I love Smiths Pharmacy and the amazing people who work their behinds off for all of us! I have been going to Smiths Pharmacy since they opened back in 1900's! Haha! I have seen all the updates and makeovers and will stay with them as long as they are there. I have had some tough technicians and some amazing technicians. Right now, every single person working in there are incredible humans and treat us with respect and kindness. To name a few, Ethan, Kimberly, Reese, Sadie and Angela. I have been in a long line and have watched some customers berate the pharmacists and the pharmacy technicians. These people have been yelled at through the gate because they closed and the customer missed getting in there on time. Thank you for all you do! i've been going to Smith's pharmacy for over 20 years after we left CVS because they were so overpriced. I love the service, especially from their pharmacists in particular Ethan. I had a medicine question to ask him and he took so much time to help me, I needed to know about side effects and things like that. He explained everything to me and I told him I think Doctor should stop prescribing medication and let pharmacist do it. He laughed and said well we have a lot of education on pharmaceuticals obviously. I love the fact that I can call Smith's anytime and they will always put the pharmacist on, and he will take as much time as I need. It gets confusing when you're taking different pills and you wanna know the interactions. Thank you, Smith's for not only having the best customer service but also for having the best prices. Don't understand why someone so empathetic would work in this industry. We were in transit with a stop over in Carson City. We had transferred my gf's pickup location to another pharmacy in Carson City. They notified her it would be ready Friday morning. Friday morning came and a text notice came stating that pharmacy was out of the prescription. Anxiety levels ran high as we scrambled to find another pharmacy that could fulfill the prescription before our departure time. After calling around, Lisa at the Smith's pharmacy kept us calm and told us what we need to do. No matter how many times I called, Lisa shared what she knew and what we should do next. The entire staff at the pharmacy, Lisa, the doctor and the woman working the front, her name escapes me. They helped us greatly. Even down to finding the best price. We really appreciate all your help in a quick manner for going above and beyond when another pharmacy dropped the ball. Thank you! While waiting, the staff helped out numerous patients with a variety of questions, aliments and picking up. Everyone was helped in a quick manner. I have used this pharmacy often of the past, mostly for vaccinations (flu, COVID, TDAP) but also for an occasional prescription (I use Walgreens for most of my prescriptions since they are national, and you can fill them anywhere you are traveling). They are close to my home and convenient. Though the pharmacy doesn't have great reviews, I have almost always had a positive experience. I always have made an appointment online for a vaccination and never had to wait past my time. I have found the employees, both the different pharmacists I have seen and the technicians, to be professional, friendly, responsive, and knowledgeable. They have respected my time. The vaccine process is simple: when your date and time come for the vaccination appointment that you already made online, you check in. I have almost never waited in line, mostly because I go to the first available appointment in the day, or later in the evening when it is quieter. But I have noticed when there is a line, it goes fast, often with a second technician stepping in to help out (there are two windows). Then they have you look over the pre-printed form, with info you filled out online, and you confirm it is ok. Then they have you wait in the seating area for the pharmacist to get the injection ready. There are like five or six chairs there, so there are plenty. Then the pharmacist calls you in to a private room and does the injection. The first time I went there, for a COVID vaccine, I even got a goody bag, with things like wipes, hand sanitizer, masks, etc. I also have never had any pain or bruises here from the actual intramuscular injections in the arm. One pharmacist, Tom, actually does a 5-second "mini-massage" over the injection site to reduce any tightness or tension, to help with potential pain or inflammation. I like his injections the best! Then the pharmacists give you the receipt and required FDA printed information for the vaccine and has you wait in the waiting area or shop for 10-15 minutes to make sure there are no adverse effects. They are good in that way, following all safety protocols. Of course, you could leave, but I always hang out since I am polite. I noticed there was a free blood pressure tester in the waiting room a few years ago; I assume it's still there, but I haven't looked. There is free Wi-Fi available too (I used to have trouble with email there from my phone, but they have fixed that in the last year or so, so now everything is reliable and fast). I have always found the pharmacy area (as well as the entire store) clean, even their restrooms. Parking is always easy too. There is a wide storefront, so there is always parking close by. The lot is bright and feels safe, with the employees constantly coming out to round up carts. I did have a problem one time getting them to dispense three tubes of my prescription-only high-fluoride toothpaste. The tech said they could get only one tube at a time, due to supply limitations. I had a feeling she wasn't quite right. It seemed like she had the one in stock and wanted to dispense it, and not go through the hassle of ordering more. I wanted them in quantiy, since I was paying cash, and got a lower price per tube for three using GoodRx. In the past, Walgreens had no problem getting three at a time. So, after this, I went to Walmart, and they easily got three the next day. I also wish their online vaccine process could be more integrated, like having an online cancelation available, instead of having to call them. I've also had glitches where I have logged into my account, but when I filled out the info for the vaccine appointment, I later found out it hadn't read my login. But this has more do with how corporate (Kroger) has designed the process (Smith's is a Kroger company). But aside from the minor above hiccups, I am very happy with this particular pharmacy, and will use them again. Nothing can be perfect. read more

