Kelli and her sister did an amazing job with the cleaning: wearing masks and shoe covers to protect the recently-cleaned carpets. I had a very bad experience with this company and would absolutely recommend against them. I hired cleaners for a move-out "deep" cleaning of my one bedroom apartment. Two cleaners arrived 20 minutes later than the time window. They finished quickly in an hour and a half. On initial glance, they seemed to do the job. But when I went to do the walk through with my landlord it was clear they did a sloppy job - they did not clean the toilet at all and missed multiple areas on the floor. I had to buy cleaner and scrub the toilet myself because I had to move out that day. I contacted the company to notify them and they blamed me for not catching the problem initially and gave me a $25 refund which was just insulting. No one should have to scrub their own toilet after hiring professional cleaners. AVOID them at all cost. read more

I booked my move out/deep clean through Toria who was very quick and clear in communicating, first over email and then on the phone. Sheena and Adam provided the cleaning service and were fantastic! I was truly impressed with not only their professionalism and attention to detail, but also their kindness. They worked quickly and efficiently and our place was immaculate after their services! Really, I think it was in better condition than when we moved in. I had tried two other maid services and was fairly pleased. But I was looking for something more affordable and stumbled upon Smiles are Maid online. I highly recommend Amber and Ashley. They were friendly and professional. They were happy to do the bathroom the way I would do it myself. They even used my cleaning product to get it clean the way I like it. They went above and beyond with little details like putting plastic bags in my small trash cans. This place is sparkling!! The price quoted was the price I paid. Only once did I need to give negative feedback and they were very responsive and corrected it the next time. So, I scheduled a service from smiles are maid today--- I am a full time nurse, full time grad school (I'm going to deliver babies!!!), and planning a wedding. To stay above water I have not been so diligent on my cleaning. Also, I live in a loft from the 1920s and the house next door is being remodeled and it makes it dusty and pieces of the cement have been falling onto the ground. Tonight I am having an engagement part at my house- to treat myself I ordered a 160.00 deep clean from this company. I paid extra because I knew the person cleaning would have to work a little harder. My lady showed up fifteen minutes late (not a huge deal) and I went to test drive my bridal makeup/hair for my big party. Upon arriving home my house had been cleaned but not the way I expected or the way I would have done it. I have cement floors and they require sweeping and then hot steam mopping (I had shown her how to work it). It looked as if it wasn't swept at all and the hot steam was just ran over dirty floors. I went into instant panic. My guests are supposed to arrive in two hours and none of the appetizers are plated and I still had about two hours of stuff to do to get ready. I just needed her to leave, I needed at least sweep and mop 1000 square feet of floors. Some things look nice- windowsills and Needless to say, my hair and makeup look awful now and I am a sweaty mess. When calling to discuss how disappointed I am. I asked for the extra 50.00 dollars back for the deep cleaning services. She refused. The person in charge of the calls told me that I should have pointed out where the cleaner did a subpar job and made her complete it in front of me. Well that's not the kind of person I am. When I go to work I do a good job- and expect others to do the same. When I responded that I shouldn't have to directly tell someone that something is still dirty the woman on the phone responded with "what's dirty to someone is not dirty to others" and that they have before and after photos of my place and she said it looked cleaner in the afters. Apparently, having housecleaning services isn't for me because I expect the company to hire to manage it's employees without intervention from me. I would think twice about using this company. The person cleaning my house was really nice and I am giving her the benefit of the doubt, maybe she was just having a rough day. The tub/shower, sinks, and windowsills were cleaned really well and I hate doing that. read more

I paid for a two bedroom home to be cleaned. My house is very small (965 sq ft with one of the rooms not even being cleaned) but I still paid the higher rate and I was fine with that because cleaning people's houses probably isn't fun. I paid the extra $50 for deep cleaning and extra for wall spot-cleaning and extra for pet hair. The shower doors are still dirty and one of them is now completely off the tracks. They left the hand held sprayer in the on position so myself and my laid out clean clothes got soaked. None of the dirty spots on my walls were cleaned. I spent time after the fact moving the furniture to dust and mop because they didn't. I had to wipe down the counters because they were so fast there was still a film of cleaning product on them. I'm not sure what I paid over $200 for. Never again. Plus, they were 45 minutes later than the 2 hour arrival window and did the house in 2 hours. This tells me they are paid per house and not per hour which means they will not take their time and do a good job but rush through it. This is a failure in the business valuing their employees and the time they put into their work. read more

I was overall happy with my experience. I have 2 dogs, so I requested to be notified 30 minutes prior to arrival so I could put them in a room out of the way. Arrival time changed twice (due to weather), but I was notified via text and kept updated and I TRULY appreciate that. It helped so much. Great customer service. They were on time within the 2 hour window. I was satisfied with the cleaning, but there was a few things they missed. It looked like they didn't touch the small bathroom downstairs, there was white residue dust left on the counter in the master bathroom and cobwebs still hanging. They also rushed vacuuming the stairs and missed a lot of dog hair that I have to go back over and vaccuum myself. I may try different cleaners next time, but Smiles Are Maid agency is a great company, very responsive and 100% on friendliness and customer service. I will use them again when I'm looking to get another cleaning done. read more
