They held my tax information hostage for over a month. We completed the taxes in office but needed to give him a decision on how we would like it to be filed. We emailed him and he said he would get if finished. We called the office numerous times and were told it wasn't done or it would be by noon that day. We also sent emails that were ignored. When we finally spoke to him, he half apologized. At that point I just wanted to get it over with. When I realized I needed to add another document, I brought it to the office and was told they would get back to me. I never signed my taxes, but they are now being deposited in my bank. How is this possible?! DO NOT use this unprofessional, untrustworthy office! They are only out for money and overcharge for services they took over a month to even respond to! They made me feel awful. I expected so much better and am left with the bad taste of distrust in my mouth. read more

Called to schedule an appointment for a tax return with them, over the phone I asked if I could get a little cheaper rate than last year as I already had my taxes done with them and it probably would be way less time consuming since I have all the information this time and they had mine, the lady said that they should be able to do that. Got charged $20 more than last year while it took us half the time (around 30 minutes). Not to mention that they had "lost" my appointment and I had to wait 30 minutes, they didn't offer compensation for that either, so I paid $175 for 30 minutes tax return. read more

Love these guys! Was looking for a new accountant and a friend referred them. After being told by my old accountant I would be paying $10,000 in taxes (we own a business), I went to Smith, Kunz & Associates. They did the work and I was actually able to get a tax return. Money in my pocket, not the feds!! This has NEVER happened since we had owned our business. They give me a discount for having all of my things in order. I print out a quick books report and they go from there. I can drop off my tax stuff, and in a couple of hours they have it ready for me. They were able to take an overview of how I run our business and they made suggestions as to how to save money. Recently we have hired employees. They take care of my payroll reports fill out everything for me and show me where I need to sign. Their services are very reasonable. Believe me I've asked a lot of dumb questions and they've never made me feel stupid about asking. I love their honesty! Brad Smith actually told me once on a visit that he is a tax nerd, he enjoys learning about the tax laws. He has worked in Washington and is bent on making sure that the feds get no more of the citizens taxes because of their unaccounted spending.
