My daughter's walked in behind me then this women looked at them, rolled her eyes and turned away. The store owner was a complete jerk and accused her of already picking up the shoe. She then insisted that she had not. The store gave her shoes away and said they had been there for too long. The store has her phone number and never did place a call to her as a reminder. They just gave away her shoes that are worth almost $400 bucks. A call to remind the customer is a reasonable expectation. They never made a call, gave away her shoes and now they lost a customer. I wonder if the store owner sold them and that is his side hustle. They are a favorite place to stop on First Fridays, when I can hardly get in the door! And the stream of new and fun fashions and accessories is non-stop. Service is friendly and personal, too. Still one of my favorite stops. This is like shopping in a dear friend's great closet. Although the store is tiny, the variety always surprises me, and the service can't be beat. I find interesting items I find nowhere else, and while their prices are consistent with other stores, their sale items make them more affordable. There is even a comfortable place to sit! I have purchased tops, purses, outerwear, scarves, jewelry, and other items. Easy to miss since it is north of Casa Bonita and before the train tracks, up a couple of stairs. But with such a uniquely-vintage location and terrific items and service, it is worth the extra steps. Easy parking right in front, or in the copious parking lots around the corner on Lake Street. No I do not work for them - I am just a huge fan and want to be sure they stay in town!

I have shopped at Talbots for 40 years. The Lincolnshire store does not carry a good variety of…read morepetites. Many of the clothes in the misses section are not available in the petite section. I end up ordering online and usually two sizes of each item. I then need to return what doesn't work. On at least three separate occasions, the sales associate has not been happy doing my return. Last week, I went in to do a return. The sales associate was cold. I then looked around and said "goodbye " to her and she barely acknowledged me. Very disappointed.
