The finance gal was super pushy - said she would only collect the minimum today, and would "see if insurance would pay after the procedure". If insurance did not pay (which we already knew they wouldn't), we could "have another discussion at that point". So in other words- procedure would be done so we would have to pay. They literally double teamed him - while he was laying in the dental chair - to try and force him into the extra procedure. The finance gal checked him out and was super rude entire time as she was still mad he would not agree to the extra work. I would not recommend this office to my worst enemy.

I had my wisdom tooth extracted here, I have severe fear of needles but the dentist took good care of me. Also, the dentist who did my root canal is the kindest and most empathetic dentist I have ever met, with my fear of needles I know I'm not the easiest patient to deal with but Lake Stevens Modern Dentistry made seeing dentists tolerable. Cost was clearly explained to me, so I know how much it would cost without surprises.

I went in for tooth pain on a previous filling when chewing gummy bears. He was very thorough with the exam and even went along which may have been an odd suggestion to test with gummy candy to figure out exactly which tooth. He decided to start off conservative by offering a filling to cover the "exposed dentin." He explained my risk factors (what he saw in my mouth--thin enamel from grinding and naturally thinner enamels based on my demographics) that would make my teeth more prone to sensitivity. After treatment (same day--not sure if that would always happen but very kind that he offered), he suggested some easy things I could do at home to try to control the pain. He wasn't too aggressive with treatment planning and didn't try to offer unnecessary treatment. Seems really ethical to me! The office was nice with a good view. Very clean overall. It was a little tough to find the place because of the weird roads, so plan a little extra time to get there... Or maybe I'm just really bad with my GPS! Lol. The office staff were really polite. Though Dr. Chung was definitely my favorite with that adorable smile of his. Lol. He even played along with selfies during treatment and a friendly pic at the end! I'm a grown woman who can admit she was once not exactly terrified but...admittedly pretty nervous any time I'd go to the dentist. Like the right before and day of, it's in the back of my mind-- "yay...Appt tomorrow" *insert dramatic cry emoji lol* and pit of your stomach scared almost. Such as many others, I'd had bad experiences in the past and that resulted in this girl being scared. After going here for my first check up, then cleaning and dental work, they were so patient and respectful of the fact I was a self professed nervous patient. While I remained collected during my first dental work visit, they suggested using nitrous to help my next visit if I really wanted it and others day before. I ended using it and I almost took a nap while getting filings. A NAP!! Never in my life did I think I would get that relaxed.... Flash forward to a filling where it was on the surface and not requiring any numbing: Dr. Amy said if I was up for it, that I could. I did so and the subsequently for another chip visit. To recap, my first visit I went in really nervous and today, I sit outside my dentist appointment waiting for my visit time because it's like getting my oil changed. No nerves whatsoever.
