The employees at this particular location are the BEST!!! We've tried the locations in Wilmington, NC and Leland, NC and hands down there is NO COMPARISON! We've had multiple problems with the other locations, but NEVER a single issue here. This is the ONLY Smithfield's we will eat at. The manager, Mr. Huggins, is so respectful and thoughtful. He also truly listens to his patrons if they have suggestions. You can also tell that he's a great boss because his employees are HAPPY! Now honestly people, how many times do you see HAPPY employees especially in a restaurant? One of our favorites is Khisa. She's always friendly with a beautiful smile on her face and is always working hard to make our visit a joyous one. We look forward to seeing her each time. Besides the excellent service, they have hot fresh food that's always delicious and the restaurant is kept extremely clean. You won't see a messy table for very long. Even the floor is kept clean and swept. So if you want a great place to eat that has it all, you have got to try this place... you won't regret it! Mrs. Sherry Hinds was working the window when I pulled up for my order. I usually don't do reviews because I barely have time for anything but this was a must! I was having a bad day and went by here for a late lunch. Mrs. Sherry was so kind, polite, genuine, gave me the biggest smile and welcome, just all the above! Let's just say my day got better when I met her at the window. It doesn't stop there. I sat in the parking lot to eat and saw her walk outside, I'm sure for break or something. Her smile had melted and she looked down at the ground like her spirits were down. I'm saying that to say this, no matter what she is going through it didn't stop her from doing a great job. The people taking orders don't pay attention and you telling people no slaw on your sandwich and they put it on there anyways and you get 2 miles down the road and have to turn around and come back people taking orders. Do not pay attention to what they're doing you're telling them those slow when they put it on there anyways plus they want to argue with you that's why I don't go to Smithfield in Whiteville North Carolina too much anymore. I wanna know why I get better service at lumberton North Carolina over there and they gave me a senior discount. Whiteville don't ever ask me. I don't think I would even be going to Whiteville if they did not give me the coupons in the mail. read more

I come here everyday sometimes twice a day for a sweet tea with extra ice. I don't know everyone's name but the drive thru cashiers are always the most genuine and caring people I come in contact with. That's part of the reason why I come everyday, they make me feel welcomed even though I don't spend a lot of money they make me feel like I matter as a customer. I'm a GM of one of the nearby restaurants and service I get from them is exactly the service I train my team to give everyone that visit our restaurant. We decided to try Smithfield's for lunch on our way home from the beach this afternoon, great choice. Staff was AMAZING! We were greeted as soon as we walked in and felt welcomed, very rare now a days. Took a few minutes to order our food because there was a lot of people, but once we ordered our food was brought to us in minutes. Great food and Customer service! We spoke to the Manager and told her what a great experience we had, I loved what she said, "Thank you for keeping US employed" Definitely will be back! We just had the greatest experience at the Whiteville, NC Smithfield's thanks to DENISE! She was so incredibly patient and kind when my mother and I had questions about the menu. She explained everything and didn't make us feel rushed at all. She was efficient and an excellent multi-tasker when she was pulled in different directions. We eat at Smithfield's in Whiteville, NC about once a week. Denise always goes out of her way to take care of us. No task is to large or small for her. She always makes our visit more enjoyable. We really appreciate her service. The restaurant is always clean and well-staffed. Getting on and off the Highway is a bit tough now due to major road construction, but it's worth the effort. read more

We ride our bikes from WS once or twice a year and starting stopping here instead of McDonalds and other poison restaurants. This is a great place, love the music. Denise was so kind and caring. If you order bbq plates, make sure to ask for red sauce. It is so good mixed in with bbq. We overheard a couple behind us ask for it, so we tried it too.
