Heavyset woman, presumably some kind of manager is always screaming at employees, especially in the bakery, deli and front end. It makes for a horrifically awkward shopping experience. Her unending racket of unprofessional put-downs slung against hard working employees echoing throughout the store each time I try to shop has drove me to the Maceys up the street no matter what deals are offered by Kroger. Its a shame, the bakery people and cashiers she seems to target are always very friendly and helpful to me as a customer. I dont understand why this woman acts in such a childish manner especially in front of clientele. I can only wonder what human rights abuses take place behind closed doors, and I certainly will not be coming back until I no longer have to worry about my shopping experience being interrupted by the shrill, inhumane yowls of the unprofessional management. I'm from Los Angeles and I marvel at SMITH'S. They have everything and the people are almost too nice....like...are they planning to steal my organs later? Who is nice like this all the time? Not people in LA. Anyway, they have a great CHEESE selection, and that's important to me. Wait...have a reviewed SMITH'S before? I think I have. If I did, yes, it's still a great market. It is what a Wal-Mart Super Store wishes it was. I don't know if this is an LDS thing or what but the baking section is BONKERS, like, entire shelves filled with sugar and flour and salt, it's as if the entire city is hosting a bake sale....the way this place prepares for holiday bakers is off the charts. The clothing area was very organized. Win was so friendly and helpful. Both the cashier and bagger were too. I noticed a pharmacist asked several customers 15 minutes after they closed if they needed help. Never seen that before anywhere. They closed their south doors after 9:00 even though they are open until 11:00 p.m. Their cut fruit wasn't very good. Huge parking lot but it's tricky turning left going south. They have great sales if you have a customer reward number. Same with gas discounts. read more

I see this kind of scam more and more with smith. I have a membership card, but still when I take discount products on the cashier the prices is double higher. It took couple boxes of the blueberries and left it on the cashier as they not $3.88 but $6.49 it's so said that they hope customer will not check there receipts. They wasting our time. This location is a marketplace, so big! Not only do they have all the apparel, home goods, and other department store-esque products, the grocery store itself is larger AND they have a surprisingly decent nursery during the spring and summer. On my visit in early May, it was overflowing, and carts of pretty annual flowers had completely overtaken the additional parking on the side of the store. The specific aspects that I like about this location are the Murray's cheese selection that, while not gigantic, offers different varieties than my neighborhood Smith's, and they are pretty well curated, high quality goodies. They even had a few on clearance! I always check out candy bars in grocery stores, and this one carries two of my favorites: Vosges and Tcho. The produce and bulk sections are nice and large, too! Lastly, there is a Starbucks in store if that's your jam. Customer service is a little less genuinely friendly than my regular Smith's, but I think there's a tendency for that with these bigger stores that just see so much more business. Also mild complaint, but it drives me crazy: It's great that they are located right off 2-15, but if you need to get back on the highway you have to make a U-turn, and good luck if it's during rush hour. Overall, this is a conveniently located grocery store with a lot to offer. Smith's tends to have some of the best prices in the area (download their app for coupons!), pair that with all the extra stuff at this location, and this is a happy choice. read more

After living here longer and dealing with the pandemic in stores, it is absolutely inexcusable to still see several Smith's employees, other food distribution company employees placing products on shelves here, and of course, shoppers, still refusing to wear a mask over their nose. They dont know how to work the conputer, the script at the other pharmacy isnt in the system because the smiths in cedar city messed up.. takes another 70minutes to fill one med filled then they had problems with the insurance.. never had problems with that before. Since the store recently remodeled, this Smith's is gigantic! Nice wide aisles so you're not crowded when you're shopping, very clean, and really nice and helpful staff. It has everything most Marketplaces have, but also a generous section of health/natural foods and products, free, safe and fun childcare for kids for an hour (who does this?! It's amazing!!), really nice produce, a fancy cheese counter, salad bar, OLIVE BAR (again, this Smith's is really elevating itself), and a fresh sushi counter that, as sure as my life depends on it, HAS THE BEST SUSHI WE'VE EATEN EAST OF THE SIERRA NEVADAS. I had to put that in all caps because after moving here from L.A., we have tried so many sushi restaurants in the area and been either food-poisoned or disappointed. Their sushi is hands-down the best we've had so far. They always have good manager's specials markdowns in the mid-morning - flowers, all kinds of foods, produce. Keep your eyes peeled. Also nice for the random things you need to get but don't have time to stop at another store for (i.e. plant fertilizer, camping supplies, an outfit for a baby shower). They have practically everything. We did a cross-country road trip last summer and visited so many different grocery stores and I found myself just longing to come back to my Millcreek Smith's, probably the best grocery store ever. read more