This pharmacy is an example of how being a corporate chain doesn't equate to being distant, cold or scant. From my personal experience the staff have always been extremely courteous. Multiple times staff members have gone out of their way to help fulfill a difficult request or just to give assistance. They've always been willing to mail anything that we've asked for. Which is a marvelous help to those such as I that have health issues & cannot always get to the pharmacy. As usual today was a great visit. I received my purchases in a timely manner. I come to this pharmacy exclusively for my vaccines because the pharmacist is the BEST at giving shots. He is incredibly knowledgeable and genuinely caring. He gets it right in the middle of the muscle, no blind stabbing into my shoulder. I'm so grateful for how he always puts me at ease when it's time for a shot. I had an important pharmacy refill that I needed done, I allowed Smith's Rx three business days to complete. I came in Monday after work to acquire my prescription and was told that "it needed to be ordered and the other Smith's didn't have it either." This prescription is for epilepsy and needed on a daily basis. If Smith's Pharmacy cannot process the order for any reason (per vendor error, store error, any error), then your standard operating procedure should be to contact the buyer and notify them immediately instead of waiting for the buyer to enter the store and find out that your Pharmacy did not even begin the order process. At least give your customer a chance to locate it in time. This is an embarrassment. You have acquired an upset customer on a high level. My wish is that Smith's and its pharmacy change the parameters of how they handle their customers' orders. I hope in 2022, Smith's begins a more organized, customer friendly, and definitely more professional routine. My message to you is being copied and sent to different platforms along with the date and time I have sent it, in case Smith's Customer Service "somehow didn't see it". Been using Smith' Pharmacy for prescription I just started taking couple months ago. The price has been 10.12 each time. Last night when I went in to p/u the prescription, the price was $18.72. What happened? James at counter said Smith' Pharmacy no longer has contract with GOODRX. Smith's ended it the past Monday, 3/7/22. That's not surprising for Smith'. Now I remember why I quit the pharmacy couple years ago; too many mistakes. Started counting the pills in bottle when I realized they were short a pill or two. One time bottle was short 10 pills, and I went back to pharmacy that time. If you use GOODRX, you can use it at Costco; you don't have to be a customer. And looks like WalMart accepts it. Just make sure you have joined GOODRX. PS I called the company, GOODRX, to let them know about Smith's Pharmacy. read more

I have been using this pharmacy for around 10 years. But for about the past five years it has been suffering horrid customer service and weak management. The majority of the customer service issues can be laid at the feet of someone with the first name of Kimberly (pretty sure that's her name), she is the blond others are talking about. She gets off on putting you down. Anytime I have had questionable service it comes down to straight in your face lies from this lady. Well that and her seeing to what she wants, rather than what I want. I had hoped that management would have weeded her out by now, but apparently they are super happy with her. This pharmacy used to be great, awesome at being on top of their prescriptions, speedy service, and no issues. But every time I have needed to refill a prescription recently, it takes me about a month before I even get it. This last refill I only needed 1 prescription filled. I called on Oct 4th, I finally got it today, the 28th. I called the pharmacy a total of 14 times (yes i counted) in that time and physically went in to retrieve my medication upwards of 15 different times. Each time I was told that my prescription wasnt ready but would be within a few hours or next day, never given explanation as to why. I understand with the pandemic that they may be short staffed, overworked, and maybe dealing with a lot of the public in this time so I can usuallt forgive long waits in these situations... but this is getting ridiculous how much time I spent without my medication! I need to take it everyday at the same time and I ran out for days before I could finally get more. This isnt one isolated incident, it is now a struggle every time I need to refill scripts here. Ive been loyal to this pharmacy for 13 years but I just cant reasonably keep dealing with this. So unfortunately, I am leaving to take my business elsewhere. I decided to share my situation in hopes that the company fixes these issues so that no one else has to suffer without their medicine like I have. I cant imagine how many already have. read more

After a week (without my medication) attempting to get my blood pressure medication prescription filled at Walgreens pharmacy on William Street, I contacted my physician and requested they call my prescription into Smith's pharmacy. I walked into Smith's and was pleasantly greeted by Angela at the pharmacy counter. I requested the status of my prescription and she informed me it was being processed. I explained the situation and she immediately asked if I was completely out. When I told her I'd been out since Wednesday of the previous week, she immediately asked me to have a seat, went back to a gentleman and requested he fill my prescription. Within five minutes I had my prescription in hand and walked out with a smile on my face and a sincere appreciation for the excellent and caring customer service I experienced....thanks to Angela and Smith's Pharmacy. I can't say enough good things about them and wish I would have switched pharmacies prior to this incident. read more
