In today's business world, customer service is everything. How you treat and respect customers, how you help them and how you help resolve issues says it all. But, Apparently, customer service is not an important quality that this business feels it needs to maintain or to instill in their employees. After my 5 minute conversation with a female employee over the phone today, it became very clear to me that this is a business I have no need to ever recommend to anyone. And if one of my employees treated a customer the way I was treated, they would not have a job. I'm almost 52 years old and believe me, I have dealt with some real winners out their. Even the other adults in my vehicle who heard the way this lady behaved were appalled.
In a nutshell this is what happened. Last Saturday, my son and I entered this store and purchased around $60 in items including two quarts of Kawasaki Oil that was priced at $5.49 each. At checkout, the lady helping me asked if I wanted a bag or a box. I told her a box. I paid the lady with cash, grabbed the box and walked out. I put the box in my back seat and left it there. Got home later that day and realized I didn't have the oil. I started thinking did I leave those on the counter, was their another box I simply didn't grab or what.
So, today, I call the store to try to see if I had left them there. A lady answers the phone and it goes downhill from there. She refused to help me, refused to take my name/number so they could simply communicate with others to see if the oil was there. When I asked if I could speak with someone else, she refused. She made every excuse she could to not help. No matter what I said or how I approached the issue, I got nowhere. I finally got frustrated with her and made the following comments, "I have been very polite to you asking for help and you have treated this way. This is not some scam, I'm simply trying to figure out what happened and asking for help. I'm done with you. This in only $11.00 its not the end of the world and you treat me like this". And then and only then did she asked for my name and number.
After I hung up, everyone in my vehicle looked at me with their mouth hanging wide open. I'm not going to repeat what they said, but as you can imagine, it was not polite.
People, it's your money, do as you wish. There is no way in good conscious I can ever recommend this store to anyone for I would not want you to go through what I dealt with. All I asked for was a little help trying to figure out what happened to the two quarts of oil. I never threw blame at anyone other then myself because I simply thought I left it in the store. That was all. And I get treated this way, UNREAL!