I love this Smiths! I have recently become a lover of Click List. It has changed my world! You just order online, then pick your time to come get your food and you don't even need to get out of your car. The first three times you use it, the service is free. Then its only $5 after that! Well worth it as opposed to wrestling my kids to try to get my grocery shopping done. You can also load all the Smiths digital coupons which is great since I feel like I don't have time to clip coupons. That being said this particular Smiths does have childcare available during the week. So just drop your kids off for an hour, stroll on over to the Starbucks, get your pick-me-up caramel latte and then get your shopping done in peace. The produce is really good at this location and has a broad selection. Like it or not my kids are going to have to eat spinach and brussel sprouts, so they better be fresh. They also have a really great selection of cheese. We like to eat obscure cheeses like Asiago or different types of goat cheese. The staff is great especially, Anna! They try so hard to help and to do their jobs well. I don't think I have ever had any of their employees not be super friendly. read more

Don't purchase gas at the pump at the Canyon Rim location. Smith's put a $150.00 hold on my credit card for $10 worth of gas. The store told me they don't handle gas issues and to call customer service. I was on hold for an hour and a half and when I finally got through she told me my money would go back onto my card the following Monday (2 days later). It is now Monday and my $150 has still not been put back on my card. $150 hold? Are you kidding me? Smith's customer service is horrible, the lady at the store was rude and hung up on me, I had to call back 3 times. I will never step foot in Smith's again or purchase gas here. A one stop shop for everything (and it's not Wally World!). This Smiths is great. Of course you've got the things you've grown to expect at a grocery store....like groceries. But it's so much more than that. Full clothing departments, toy departments, a Starbucks, house wears and so much else. The bulk food section is great and I can always find all those embarrassing specialty items like green chili soy cheese and sugar free, additive free joy free chewing gum. And whenever I ask for help the employees stop everything they are doing and walk me to the item I'm looking for. They always seem genuinely willing to do it. Terrible service at Smith's today by Smith's management. My bag of groceries ripped, causing a big bottle of olive oil to smash into pieces on the ground. Everything in the bag ended up covered in glass and oil. Smith's offered nothing in the way of help to clean up the mess other than a poor young employee with a roll of paper towels (she tried her very best, but her options were limited). I cut my fingers trying to pick up oily glass with my bare hands. A broom and a dust pan would have been helpful, as well as some professional cleaning supplies. They are a store and should have such things available. But they literally refused to help. read more

This is one of my favorite grocery stores. It's my first choice in grocery shopping in our area because the prices are a bit lower than the alternative and there's always a good sale. There's a small natural foods section, but they almost always have what I'm looking for. If you're ever searching for Sunbutter or soy butter, it's not in the PB&J aisle, it's over in the natural foods area. Took me several visits to figure that one out. This location has great produce, though it's a little on the expensive side most of the time. I love that it's one-stop shopping with home goods and other items. Parking is plentiful but a little wonky. The road leading into the store has a center curb so you can only turn left to leave that way if you take the exit further down. This store is always clean. It has a kids play area but I haven't ever used it. It looks great for folks with littler kids who want a stress-free shopping experience. read more

