to happen next. Needless to say, during the exam they found out that she had to have something done immediately. So we came back for another appt the following week. She had both Carmen and Dr. Arpi again, and put her mind at ease while they extracted a tooth. I could not believe that the child who would have full blown anxiety attacks with other dentists, felt so at ease at this establishment. It was wonderful. They are wonderful and very kind. I was telling my kids about the whole idea behind Yelp and my son (5) immediately told me we have to write a review for his dentist (who we haven't seen in weeks) because they are so great, everyone should know it. And they are. We have been coming here for about two years with our four kids, aged seven and under. They are great and gentle, always explaining what they're doing in the most kid-friendly way possible. When my baby took a fall last year they let me email a picture of her tooth injury before she was even a patient and the dentist called me with his perspective on her tooth. This was the perfect dental office to take my 13 month old for his first dentist appointment. There's a "play room" with toys and a tv playing kids movies right next to the waiting room, which was great for my curious and busy boy. We didn't have to wait long to be seen and our hygienist was wonderful. My son started to get a little fussy while we waited to be seen by the dentist so she gave him a bunch of stickers to distract him. Dr. Reza was great with my son (who was obviously scared and unsure since it was his first visit). He told us exactly what would be happening and the cleaning/exam/fluoride only took 5 minutes. Before we left, we even got a balloon which my son was thrilled about! Clean, kid friendly dental office with professional and friendly staff. What more could you ask for?! read more

Still 5 stars. I take my children for regular check-ups even though we have to drive 20 highway minutes to get here. But it's soooo worth it! My kids love everyone there. All the dentists have been nothing but wonderful and kind. The children receive balloons and prizes at the end of their visit. Today my son's grandmother took him to the dentist, I filled out a designation form online was able to call over the phone to pay for the copay. My daughter has been a patient of Smileland since we moved to the area 3 years ago. Recently I lost my job and my insurance changed, and Smileland refuses to take my new insurance. It is sad that patient loyalty is not a part of Dr. Reza's Smileland practice. We won't be using or recommending Smileland. I took my daughter in for her first official dental appointment back in November after being referred by a coworker whose children all see Dr. Reza and I'm sooooooooooo glad we went! Although I probably have one of the calmest toddlers during doctors visits, I was very nervous about how she'd respond to the dental visit. Everything went well!! She didnt cry, all of the staff were extremely friendly, sociable, polite, professional and you can clearly tell his dental assistants/hygienists actually know how to work with small children. The atmosphere of the office is perfect for small children and it helps to relax the nerves of us mommies/daddies once we see our babies having fun! I was extremely disappointed by the dentist and the highginist who was served my 5 years old son this past Friday. They wanted my son to take x-ray, and as Chemistry professor, I happened to know a little bit about x-ray and what it will do to children. When I told them that I was not ready for my child to take x-ray, they were very offended and became unfriendly to my son. The highginist left private note that I cannot see to the dentist. It may be not to help to remove one of the front lower tooth that was hanging and ready to be removed. When I asked both the highginist and the dentist to remove that tooth, they said that my child has to take an x-ray to remove the tooth that was hanging to come out. When I told them repeatedly that he is not ready for that, they said that I have to do it myself and I had to do it myself with no tools. It was horrible experience! I would not expect that people working with children to be that mean. read more

Amazing! My son, who has a few disabilities, was terrified about this visit. Everyone was so sweet and caring, and the hygienist and Dr. Anderson were so very gentle - my boy almost fell asleep! Dr. Anderson and the wonderful hygienist (whose name is slipping my mind - I'm so mad at myself) told him what they would do every step of the way, and let his Dad and I be with him during the process. I cannot recommend this place enough. Very clean, video games and TVs for the kids to play, beautiful offices and view, and just a super friendly staff, beginning with the the receptionist! My daughter was actually the first patient of Dr. Reza when he first opened his practice, he always remembers that and makes us feel special every time. I absolutely love this dental office. Scheduling is easy and I cannot imagine taking my son anywhere else. The waiting area is kid-friendly and the actual rooms are great with the tv's strategically located on the ceiling. They're also so accommodating with movie choices as well! Dr. Anderson is also amazing with our son and super informative whenever we have questions about brushing or teething or bottle feedings. She takes her time and makes sure that our son is as comfortable as he can be with someone literally in his grill and tells us how we can help to make the cleaning and check up easy overall. Maria is also very informative and super knowledgable and answers all of our questions and explains everything very clearly as well. I've been to this dentist office 3 times now. I like how the doctors, the receptionists and the nurses treat my 4 year old daughter. They take their time to make sure she feels comfortable. They have a great environment as well. My daughter loves the goodies she gets after her visit, not only her new toothbrush, but a toy from the treasure chest.
