I was assured that they were. However, after our visits, we received a bill for more than $300 for services that we believed would be covered by insurance. When I contacted the billing department multiple times to resolve the issue, I was told that the office charges more than what my insurance allows for a cleaning. Had this been explained upfront, I could have made a more informed decision about receiving care there. I was also disappointed with how the billing situation was handled. Despite repeated attempts to discuss the matter, no meaningful resolution was offered. We even received a past-due notice before ever receiving a proper statement outlining the charges. The clinical experience itself was not particularly positive. The hygienist was chewing gum during the appointment and was not especially gentle. My son was given fluoride treatment without anyone discussing it with me beforehand or asking for permission. The office environment also felt dated and less welcoming than other dental practices we have visited locally. Overall, between the unexpected charges, lack of communication regarding costs, billing frustrations, and the quality of the patient experience, this was not a positive experience for our family. I would encourage anyone considering this office to carefully verify all costs in writing before receiving treatment.

It is so nice to go to a place that has the skills and integrity to do the right thing for their patient rather than just enrich their business. For example, Georgetown professionals wanted to charge me over $300 for a bite guard so I wouldn't grind my teeth. That's expensive. I said I'd think about it. When I went to Overloop, he told me that my grinding was moderate and didn't call for a bite guard unless I was having adverse symptoms. He also said it would cost $150. That's over $150 less than what Georgetown Professionals quoted me! This is how businesses should work. They stand behind their product, properly educate, are friendly and do the best they can to get you in when there is a dental emergency. Many problems with my children have happened on a Friday, it's so nice knowing they are open. Couldn't be happier with our switch. This is a great business run by great people. At the next appointment, that I had gone into thinking I was just having a normal filling appointment, they told me while I was sitting in the chair that they may have to do a root canal on the tooth that they were filling a cavity, but they wouldn't know until they were inside my tooth. They were essentially telling me that my $200 appointment (I did not have dental insurance) could possibly turn into a $3,000 appointment, but they won't know until they are already doing the procedure. I know people who have gotten root canals, and I know that you can tell beforehand if you need one or not. I'm only giving 2 stars because once the hygienist realized I was internally freaking out, she told me that maybe I should just think about it and come back another time.
