The gym was working out great, however I wasnt able to make classess due to the times not working out for me, which is why i joined. I have been trying to cancel and its been harder than reaching the president. I wrote a cancel letter and mailed, I dropped off a letter, i emailed and i called and still keep getting charged its been 3 months. I'm a strength coach in Las Vegas and am home for the holidays and let me tell you, what a little gem of a gym I found while I was home. Melissa and Bob are so kind and welcoming and hooked it up for me and my sisters so we would have a place to train at while we were home for the week of Xmas! Do yourself a favor and save yourself a headache , do not sign up for this gym. As far as the gym itself, the facility is decent. Good equipment, smaller than your average gym. The men's locker room is a bit dated and could use an upgrade. They have old lockers like the ones I had in middle school and a handful didn't seem to work all that great. The showers are ok, there is no place to put your soap, so plan on leaving it on the ground if you plan on showering there. Now on to how this place is run... I signed up membership in February 2020, the basic plan , $35 a month. Then COVID hit and the gym was closed for approximately a month or so. I had emailed the owner, Melissa to inquire what would happen to my account during this time the gym was closed. I was given an option of having my membership frozen or given a credit at the end. I opted to have my membership frozen. I received an email from her indicating "It has been processed". A month later, however it never happened, my account was still charged. I emailed the owner again , to receive a reply indicating she never got the email in the first place and to forward her all the emails previously mentioned, so I did. I never heard back. A year later, February 2021, when my contract SHOULD have ended, I came in to try to cancel, however the front desk person stated only the owner had the authority to process a cancellation. I asked them when she would be in, however, they said they did not know. This proceeded me to calling the next 2 days to see if the owner was in, but the same front desk person said she would pass my number to her and she would be in touch with me, which never happened. This resulted to me emailing the owner as it seemed like she wasn't in too often and could care less about her customers concerns. I addressed that I wanted to cancel my membership and I was told I needed to pay an additional 2 more months in order to cancel because of the fact they were closed and they mentioned I needed to give 30 days notice, which they said did not happen which resulted in me paying an additional month! If I'm getting charged til April, but came in February to give my termination notice, explain to me how that isn't more than enough time. So after about 2 weeks of back and forth emails, I decided it was just a losing battle and payed their shady $105. In the beginning I really wanted to stray away from a big box gym and help out a local business. Boy was I wrong, it is not worth the trouble, do not sign up for this gym. Poorly run, communication is terrible and their policy is not thoroughly explained up front. If this review helps me save a few people from signing up , paying the $105 makes it worth it. read more

Had an appointment to go over a 60 day fitness program with diet and workout. Arrived to find no one at the front desk even though I had confirmed my appointment. The owner came in and basically walk past me then asked my name. I was the only appointment scheduled at the time...shouldn't she have known who was coming in? She also didn't introduce herself. Then I went into a messy office to discuss the plan which uses 'my fitness pal' and some sort of workout. Regretfully I signed up thinking this could work. I left there without copies of what I signed and no paperwork describing the services I was going to get. I intended to address this when I came in the next week for my appt. A few days later, family circumstances required me to cancel the program because I would not be able to fully commit to the exercise and check-ins. I was offered a credit so when I can return I can get the services. She said, I couldn't cancel because I took a spot in the program already...even though a few days later they were still offering the program on FB. Haven't heard from them again. Not professional and not at all compassionate. Don't recommend. I even asked for a 50% refund which is generous since I didn't receive any services or information. read more

I stopped by for a day pass because I was in town for work, after paying $15 I changed in the locker room and then came out to workout. Only to see that ALL 10 people working out in this small area had NO MASKS on. I'm not saying they were wearing them improperly (like under their nose or chin) but NONE ON AT ALL. Not a mask in sight. I looked over to the front desk only to see the front desk worker had pulled her mask below her chin to talk to an unmasked member. I literally cannot understand why anyone would allow this because at this point in time it's literally against the law. And this is a SMALL gym, just one room. I respectfully told them I was uncomfortable and asked for my money back which hopefully will happen. I am a young and healthy individual so I'm not afraid of getting COVID, but this is blatantly disrespectful of the many out there who are sick and dying. read more

