After I called, he returned my call after 8 PM and agreed to see me. He treated the tooth right away and relieved the pressure from a rapidly developing abscess by opening three root canals. Want a sad story with a great ending? Then read on, my friends, read on. My friends were in town from the UK and one of them had broken their crown . . .and on a holiday weekend, no less. They went to a different place first that basically did nothing and charged them an arm and a leg, so they decided they had to get the darn thing fixed and fixed the right way all on Christmas Eve. They literally found Dr. Josh by driving down Broward, seeing a light on and pounding on the door. What was even more amazing is that Dr. Josh, opened the door, heard their plea and then stayed to fix the crown correctly and even offered to check up on it a week or so later. Now that is what service is all about! When my friends called me and told me all that had transpired, I was thrilled to find out that Dr. Josh took such good care of them. And you can only imagine how many people I have told this story to so I am hoping more business ends up coming Dr. Josh's way. Businesses are built on service and reputation. It's such a wonderful practice. I love the follow up. I got busy and neglected to make another appointment. I received emails, and a call which gave me the push I needed to come back. I tend to stay way from the dentist. The office is spotless, the staff are very friendly, and I love the lavender that is used while having an exam because it's very calming. The practice is offering a a plan to help patients save during the year on X rays, cleanings, implants, crowns, cavities, and other procedures. This is wonderful for me because I need an implant. I am a touring roadie with a rock band. While on tour, I popped a crown in catering on a Friday afternoon in Biloxi, MS. My next stop was Fort Lauderdale on the following day. A Saturday! In desperate need of a dentist that would see me on a Saturday, I searched "Emergency Dentist" near the hotel I was going to be staying at. A few dental practices came up, but only one was listed as "24/7", Smiles by Dr. Josh. I sent a message to the listed number and Dr. Josh got back to me within a couple of hours. We were able to set up an appointment for Saturday at 5:00pm! What a relief!! Dr. Josh took the time out of his Saturday evening to help me out. He is not only one of the kindest and most caring dentists I have ever seen, he is one of the kindest and most caring humans I have ever met. Dr. Josh has a deep passion for dentistry and and it shows with his knowledge of the most up to date techniques and equipment as well. He played soothing music and even applied some essential oils around my lips to help keep me calm. Then Dr. Josh cleaned the crown and took extra care in cleaning and prepping the location where the crown needed to be cemented back on. Since I opted to forego novocaine, he was extra gentle throughout the procedure. In about an hour's time the procedure was over and I made a new and wonderful friend in Fort Lauderdale.
