And this was minutes before she did it. And acknowledged she heard me. Same doctor misdiagnosed congestive failure. When I went in in June and complained about severe and painful edema with legs and groin swollen at least 3-4 times normal size, she said she didn't see a problem. In September when I told her I couldn't lay down without feeling like I was drowning, so I had serious trouble sleeping, she told me I should lay and my back. No exam, no questions. Less than two weeks later I couldn't walk ten feet without serious breathing problems. Admitted to two different hospitals in October. Feel much better now. Specialist she referred me to is upset my test results are too high. Yet she won't prescribe my meds to normalize them. First time, and only time, I see her she asks if I need any refills. I tell her yes, which ones, and even the dosages and confirmed which pharmacy ; she said okay which to me meant she would take care of it. Pharmacy never heard from her. Furious doesn't even begin to describe how much it bothered me. When I finally calmed down enough to call her, she called in one med but not the other - the one for which my tests were out of whack and I was symptomatic. Never again. I shouldn't have to supervise my doctors like this.

I was a person that grew up with fear of drugs (blame Nancy Reagan & Tipper Gore LOL), especially cannabis. Dr. Z and the NP Megan have explained the use of various cannabinoids and specific terpine profiles that I am FINALLY able to have some relief! I have been able to get some sleep at night, which is AMAZING after years of insomnia. I have learned about how to use the least amounts of THC and be able to function with less pain during the day-- This is what we are currently working on, and it's been eye opening. It's an incredible balance of science and art. I feel like they have taken the time to understand my specific situation, developed a plan, and based on our zoom conversations/appointments we have been able to figure out which strains/profiles have the best outcomes for specific situations/times. When I have to "project manage" their staff as one of my projects as part of my day job, taking valuable time out of my business day (for which costs my company money) to have to keep calling every day and making sure their staff performs the most basic of tasks (like actually providing via email and fax ALL of my medical records and related doctor visit notes to an insurance provider (because the insurance provider had provided proof they received nothing from their office)), that is inexcusable. When I have to drive to their office to make sure something which should have been done, and their assistant who felt is "annoyed" that I am interrupting her busy day and talks to me as if I am a nuisance, yeah you can bet I am going to be pissed off. The front office staff are incompetent at best and lazy, unsupportive at worst. Their only value add is scheduling. And also FYI, they look as far from professional as staff can get, with exposed tattoos and nose and lip rings.

Dr. Golden did not make time to see me anymore, and I was forced to see a "nurse practitioner, who had NO knowledge of my severe injuries and no bedside manner to treat me with the kindness and patience chronic pain requires. She once greeted me with "What's wrong NOW, Lynn?!" I was hospitalized for 2 weeks at MGH, released w/ condition that I see Dr. Golden that week...BUT HE REFUSED, claiming he'd just seen me a month ago & it was unnecessary. Other Yelp reviewers claim Dr. Golden does not spend any time with his patients & all sick visits are with nurse practitioner. THE DEAL: If you have any serious condition, illness or injury, I don't think this is the best Primary Care Doctor choice. He appears to prefer treating colds, flu and mild injuries.

The only problem with DL is that, on most occasions, there will be a wait - especially for Dr. Pikus! I don't know if he's a popular doc, or something, but he's always booked. His nurse is quite a pleasure to speak to when I'm having an issue. She evaluates my issue, discusses it with Dr. Pikus and he'll usually tell her what to say. Although there have been times when she's given me her own remedies and ideas, that have worked of course. I've been seeing Dr. Pikus for several years now and I couldn't be seeing a better doctor!

BUT when I followed up with Dr. Pikus regarding some of the side-effects of the surgery he did not seem to know what to tell me... what he did tell me was to research it on line and try to connect with people who have had the same problems! I had more than a few appointments with Dr. Pikus since the surgery and he still has not addressed the issues. I went to two specialist on my own for my concerns and they ordered tests. In another instance a specialist ordered a prescription for me and so happened I had an appt. w/ DrPikus just after and he said I didn't need that prescription... then I went yet to another Dr. who re-ordered the first Dr.'s prescription saying he did not know why Dr. Pikus said I did not need it. I have lost my confidence in Dr. Pikus.

Some of the NPs are sharp and caring, but some are impatient and condescending. My doctor, though a nice guy, was inattentive and didn't really process what I was saying to him or order the tests that were specific to my conditions. Things fell through the cracks with the staff, and the wait times to get through to the practice by phone was often very long -- until recently, around an hour. There are better doctors and better practices. Go elsewhere for your healthcare.

I had called in December 2025 specifically to ask if they would be taking this plan and they said they would which is why I signed up for that plan. Now I'm left with no PCP and it's almost impossible to find a PCP that will take new patients. Stay away from FMA they don't care about their patients!