Clarice was my cashier and she had an attitude with me the moment that I set down my groceries on the conveyer belt. Her and the cashier next to her were both texting on their phones & in some personal conversation. I was treated with an attitude of, "How dare you interrupt us!" Uhmm...ok? The bagger was amazing. I didn't catch his name, but he was wonderful and added an extra bag on some glasses. Clarice was just outright rude & rolling her eyes at me & I was nice to her. I frequent this store because it's close to my home, but honestly may not go back. There's no reason to be rude to customers for coming in your checkstand. Overall, bad customer service. Since it's mostly entitled snobs leaving one star, like for the few months they didn't take VISA credit cards (debit was fine) due to large fees. I suppose everyone could pay more so this person wouldn't complain, but that's dumb. This store has everything I need. Produce is great, meat is good, clothing, home decor selections. I used to go to multiple stores to get everything I need, but now it's own stop. I appreciate that because I have medical conditions that make getting to the store difficult as it is. It only sucks when runners in too short shorts knock me over for going too slow as if I don't exist. A fine store, about the same in product and selection as the one on 5th and 5th, but the feeling of "fanciness" abounds here. Why? Wide open spaces, gleaming, polished floors, rustic signage, somewhat less harried looking staff. They have a kids care here as well. They have to be potty trained, and can stay for up to 60 minutes. I'm having to shop at less stores because they're beginning to carry a lot of the items I buy on a weekly basis. Organic labels, inexpensive produce, fresh flowers... These really are a few of my favorite things! I've come here multiple times, but today I literally found everything I one foul swoop. This is one of the few Smith's marketplaces in the valley. They have a great garden section, but over all I'm not a huge fan of the lay out. I feel like this one is laid out more difficult than others, which makes it harder to find what you need. They have a good selection of items, but you'll be her a while finding everything. Unless this is the only store you shop at. They have a Starbucks, they I typically stop at. This give me the boost to navigate the isles. The staff is ok. There has be a few times where I feel they look the other way when I'm trying to ask for help. read more

Very poor customer service. Only one cashier. Line delayed due to difficulty with one customer's order. Self check-out appeared to be the only viable option, but with a large order, imperfect sensing devises, it took at least three times as long to check out. No assistance offered while machine was consistently incorrectly telling me to re-bag, un-bag, move an item to the bagging area when it was already there. Peaches not in the system. Finally got help from a man who ignored me when I said I couldn't physically lift my groceries. He actually just walked away. I made a formal request for assistance because I had some awkward items and he again walked away. It was clear that he had not been trained communicating with customers. read more

I used click list for the first time today, and I am a convert. It was the most beautiful thing that has ever happened to grocery stores. I shopped online while my toddler played with his toys, and simply parked my car and waited for them to drop my groceries off. The worker was great. He talked me through everything they picked out. If they didn't have a certain brand of something they would replace it with a more expensive brand and charge the same. He actually said they ran out of regular strawberries so they replaced them with organic strawberries, and since the quality wasn't as good they gave them to me for free. I should take a picture of the strawberries he gave me. They are perfect. One of my worries was that they wouldn't pick out good produce. I think they do a better job than me. read more

Was mistreated and yelled at by a staff member for making an unplanned visit 30 minutes before closing giving my last face mask to my 8 year old. I understand safety and admit I was in the wrong, but the visit was necessary and unplanned. Did my best to avoid anyone around me and was quick to find my item and go to self checkout for payment. This little male employee then proceeded to not only yell at me for not having a mask once but repeat it after I was apologetic and explained the unplanned visit. Do you ever find yourself walking into a building and immediately feel like you're home? That's the feeling I get each time I walk into this Smith's. Mainly because I spent the bulk of my teenager years, raiding every last crevice of this store. Let us begin with the fact that despite being a relatively inexpensive store, in a moderately populous area, this Smiths is never obscenely crowded. They have just about anything and everything you could ask for. Racks upon racks of cheap clothing and shoes, cosmetics, electronics section, a huge selection of food, a respectably fresh produce and naturals section, a nursery, and just about every basic home and bath good you could ever need. Yes, it's quite dated. But I'm happy about that for two reasons. Number one, it reminds me of my childhood days of the 1990's. Number two, it's lack of renovation has kept a good chunk of shoppers away. It seems most people are looking for a more progressive experience. But for me should this place be remodeled, I'll be devastated. It completely blows the 4th south location out of the water, because not only do you avoid some dodgy individuals that roam that block, but you also don't have to fuss with taking the elevator up and down. Not to mention, the customer service here is great. People are hospitable, but for the most part laid back and don't rely on being overly kind. They're just here to get you in and out, and for someone like me who hates the grocery store experience, this is a great thing. My review may be biased. And Smiths isn't by any means the freshest, top quality grocery store, but to me it is the place where I feel just about anything is accessible. read more
