I am very disappointed with the customer service I received from your office regarding my account balance. I was charged for a service that I had already paid my portion for, while the remaining balance was not covered because I had lost my job and changed insurance. When I came into the office, I was not asked whether my insurance had changed, so the claim was apparently submitted through my previous insurance. When your office later contacted me about the balance, I explained that I had new insurance and asked that the claim be resubmitted through my current insurance. Instead of assisting me with correcting the issue, I was told that it was entirely my responsibility to notify the office of the insurance change. While I understand that patients have a responsibility to provide updated insurance information, I also expect a dental office to verify insurance information and work with its patients to resolve billing issues when an error occurs. I found the response I received to be dismissive and unhelpful, especially since I was willing to provide my new insurance information so the claim could be processed correctly. Unfortunately, the way this situation was handled has left me with very little confidence in your office's customer service. I have therefore decided to seek dental care elsewhere. I hope your office will reconsider how situations like this are handled in the future, as a little willingness to help resolve an issue would have made a significant difference. read more

The chip they repaired fell off within 24 hours. I went back and they repaired it but did not buff it. His assistant told him he needed to buff it. I kept telling the dentist it was rough. It is pretty bad when the dental hygienist has to tell the dentist how to do his job. I have since changed dentist. read more

I had an appointment for cleaning at 10:40 today. I arrived 10 minutes early and checked in. The woman at reception asked me my phone number and told me i never confirmed my appointment. I told her I never saw it. She then told me that next time that happened I would be charged a $50 cancellation fee. I asked her if i had an appointment and showed up on time I would be charged $50 for not returning a phone call? She said "that's correct." PATIENT'S BEWARE I just got off of the phone with Tina in Billing. Let's just say, this office does procedures without checking to see if it is covered under your insurance first then sends you the bill saying it is your responsibility.?? Well no, you as a billing person should be the one checking for the patient before something is done if it is covered and if not? If it is not covered then you give the Patient the information and the Patient has the option if they want to pay for it or not have the service done, it's pretty simple. It's called HELPING THE PATIENT, But wait that means you may have to do some work! Have we forgot how to help people these days SAD! I will no longer be going to an Office that can not work with the Patient, can you imagine if it is a major issue that would come up and as a Patient you are slammed with a huge bill that you were not expecting??? So unprofessional, that is not how your treat your Patient's, that is how you push Patient's away. read more

I love them there. The office is always clean and presentable. Everyone seems very friendly. I know it's a routine for them day after day dealing with the same questions the same things over and over so I think they're doing great. If I had to deal with the people that I've heard I'd be crazy different. Anyhow, five out of five, doctor is the best. And the dental tech that cleaned my teeth, you are amazing. read more

Went in for a crown. Next day i was in pain every time I bit down. Called at 7:00 am didn't get call back until 9:00 and was told they couldn't see me until noon the next day. Really, I came in with no pain and now i have to wait another day for them to fix their mistake. read more

From the reviews, I'm wondering how they can't get a new patient in for 7 months. The lady offered no other option, waiting list etc. Good luck with your business not taking new patients. Lack of good customer service skills shows in the initial communication. They obviously don't need new patients. Lady at the front desk was nothing but rude and unprofessional. She didn't have my online paper work after it took me 25 minutes to fill it out. Would not recommend. The dentists currently in that office are not good and overcharge for services not given. Beware: They state that they guarantee their work, but they do not! It's the old bait and switch. They switch from one dentist to another. They admire each other's work and say how great it is even though they do nothing to improve any mouth/teeth issues. Front desk personnel are incompetent and rude. They don't consider any thing an emergency. Most of all, they simply do crappy work! Awful, awful, awful! I went to Smiles to correct a mistake another dentist did and they were great. Jasmine and Tina were at the front desk and they were courteous and a delight! Dr. Patel did my procedure and he was very professional and amazing. I didn't even feel the needle he used to numb me. I would recommend this dental office 10 times over! I would not recommend this place at all. First of all, I ask them four times was my insurance in network. This was after my regular dentist there was let go. I will let y'all do your own research to find out why he was let go. It's public record. I asked the front desk again before I got back in the dental chair. Did you check to make sure my insurance is in network they said yes. The dental hygienist even asked the front desk, if my insurance was in network and they said yes. Now they're calling and harassing me about a bill. My past visits before my dentist was let go from that office. I had some concerns in my mouth about cavities. He said no they're fine. Well now my concerns are visible cavities. They do not know what they're doing at all. read more

They did not take my insurance after years of taking my insurance, but didn't tell me when I came for the appointment that they no longer took my insurance when the insurance gave me $40 they said to mail them the information and that they would take just the $40 that the insurance gave because it was their fault. They didn't re-up with my insurance in time, I sent them the information after asking if I could give her $40 over the phone she said she needed to see the paper first I said the paper and a few months go by and I got another phone call about owing 90 something dollars I said I sent the paperwork and she said she threw it in the garbage because there was no check with it and I Astor at the time if I needed to pain then or she said, just wait till I see the paper that you put in the garbage so I sent the paper again with a check for $40 And now I'm getting a phone call again about owing money. They had also done dentures for my husband before he passed. He went back five times to get them adjusted and they never were right. He died with his old pair in his mouth. I gave them the set that they had made. Not even being offered my $400 co-pay or anything for him never using something they could never get right and I know my insurance paid a lot for them if I paid 400 as 80% paid by the insurance. Thank God they didn't drop me before that one. The lady admitted that they didn't get it in time because of the scandal they were going through I will post how they handled the situation. read more

I have had cleanings there for quite a few years. when I first went they gave me a hard time about my insurance and I was gonna leave and I called my insurance from the parking lot who said they didn't cover it years ago I was so embarrassed. I was all the way in the seat when they told me they didn't take my insurance years ago after saying they did. they had no clue what they were doing then, now they didn't put it in to renew with my insurance and they didn't tell me the last time I had a cleaning. They asked me what my insurance gave which was $40 had they've re-upped with my insurance they would've gotten more The lady said to send the information I said, can I pay you this amount and she said no send me the informationso I did. they called me again and said they ripped up the paper because there was no check with it. Are you kidding me? I sent them another one and a check for the $40 and now I just heard a voicemail about my outstanding balance, do not expect these people to work with you and your insurance or let you know if they don't take your insurance anymore. definitely not the way to do business they said they would take with the insurance gave me and now they're calling me for more money meanwhile, the tops of my teeth are sharp and they don't address that at all and act like it's OK so it's probably a good thing that I'll be going some place else I'm sure the reason they drop the insurance was because they had said they forgot to get the papers in on time but they were going through such a scandal with the dentist and his child and some cocaine in the child's system that it doesn't matter if they drop insurance and don't let people know. read more

It is a good place to go. Caring people there, they tell you what to expect at each visit. Prices are higher there. I do recommend them.

As someone who suffers from anxiety a dental appointment can be a real struggle. Not only was the front desk staff amazing and friendly but the dental staff were so gentle and courteous. Smiles is definitely the place to go if you need a little extra TLC! read more
