RETURNED...then on my order today, double charged on another item..Seems I spend a lot of time returning and getting refunds for stuff like this...I have been overcharged on many occasions..USE SELF CHECKOUT...then you have control...If not, always check receipt before leaving the parking lot...I am tired of this... Ordered two cakes, several days ahead, for Mothers Day. THIRTY MINUTES before the scheduled pick up time they sent me a text saying they had cancelled the order! No explanation! I have to point out something of the obvious to everyone here first. You are in Jackson, WY, everything here is more expensive than everywhere else in the country. This includes groceries and yes Whole Foods is expensive everywhere and even more so here, just accept it. With that said, the selection here is really good, I will give them props on selling local products throughout the store, and tons and tons of vegan options. The produce is hot or miss, sometimes it is fresh and others it goes bad in days of getting home. I would imagine this is to the lengths that go to get it here. Hopefully some day there will be some greenhouses in town selling local produce that is fresher and has less of a carbon footprint. The deduction in points is mainly due to the staff. They are hit or miss, sometimes polite and sometimes really rude. I've had a wonderful experience with a cashier and then a few weeks later a horrible experience with a different one where he literally threw my items at me as I tried to keep up bagging my own groceries and when he finished ringing them up just stared at me while I struggled to bag them all as fast as I could. I've had great interactions with some of the stocking staff and the. Others where they were nearly pushing me out of the way so they could put up stock instead of waiting for me to get out of the way or even said excuse me. I purchased half gallon of milk from Albertsons last week and it had an expiration date over a week away. Got it home, opened it. It was curdled and disgusting......so today I decided to go to Whole Foods to get milk from a different store and the same size milk (nothing special) was three times as much in cost. Maybe their milk is pure and fresh and stocked unto the shelves by some personal hygiene specialist. I am not sure. I chose not to purchase their milk. I felt they were taking advantage of me........So I decided to get two slices of pizza at $4.00 per slice. I glanced over to the soup bar and there were three young adults, Mayne seventeen, maybe twenty...not sure. The two young ladies poured an entire ladle of soup into the bigger sized cups and started drinking it. They drank again. And then again. They chose different soups. Then they filled their containers. I explained to the pizza dude what they were doing and he was shocked. I didn't think anything would come out of it. The three people walked away from the bar with their soup. Three minutes later, this manager came out from behind the pizza room and approached me. He asked me what happened and I told him. He asked me what soups they were doing that from. I knew it was two of three, I wasn't positive.He asked where they were. I looked around and didn't see them and I told him I didn't know you would come out here to interrogate me. He then saw three with soup in their hands and went over to them. After speaking with them for about a minute or so, he comes back to me and says everything is fine. He said if the ladle did not touch the container they were drinking the soup from, then that's okay. Everyone is allowed to sample soups at Whole Foods he said. I was disturbed by his response, looked at him, said, "Whatever" and walked away. So a few things to mention here....anyone in this valley, resident or not...head to (W)hole Foods, fill up you container with a full ladle of soup and drink it for free. And then test all the soups. And if u happen not to enjoy any of them...walk away. BECAUSE testing soups is allowed there now that I am informed. Two...are u offing kidding me. You are allowing people to drink soup out of a container and then fill it again with the ladle. That is UNSANITARY. These people could have covid or whatever. You are so wrong. Yet... now that I know how unsanitary and ignorant Whole Foods and their managers are, I will not only be not buying my milk there, I will be avoiding this joint like the plague. I'm not sure why the stars are so low for this Whole Foods. It's clean, has a fair selection of food, employees are helpful, and it has a pretty big parking lot. It's a standard Whole Foods to me but maybe a little smaller. I was pleased with their wine selection. Pricy but like that's Whole Foods, whaddya expect? And also, I compared a couple things to Albertsons, and they were either same price (large box of spinach/lettuce, avocados) or cheaper (tofu). Chocolate was about the same. Store is expensive as fuck. Customer service is lackluster, I asked an employee if they had an Amazon locker and she literally told me to go to the customer service desk. Like, really? I asked 1 simple yes or no question. Kombucha is the highest priced in the area it seems. Parking is a total cluster, make sure you're parked in the back. Fairly small Whole Foods, nothing was wrong with it, it's just okay. The staff were all helpful, bathrooms were clean. That's not why I go to stores though. I came here to get steaks while on vacation because in my experience WFM has better tasting steaks than other stores. I bought a bunch of other groceries for my trip too. But after going to the nearby Safeway, I wished I had just gone there from the beginning. They had a much larger selection of local cut steaks, including aged ones, with better marbling. Just keeps getting worse and the selection has been drastically reduced to a bland blend of WF brands, which aren't very good . . . they don't even have a deli, or pizza station, and the prepared foods have very little flavor for the price. I find myself walking out empty-handed more often these days. My advice is to skip it, shop at Smiths, and find local eats for breakfast and lunch. read more