When you want to terminate your membership they make you write a letter and The membership ends 30 days from the date of letter. terrible with returning phone calls or emails. I was a member since they opened. I had no issues with the facility. It's a small gym but they have most equipment. They have a squat rack, deadlift platform, smith machine, bench press, cardio, small turf area with sled, functional training area etc. the treadmills glitch often even though they are new. The gym goers are cool and not jerks. My issue is with management/ the owner. She is not easily available. Will ignore messages/ emails. The contract I signed was very basic. When I needed to put a freeze/ cancel my account I kept getting charged. I was never told I would be charged when I filled out the freeze form, and the freeze form did not indicate I would keep getting charged. My first messages regarding this were not answered the she was unavailable to address the issue due to a family emergency. My membership ended up being canceled in November since she could not address the freeze issue. I was then charged yearly dues in January. When I contacted her about these charges she told me yearly dues are due at the end of the year. The original contract did not state this, nor was I told this upon cancellation. She also tried to make it seem like she was doing me a favor for not charging cancellation fees. We joined in 2019 with a year contract. The contract did not state it would renew yearly and you can only cancel on your anniversary (in my experience once the year is fulfilled you can cancel anytime, unless otherwise specified.) I canceled at the end of 2021 so I more than fulfilled my original obligation. The contracts/ forms are beyond basic and there is not detail on any of the "policies" she claims are in place. I was never told that I would continue to be charged after placing my account on freeze. It seems like the "policies" are made up after the fact to avoid giving a refund. She has ignored my last email about this and communicating with her is useless. She talks in circles. She also tried to blame her employees for the lack of communication. It doesn't matter if it was their fault or not, ultimately management/ the owner would be responsible for actions of the employees, not the consumer. She has spoke bad about previous employees in an attempt to pass the blame to them. TLDR: the owner is very unprofessional. The contracts are very basic and they will make up the rules as they go to avoid refunding inaccurate charges on your account. This is unfortunate because I enjoyed this gym. read more

I've had the hardest time dealing with this place to cancel my membership. I've been a member for well over a year and was wanting to cancel my membership seeing how I've moved to a different state. All of the reviews about trying to cancel are correct. My year membership was coming to an end and I sent an email asking about canceling well in advance of this. I received no response to 3 emails I sent. I called and was told I would receive a call back from the owner, which never happened. I emailed again and finally got a response asking me if I had sent a request to cancel. I referenced the 3 previous emails I sent. No response. I had to contact my credit card company to deal with it because they continued to charge me after the 12 months. Also, they did not enforce the mask requirement which is why I did not feel comfortable going despite what the owner said in a response to someone else's review. read more

Fraudulent business, we cancelled due to having a gym in our apartment back in July. Cancelation process is to go in person and write a letter stating you would like to cancel which is given to the owner. Problem is the owner is never there and is definitely never available to take phone calls so all you can do is leave a message with someone who is there, after waiting weeks and seeing charges still we attempted to call multiple times and still nothing so we had to go through the bank which worked for one month until they started charging from another account. We now have charges from three different accounts since July which tells me the fraud is deliberate and the owner is well aware. Also if you see a charge from the sevigny group you should know they are not allowed to do business in RI since June 2021. Do not go here this is a fraudulent business. read more

Have been at this gym for over a year now, and it is by far my favorite place to be. The friendly and welcoming environment, along with the high quality equipment is just unmatched. I have never had any issues with staff, management, or instructors. The place is overall pretty well kept, and you always see staff walking around making sure the gym floor is clean and organized. A bit on the pricier side but you get what you pay for with the establishment for sure. read more

Shady staff. Membership paperwork is deceiving. Do not give them your debit card information, as there will be unprecedented charges after cancellation which they will not make you aware of. Going forward I now feel that I must get an advisor before signing any gym contracts. read more
