I went with my wife, an…read moreestablished client, and filled out paperwork while Dr. Dixon saw my wife - exactly at the scheduled appointment time. My wife had told me that Pam at the front desk was friendly and helpful, and that was certainly true. I have dental anxiety, but felt very comfortable waiting. I expected that my anxiety would ramp up once I was the patient. I was wrong. The hygienist, Julia, had a sparkling cheerful personality and I felt quite at ease. She also did a superb job with the dental cleaning/prophylaxis. (Later when we shared notes my wife commented on how thorough and unrushed her cleaning was.) During the cleaning Dr. Dixon, having reviewed my x-rays, came in, checked my teeth, and very efficiently provided an opinion that at present I needed no work other than regular check-ups and cleanings. It is now 12 hours since we left the office and I am still feeling grateful. My previous dental visit was with a doctor recommended by a friend. I was quoted a cost for an oral evaluation with imaging and cleaning prior to the exam, but when I arrived the office manager advised me the cost would be $100 more than quoted - however, this was resolved. At the end of the exam the dentist informed me that a deep cleaning was indicated and that it would be in my best interests to have bonding on two teeth. Luckily my cousin-in-law is a periodontist. He reviewed the x-rays, advised against deep cleaning, noted that the normal tests to monitor recession had not been done, and could find no compelling reason for bonding. My experience today was quite a happy contrast. My wife started with Dr. Dixon on referral from a close friend, who started with Dr. Dixon on referral from the friend's neighbor. At the time our previous dentist had retired. She had a tooth that had started to bother her. It was a bit achy and bothersome, and because she'd had something similar previously, she knew she would likely need work, maybe a filling or a root canal. Dr. Dixon did not go overboard. He took an x-ray of the tooth, and advised her it was okay. He explained that sometimes a tooth will just start to ache but if structurally sound the pain will usually ease up, just like achy knee might, and gave a few suggestions to speed this up. He was diagnostically on the money, and the achiness abated as predicted. My son had a bit of bonding glue left on one tooth from "permanent braces." He checked with an office in the town where he lives to see if they could remove it, and the answer was yes, certainly. However when he got to the office they advised him that first, as a new patient, he would need a full exam, imaging, and cleaning, with the total approaching $700. So he tried another office; similar experience. Then when visiting us he contacted an office highly recommended by a coworker; similar experience. My wife sent him to Dr. Dixon, who efficiently removed the bonding glue without rigamarole or hype. Innate honesty and caring more for your clients than your income should not be something that would be special, but sometimes it is. Unfortunately there seems to be excessive salesmanship in some health professionals' offices. I have every reason to think that Dr. Dixon's dental skills are superb, that he is an excellent diagnostician and very good at any treatment he might do, and will refer if he feels this would be best for the client. But additionally I completely trust his honesty and integrity. One more thing: at a previous dental office I was provided with a little note explaining how to leave reviews, noting how they appreciate good ones and how if you don't feel inclined to give a five-star review please don't leave the review but instead let them know how they can change this. Then I got a few texts and emails after every visit reminding me to leave a review. That office has a few hundred five-star reviews. I heard nothing about reviews when I was at Dr. Dixon's office. They are not pushy or promotional. I think that may be why this wonderful office has so few reviews. So if you are a client of Dr. Dixon, maybe consider saying something appreciative about him. Also, as another reviewer mentioned, his fees are surprisingly reasonable. He, Pam and Julia are friendly and enjoyable. I trust them. I resisted seeing Dr. Dixon because I wanted an office closer to my home. No longer. Now my priority is an office run by Dr. Dixon and his staff.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Dr. Yani's office…read more I started treatment in September '25 for a few cavities. I had no pain before, but since receiving treatment, I developed constant sensitivity, pain when biting, inflammation, and radiating pain in my cheekbone. Not a single tooth she worked on is fully functional, and she removed so much from my bite that even soft foods often slip through when I try to chew. Because I've been eating only on the right side for over five months, my facial muscles don't work evenly, causing jaw pain that required acupuncture. I was advised to get ozone injections ($600), which didn't help, but I was encouraged to continue them. While dealing with these complications, I was offered elective services, told to extract a tooth on the opposite side(which would have made eating solid food nearly impossible), and criticized for my teeth alignment. There was no accountability for the issues I experienced. I spent thousands of dollars without improvement. When I decided to get a second opinion, I was told I'd have to pay for my records. I refuse on principle. Throughout all of this, my concerns were minimized, and I was repeatedly told to "be patient" and "stay positive." The principle of "do no harm" was not followed in my experience. I cannot recommend Dr. Yani.
