I've been to this store many times, and while there is nothing revolutionary about it, its always clean and has everything I need in terms of food and supplies. The staff have been friendly too. Now much else one could want from a grocery store. read more

Hi This is for the Kingman Smiths AZ. Finally you are putting the Armour summer sausage out in the store. They had it in the butchers cooler there and you had to ask for it and the workers were mean getting it for us. My mom and sister had a HORRID experience with Gloria in the bakery department, my sister went in to the 5 days in advance to order a birthday cake birthday, the initial interaction with Gloria was not impressive, she was rude, and unprofessional, very inconvenienced to be taking the order, my sister ordered a 1/2 sheet cake, she requested purple frosting for the writing and noticed Gloria wrote blue on the order, Gloria informed my sister she was aware and the writing would be purple, why it is a hassle to write the correct color, who knows, just to complicated. When my sister arrived to pick the cake up today, it was the size of a quarter cake, Gloria felt it was professional, to yell at my sister and be disrespectful, argue this cake was 1/2 a sheet cake. and demanded my sister to shut up. My family orders 1/2 sheet of cake for birthdays and are very familiar with the size should be, and the writing was blue. The manager Kelly the "bakery manager" stood by and let Gloria be disrespectful and argue with my mom and sister. My sister was over charged for a quarter cake, that was supposed to be a 1/2 sheet, and the manager had no interest in making it right. If the manager can not control her employees, this is not the position for her, as she lacks the skills to handle her employees and de-escalate issues, or attempt to find solutions to the problem. NOT WORTH $41.99!!!! The frosting on the edge rolled off the cake, it was poorly decorated. The level of Gloria's ignorance is nothing to be proud of. She lacks customer service skills, and basic bakery skills, when she can not decipher the difference between the size of quarter, or 1/2 sheet cake that's a problem, frosting was damaged she should have fixed it. I am a long time Customer of Smith's in Reno and Carson City Nv and moved to Kingman, Az and this store almost never has what I want and most the time the sections are empty probably due to no stock people. Then you get to check out and there is never enough checkers. I used to love Smiths and now I just mumble under my breath. I can't wait for Costco to come to Kingman. What has happened to great community grocery stores. Safeway is looking better and better. read more
