The pine cone definitely makes a great romantic getaway as it is just the right size for two. To add to the experience there is an outdoor shower and chiminea on the porch as well. The cabin was a wonderful end to our vacation, next time we will have to stay for longer so we can check out the fishing hole and hiking trails. Gabe and Dawn (owners) are very friendly and were able to accommodate our late arrival. They also offer two large cabins for larger groups.

The interior has a small kitchen with oven and fridge, bed, tiny bathroom, booth, all crammed into a wood and pink lenolium interior. The owners have outfitted it with 1950;s themed movies and cooking tools. My boyfriend who is 6'4'' had some trouble fitting in the bathroom, but besides that we had an amazing stay here and even cooked a full thanksgiving dinner for 2!

Although The Baker looks like a bed and breakfast, they call it a hotel... a self-service hotel…read moreperhaps. Hubby and I arrived and found street parking next to building. Despite using the code that was emailed to us, we could not open the front door. I called the contact number and was sent an alternate code that worked. We stayed on in the Turret Suite on the third floor. Our emailed code worked to open the room lock. The room was clean and spacious. The pro of the room is the drinks and snacks provided, but unfortunately, there was a lot more misses: - The Turret bathroom looked like it fit into the period style with a claw foot tub, but it was not easy to use. The flimsy pipes made for turning on the tub difficult. Soap and shampoo was on a table two feet away from the tub. The raised claw foot tub made for a dangerous slippery situation to reach for soap and to get in and out of the tub even with a grab bar. - The toilet comes with old plumbing. Make sure to flush twice, if not three times, as it lacks flushing water pressure. - There are no side tables next to the bed, so phones and other personal items lands on the windowsill away from the bed. - Two huge lamps hung over the bed that we had to move to avoid head bumps. - The windows faced the street, but the slatted window blinds made for a bright room to sleep. The house was clean and we were able to use the common sitting areas downstairs. It would have been nice, especially for the price point, to have a pot of fresh coffee available in the huge kitchen downstairs or even fresh cookies or other baked treats. Heck, for the price, breakfast should have been served since they have a huge unused dining room.

They have provided you with a lot of cute amenities like local beers, little snacks, k cups, and makeup remover wipes. Very well maintained and decorated. We stayed in the room with the detached bathroom which was smaller but still had everything we needed.

10 out of 10! This place is so cute!…read more The rooms are very small, maybe 10x10, but everything inside is new and updated! Keyless entry. Air conditioning works great, there's a ceiling fan, and TVs come with a fire stick. Mini fridge, microwave and coffee. The bathrooms are also updated. The mirrors have the de-fogging feature. Bathtub and toilet were very clean. 100% would come back

The paint on the walls was unfinished, like spots were covered up and the paint does not match. There were small black ants in the kitchen and bathroom. The bathroom door did not close all the way, so the expectation of privacy is gone. Everyone could hear you use the restroom. The shampoo looked old in the containers, so we bought our own. There was hair in the bathtub. The room smelled musty, like a really old house. The mini split did not cool the upfront room with the day bed. We booked a room for 4 and there was only one day bed for two people in the eating area. Luckily we got a king sized bed and my daughter could share with me and my husband. Our son got the day bed. Pool? What pool? There isn't one, so don't expect to find one if you go looking for it. I don't even see where a pool could have been. They have a dog turn out relief area and have tools to pick up after your pet. Check for dog crap before you let your dog out. They have a rake a dog scoop for you to use and still people didn't use it. Not sure how often they check that area because it needed mowed. It definitely is a quiet location. So if you are looking for a mediocre stay that's quiet, it will suffice.
