Wanted to get something that was specific to the area so I got a huckleberry scoop and a passion guava smoothie. They were both really good sized and delicious! First: this ice cream is amazing and the line workers serving it are as nice and efficient as can be. Why 2 Stars you ask? The owner / manager on duty is terrible at caring for customers. An older lady wearing glasses and a big cross necklace. My sons ice cream was literally flowing down the side of the bowl when they handed it to us, so I asked them to put the smaller bowl into a larger one so we could carry it. She came from across the counter to make sure we were charged $.25 for the extra bowl. Then, our friends little girl was handed her ice cream which immediately fell off the cone because it wasn't pressed down into the cone. The manager literally watched a 5 year old girl's ice cream fall off the the cone, turned her mom and said "I'll have to charge you for another one". Moo's is definitely worth stopping at if you're walking around downtown Jackson. There is always a line and yes it is worth the wait. The staff moves very quickly and efficiently. The ice cream is rich, creamy, and they have a great variety of flavors. I like that they use natural ingredients and no food dye. The huckleberry was my favorite. Portions are generous, and it's the perfect way to end the day after dinner. The flavors are listed on TV screens around the shop which helps you prepare in advance otherwise the samples are great to make final decisions. Best tasting ice cream that I have had in a very long time. There is very limited seating inside so take a seat on the curb outside, or walk a littlw with your ice cream. It is hands down the best ice cream in Jackson, and probably the best ice cream we've had anywhere. The homemade gingerbread cookies in the gingerbread ice cream are phenomenal.
