He found the outlet to be defective (20 years after installation) and then checked the remaining kitchen outlets. At our request, he replace all three outlets. We also had Adam examine a porch outlet which would switch off when our Weber electric grill was plugged in. Had that replaced as well. We had purchased a new smoke alarm from Home Depot, and we Adam replace the old one since he had time available before his next appointment. I was delighted with Adam's willingness to deal with all of the items on my electrical "to do" list. While we have had a home warranty service since we purchased for our home, we have not always found the service people sent out for repairs to be the highest quality. We have been searching for an electrician that we could call to handle non-warranty repairs and home improvements. Update: since my last post we discovered issues with the wiring done for a tv mount and…read moreinstallation of media box. We had someone else come out to mount another tv in the house and he took a look at what was done and was shocked because he said most of it was not up to code. He showed us the several things that were done incorrectly and could pose a risk which included: wire casing missing towards the end where it implants into media box, circuit was extended by 6 ft so code is that it should've been made AFCI but it was not, the electrical box for the outlet the power was extended from was just cracked and broken to make room for wires instead of using the correct punch out areas (see picture). So we had to have that all completely redone and wasted almost $500 having it done incorrectly the first time. I still think they did a good job on our lights, which they seemed much more confident doing, but if they were unsure of how to properly do the wiring for the TV they should've told us so instead of proceeding to do it incorrectly and leaving a safety hazard. I don't like to be overly negative in reviews of local businesses, but because these things were not up to code and a potential fire hazard I felt the need to update this review.
