Love me some WinCo Foods. I was just in to take a peek. I shopped at the one in Henderson Nevada and if you shopped there you know whats up. If you're not familiar with WinCo well let me tell you it's big like WM but prices like WM used to have with way more options for food, a section dedicated to the foods for special diets, keto, non gmo, organic etc... then there's to meat department and offers delicious cooked items like fried chicken, strips, thick jojo potatoes, roast chicken, etc... the team was very sweet and helpful. The bakery is huge offering a large variety of baked items and popcorn/snacks. I have nothing but positive experiences so a 5 it is... Support your local employee owned businesses! read more

Cashiers need more training and or experience.. i stood in line for 20 minutes and watched the lady have to rescan everything twice... Jumped to andifferent line for another 20 minutes... Very bad experience 6 check stands open + self checkout shouldn't be long to check out... read more

I've been eagerly awaiting the opening of this new Winco while watching it being built for the past few months. I waited a few days while the crowds dissipated a bit, and went to check it out. The first thing I noticed was the shopping carts. Yeah, they're new, so of course they won't have wonky wheels or sticky handles. But they are plastic, not metal, which makes them lighter weight and easier to push (in my humble, non-grocery cart connoisseur opinion). As I was entering the store, I noticed that traffic is guided in a very specific direction. You have to follow the crowd down the first aisle. No biggie, except when the slow lady in front of everyone is taking up a lot of space, blocking the way for the people behind her. Once I got past her, I was able to roam freely up and down the aisles as I desired. They were good sized-in fact, rather long. When you commit to one, plan to be there awhile. The layout is ok. Although I was on the hunt for cheese and assumed that I'd find it in the "dairy" section, which was clearly labeled and I saw it from the other end of the store. But when I got over there, I learned that the cheese was a few aisles away. No biggie, I found it. Checkout was friendly-my cashier was nice, but confused when I handed her my reusable bags. She placed them on the conveyor belt and looked at me weird. Oops-you're supposed to bag your own groceries. I'm totally down for this, just didn't realize that's how it works. They don't take credit cards, only cash, check (what's a check) and debit cards. This alone might be the reason I won't convert from my current store to this one. Sure, the prices are good-but not being able to use my credit card is a bummer. Overall, if you're a bargain shopper-this is a great place for you. Especially since the other nearby grocery stores are pretty expensive. I'll probably pop back in here and there when there are sales that I can't pass up. read more

This new winco is AMAZING! I didn't know how excited I was about it until I got there. The parking lot has a little bit of a strange set up, but no worries. The inside is your classic winco with great deals and a decent selection. This was the most well stocked and cleanest winco I've ever been to. The employees were all on task and working hard. I really enjoyed the store layout, it just makes sense as you go through with your grocery list. One of our favorite things to get is the seasoned al pastor from the meat department. It is so flavorful and is delicious when grilled and we cut it into small pieces for tacos. It seemed they also have a food court with some drink options and some food as well. I have high hopes for this winco location and will definitely be back! read more

At first when I started shopping here things seemed to be out of place compared to many other grocery stores. Once you return once or twice you have a good idea where things are. It is clean, and much more inexpensive. The one thing I disliked but have come to love is packaging your own groceries at the checkout stand. How many times do you go to a store and they package one or two items per bag. We bring our own bags and pack things up nice and fast to save time, space, and help the environment just a little. Most all the workers seem happy to be there which just shows what kind of a place this is. The prices are so good but one of the lesser reasons we even show up and co to use coming. Store is difficult to navigate with everything constantly being stocked during business hours. It's not the greatest Winco store and other locations have tended to have more selection overall. Rarely more than 2 check stands open. I have to say though, I don't think I'll be returning to this location as one of the employees (Cameron) really sets off alarm bells. The way I observed this guy interacting with children in the store really gave me the creeps and I wouldn't be surprised if this dude ends up on some sort of watch list at the very least. He took a disturbingly strange amount of interest in interacting with children in the store another time was pretty borderline passive aggressive (like pissed off that he had to deal with adults, or heaven forbid, do his job) at other customers in the line. Hopefully people that take their children shopping here keep an eye on their kids and watch out for this guy. Yikes all around. read more

I love Winco so much. Best bulk food selection anywhere and lowest prices with biggest inventory. Their fresh deli fried chicken is second to none of any grocery store. Always staffed with friendly people and I actually enjoy bagging my own stuff. Plus I can grab a hot slice of surprisingly good pizza on my way out. I used to love winco and would drive from Lehi to shop but after yesterdays (5/4/2022) experience with the "ASSISTANT MANAGER" ANDY, I will not be returning. There was only 1 check stand open which had a few customers waiting in line. Andy decided to open another check stand and says "I can help whosever next" .. well of course.. what do you think other customers do? RUN over to that check stand without letting the NEXT PERSON THAT WAS ALREADY WAITING GO FIRST. Being an "ASSISTANT MANAGER", he should have taken the NEXT persons cart from the other check stand that was waiting the longest and helped them first. Not just yell "I can't help whosever next". Andy clearly knew who was supposed to be next but still decided to take TWO other customers that cut in line and even laughed about it with the first customer. When Andy began scanning my items, I decided to confront him about the situation. I was going to keep my mouth shut but since I saw he was the "ASSISTANT MANAGER" I decided to question it to him. All he could say was sorry & that the person that cut was laughing about it. WHICH I ALREADY KNEW AND THATS WHAT UPSET ME MORE!!! ANDY KNEW THIS BUT STILL DECIDED TO SCAN HIS ITEMS FIRST?!?!?! What kind of customer service skills is that??? I'm sure this was all on camera, so winco I suggest you look into this so you can give ANDY the proper training that he needs. I ran in there at 3 in the morning cuz we had a sore throat/cat litter/chocolate emergency. I wish I remembered the cashiers name. He WAS SPECTACULAR! I've always loved WinCo. I am writing a review here today because the staff members in Herriman location were so so nice! It's not easy shopping with kids, but they helped me out at the checkout when my kids got hurt and I was busy trying to comfort them. Before coming to this location, I loved Winco. This location is less than adequate. They have very few gluten free options and are constantly putting non gluten free items on the shelf and labeling it gluten free. I have talked to management before, but they evidently do not address the problem. I know many of you are probably thinking, who cares, right? I know, but until you are forced to be gluten free, or try to help others shop gluten free, you may not understand. It really is a big deal to have to go to 4 different grocery stores to get the items you need. My trip today was topped off by the checker who thought it was a game to roll the cans as fast as possible down the belt to be bagged so he didn't have to push the button to run the belt.