This store was amazing when it was Jackson whole grocers, now it's loaded with only Whole Foods market brand products loaded with seed oils and other junk. Went to buy groceries and wine for dinner. Both myself and my partner had valid IDs showing that we were 22, but they were vertical from another state since they do not expire for another couple years. When we tried to buy a bottle of wine, they refused to sell it to us. The manager had the gall to tell us it was a Wyoming law that nobody with a vertical ID can buy alcohol. I pointed out that it is not, as we live here, and he still refused despite them being valid, stating they would get in trouble with the police, again a load of garbage. Would have walked out if we had not had a full cart of groceries. Went to another liquor store for the wine and they were equally as appalled at the reaction as I was, and said that has never been a rule. Will not be returning. read more

Young man in meat department does not remove/change his gloves and touches raw fish and meat, the weight scale, the counter and everything else possible. He wrapped up 10 hamburger patties in paper, weighed and printed the ticket, put them in a plastic bag then put the price sticker on it and then tried to hand it to me with the same gloves! When I asked him to remove his dirty gloves and put my meat in a clean plastic bag he gave me the "I hope you drop dead look" and then changed his gloves. However, he then proceeded to still touch everything again then put them in a new plastic bag. He looked like he hated his job and he hated me for at least trying to help him do his job properly. He should not be in the meat department nor should anyone else who can't follow basic sanitation guidelines. This is a basic requirement. read more

I've never felt so much prejudge and discrimination and rudeness at a market, especially in Jackson, Wy. I sent the below letter to whole food management corporate office, response was non-caring. I was in your store today in Jackson, WY, Nov 27th.  2021, at approximately 3:30pm .  I've never been treated so poorly and with such blatant dislike and what we truly felt was, extreme prejudice..  it's eight hours later and I can not shake that episode. My family of five adults, selected groceries, got in line on lane 2, emptied our cart of 25+ items on to the conveyer belt, while standing there, cashier was helping another customer by checking her items out.  I politely asked the cashier Kim, what I needed to show my Amazon membership, she rudely and much conviction snapped back she was helping another customer and would not to talk to us, just like that! My intent of asking, was to for me be prepared to show my Amazon, Whole Foods Code, to help ease an already long line.   We five were floored, our mouths were agape.  I wanted to leave, however we had selected groceries that were needed for our evening meal,my family  felt getting the groceries were more important then dealing with a clearly rude and again I'll state this as our interpretation, prejudge cashier,  removing our 25 plus items to switch to another line.  Before we start the  check out process, the cashier once again barks orders for us to step back.  We were at the conveyor belt , had not gone past that area, if her concerns were in regards to Covid safety, possibly she  would had noticed the three carts behind us, were less than 1 foot away from us.  However she wanted us, to step back, when we clearly had over 6 ft from customer in front us.  Though I wondered why did she have to address this with us, with clear rudeness and dislike and why not those customers and carts behind us?  To note, we five  are very Covid aware and practice all the protocols, for we have a high at risk child. When it was time for Kim to process our order, I asked her, what I've done to upset her, she blamed all her unprofessional and clearing prejudge interactions on her prior customer, took no responsibility and continued to snap at us. I've never been treated so poorly with interactions of any grocery store employee. I would like a call or an email, from management and or corporate office, to help me understand as to why Kim, was extremely rude and does Whole Foods know history of Kim the cashier . The five of us are not dealing well with such blatant rudeness and from we felt was prejudge, my 37 year old daughter , after we left the store, was in tears as was I.  My husband paced for hours in our home, by the way she addressed him. We are of mid eastern decent. My husband and are in our 60's and my three adult children are in their 30's. Whole Foods generic response, pathetic... Please accept my sincere apology for the difficulties you encountered at Jackson Wyoming. Overall the prices are lower since WFM purchased the store from Whole Grocer, with some exceptions. I like the amazon prime sale prices when they are available. However, the inventory is not as good. Feels like WFM is pushing their private brands over brands Whole Grocer carried. The common explanation from WFM is that other brands don't meet WFM's standards. My interpretation: the other brands don't meet WFM's profit standards. The WFM potato chips for example have too much oil in them. The simply lays sea salt chips don't. I liked the small town feel that was in Whole Grocer. WFM feels corporate-like with lots of sales people suggesting expensive alternatives to what I used to be able to buy at Whole Grocer. I'll keep shopping there because IMO there are no better alternatives. If there were, I'd stop shopping there. The Sushi is now very expensive. It is made by the same people who made it when Whole Grocer owned the store. Spicy tuna used to be $6.99, now it's $10.39. The only difference is the plastic packaging and labeling is different. The new Whole Foods has completely destroyed the hot food offerings by using clearly cheaper ingredients, especially in the burritos. Also the store lacks options and essentially forces you to buy 365. Whole Foods just like it's parent company Amazon reeks of a monopoly and the quality has clearly declined.
