I was assured that they were. However, after our visits, we received a bill for more than $300 for services that we believed would be covered by insurance. When I contacted the billing department multiple times to resolve the issue, I was told that the office charges more than what my insurance allows for a cleaning. Had this been explained upfront, I could have made a more informed decision about receiving care there. I was also disappointed with how the billing situation was handled. Despite repeated attempts to discuss the matter, no meaningful resolution was offered. We even received a past-due notice before ever receiving a proper statement outlining the charges. The clinical experience itself was not particularly positive. The hygienist was chewing gum during the appointment and was not especially gentle. My son was given fluoride treatment without anyone discussing it with me beforehand or asking for permission. The office environment also felt dated and less welcoming than other dental practices we have visited locally. Overall, between the unexpected charges, lack of communication regarding costs, billing frustrations, and the quality of the patient experience, this was not a positive experience for our family. After a quick Google search of "dentist near me," I stumbled upon Dr. Chris Mountford and the Mountford & Ruszkowski Family Practice. Dr. Mountford called me back immediately. Within 45 minutes, he opened up his practice in his snow gear and with his son in tow. My son's tooth was treated and put back in place within an hour. Dr. Mountford did an excellent job. With tooth pain as bad as I have I asked to get seen by the doc and the lady that answered said I couldn't get another appointment until next week Tuesday. So I said maybe I should look for a new dentist because the pain was unbearable. She says "good luck" So I say did you really just say that? She said yes good luck with finding a new dentist we can no longer help you. Her name was Jessica. So much for having a caring team to answer phones and take care of your clients.
