Highly recommend! Was visiting my daughters and my brake light came on. My daughter called Kody Monday morning, got me right in and my truck was finished before the day ended. My brakes feel soo much better and I feel safer knowing it was done by a reputable company that didn't nickel and dime me! Everyone I talked to was friendly, kept me informed of progress and price. There have been a few times where I was quoted a much higher price, or unnecessary repairs, at other places, and have come here for a second opinion. they're honest and don't take advantage of someone like me who doesn't know a lot about cars. These guys were great to work with. We took my son's truck here after he had a front tire blowout and unfortunately sent him over the center divider blowing out the back tire, as well some undercarriage issues. These guys came highly recommended to us from Fruitvale Automotive who is our go to for most things. It was out of their wheelhouse and confidently sent us to Smith &Son Tire. They were quick to get to the truck & down to business. They kept us informed at every step. They knew we were unsure if it was going to be a repair job or if we would be using insurance. In the end, we chose the insurance route and they made it easy for my son to collect everything else that was in the truck and for the appraiser to come out and do her job. She deemed it as a total loss, therefore ending our business with Smith & Son but they definitely have new customers in the future. read more

DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE. ( SMITH & Son) They lie and are not honest. I was told my car would be a 3 hour Job when I dropped off my vehicle . Which should've been $375. They charge $125 per hour for labor. I was charged for 5hrs Which I know for a fact it doesn't take 5 hours to replace 4 motor mounts. I was quoted by another mechanic for $650 With parts included. Coming here ended up costing me $925. I only came here because I trusted they were honest business. I had an appointment to drop off my car Wednesday morning at 9am. They didn't even start working on my car until late Thursday,mechanic called me Thursday before closing and said oh it's going to be around $500-600 . Then asked if I knew the owner, which I replied No! I was charged $625 just for labor. read more

I deleted two reviews to start over, first off, just understand I have been loyal to Randy since he was over there off Calloway back behind the school and the park. Kody was still in high school then, so we go back a long time. I consider Randy and Kody my friends along with Marty and some others who work here. There is much good about this local family owned business. They have always been able to get me a mobile tire service truck within an hour for fixing flats on my forklifts, tractor, my water truck, whatever has tire problems. They also have sold and installed tires for four 1/2 ton domestic trucks I have had, I usually drive these trucks 160,000 to 175,000 miles so that has been a lot of tires. Had a Ford that went through alignments and brakes, they kept it dialed in for about 4 to 5 years. Once when the installation was going somewhat slow, Randy tossed me the keys to his heavily modified personal truck and told me to go take care of my business. You will not get that at Big Brand or Big O. Kody has been very helpful down thru the years as has been Marty. Now for the bad- sometimes the counter service is lacking. Usually this is a communications issue. Every now and again it takes a while to have flat tires fixed. I would think this would be a bit over four stars. I will round up due to such a long term relationship most of which has been five stars. read more

Back in March, I had a problem with my rear shocks. As someone who admittedly is not knowledgeable about cars, I went to the tire shop I bought my tires from (which was only 2 years ago) to check what the problem was as apparently my tires are cupping. The quote I got for replacement of my shocks - more than a thousand!! I told them no thank you. My best friend said take my car to Smith & Son - honest and reliable and will not jack someone up for money. I took my car there the next day, quoted me for $250 which is a far cry from the $1K+ I previously got. They replaced my shocks within few hours and I'm a dedicated customer since then. This is the second time Smith and Son has come to our rescue, and they are great. We had a tire shred on our horse trailer while towing and they came out to our rescue and did an excellent job, and then last night my granddaughter had a bolt in her front tire while hooked up to the gooseneck. I called after hours and they set me up for first thing in the morning and our tech was prompt very courteous and was very helpful. He repaired the tire and we decided to put on another tire and keep the other for a spare. Chris in the office set everything up for us and our tech was back in no time with the new tire and we were ready to go. I ran over metal on the freeway, made it off the freeway to a gas station . Tire was completely flat. Smith and Son answered on a Saturday at 3 pm had a technician to me in 15 minutes after calling. It was 108 degrees out he was friendly , fast , put my spare tire on and got me on my way. I was all the way across town on Panama Lane. We called Smith and Son to find a specific replacement brand (Hercules) as we were headed that direction for a weekend camping trip.
