Liz was my month of wedding coordinator, and she went above and beyond for my wedding. I assume month of coordination is harder than the full planning since it requires thorough communication with the bride to carry on the last pieces of the planning and the execution for the wedding day. She spent first two weeks to be fully onboard on the things I've worked on so far, and rest of the weeks for final pieces and executing the wedding. There were tons of details at my wedding which probably made things a bit complicated for her, but Liz would always calmly assure me that we can make it happen. She put me as the priority, helped me to focus on myself instead of worrying about thousand different things. What I also loved about her is that she would think of 19204910 scenarios of what could happen, and prepare for those situations. Her presence on my wedding day made it feel like I had a sister making sure things go right for me without my knowledge so I can just fully enjoy the wedding day. Who wouldn't want a wedding coordinator who is calm, positive-minded, detail-oriented, empathetic, honest and communicative - and can be the bad cop for me when it's needed so I don't have to be the bridezilla . I already recommended her to all my friends who are engaged in the Bay Area. She is THE perfect person to help your wedding coordination. I'd vouch for her in anyways I can.

Pandemic bride here! After 2 years of planning through uncertainty and postponements, we were having our wedding in October 2021. Our plan and guest count had downsized dramatically, so I wasn't convinced that we needed a wedding coordinator. 4 weeks out from the wedding, I began to feel stressed about the wedding details. I had a lot of DIY decor and wanted someone to understand and execute the vision I had in mind. I contacted Smittenkiss and after an amazing conversation with Nancy, decided to book Liz Kim as a month-of coordinator. After making that decision - the next 4 weeks went so smoothly and easily, and I knew that I made the right decision. Liz was so worth the investment and made the last 4 weeks so much easier for us. Working with Liz was easy, efficient, and super organized. She is kind, understanding, and overall so wonderful! She helped us create a jam-packed timeline, packing in all of the special moments we wanted - and ones that we didn't even realize we needed. She mapped out bridal party and vendor arrival times, departure times, meals, and most importantly, made use of every minute that we (B&G) had. On the day of the wedding, it made a huge difference knowing that Liz was around, taking care of the details and tracking the timeline. ALSO... Liz saved the day when I realized that I was missing my veil, 5 seconds before I was supposed to start walking down the aisle (music changed for me and everything). She tightened her grip on her clipboard and RAN to the bridal suite to get it, put it on me, and send me down the aisle without missing a beat! With Liz by my side, I could just focus on our special day and having fun! I highly recommend booking Smittenkiss and ask for Liz while you're at it. The only regret I have is not booking her sooner! =)

Hiring SmittenKiss was an excellent decision by my now wife! Our coordinator, Liz, worked with us a few months leading up to the wedding. She was thoughtful and detail oriented and gave my wife and I the mental space to not only pull off the wedding, but to enjoy it. Whether it was recommending vendors and suppliers they've established a relationship with, or giving us helpful tips, they did it in the most considerate way possible. Thanks again Liz!

As a caterer, we work with a lot of coordinators. Some great and some not so great. We had a wedding on April 1st of this year and had the pleasure of working with Liz Kim. From first contact through the end of the night, everything was seamless and smooth. Liz is a true professional. The communication was excellent and the day of was well organized. I truly hope we get to work with Liz again soon.

Cali from SmittenKiss is basically the Goddess of wedding planning. I don't know how Cali does it but she is so detailed with her planning and so fun to work with. She answered every question that my wife and I had and could always be easily reached on text. I felt like she became a friend with our wedding planning and treated it more than just a business. She put a lot of love into her work and it culminated in our beautiful wedding. She was always punctual and her rates are the best for the amount of work and hours she puts into planning your wedding. Did I mention she is fun to work with? Thanks again Cali for the wonderful memories!

I felt that Ann…read morewas not adequately detail oriented for the size and complexity of our event, although ultimately everything turned out great. Pluses: 1. Ann is friendly and professional. She made me feel special during the planning process. 2. We technically had not paid her for wedding planning- only for the day of coordination - but she was happy to meet with me at length before the wedding and also met with the florist and my sister who was involved in the planning. She made a special site visit and made helpful suggestions to my sister. 3. Ann appears to be very experienced. She thought of issues to consider during the wedding planning which I never would have thought of including considering how to position readers in the ceremony seating arrangement, where parents most likely should sit, etc. She similarly gave helpful suggestions for the order of the procession. She recommended making lists of people to pick up centerpieces, leftover cake, and other equipment from the wedding so that the day of went more smoothly. I felt that her suggestions helped us feel more relaxed on the day of the event because many things were "taken care of." 4. When my sister discovered at the last minute that the chairs that arrived were incorrect, Ann spent time with the vendors and helped correct the problem. Behind the scenes, she took care of everything and I didn't even know about it. Minuses: 1. During the pre-wedding preparation periods, I started to notice that she failed to read most of the emails I sent her or CC'ed her on to update her on changes in plans. 2. At the rehearsal I was shocked to find that she had a beautiful timeline and outline of all the details of the wedding which she didn't seem familiar with (I heard her daughter puts the packet together for her). She was inefficient in conducting the rehearsal due to lack of familiarity with the details. 3. The day of the wedding she was often not present or readily available, even when we called her cell phone. 4. She failed to make sure corsages and bouquets were available for the photos even though we followed her timeline so she should have known when to bring them. 5. I heard afterward that she snapped at a family member who came to kindly ask why the candles for the ceremony had been removed. 6. When the time of the bouquet toss came I realized that she had not made the toss bouquet available to me and she was unavailable at that time. I ended up using my real bouquet which luckily i was ok with parting with. Overall, I will say this- my wedding turned out beautifully. I didn't feel that this was really because of Ann, but I think that she may have done some behind the scenes work that helped. There weren't any major disasters, but I wondered if she would have been able to handle it if there had been. A simpler and smaller wedding may make for a different story. In addition, her strengths may be more in helping with the planning process than in the hectic day of coordination.

Hiring Courtney was easily the best decision we made in our wedding planning process. "Above and…read morebeyond" does not begin to cover Courtney's level of service, care, and thoughtfulness. Throughout the months we worked together, Courtney always made us feel like a priority, though she was no doubt juggling so much. On our wedding day, every detail we worked on was executed flawlessly, and we were truly able to breathe and be present because we knew Courtney had it all under control. We got many compliments from our guests on how smooth and relaxed the day felt, and that is a testament to Courtney's incredibly hard work. I would also note that Courtney was completely respectful of our budget and priorities. She puts in the time to learn what is important to you, and keeps that in mind as she offers excellent, candid advice. Courtney also went out of her way to save us money in ways we simply would not have thought of on our own. A final note to anyone on the fence about hiring a coordinator: Do it! (Specifically, Courtney!) I consider myself a fairly organized and detail-oriented person, so when I started planning, I wasn't sure that I needed a coordinator. But I now believe that the more organized you are, the more you appreciate and value a partner at (or, in Courtney's case, way above) your level. Weddings are truly their own category of event, and there is no substitute for a coordinator's guidance and experience--especially someone as amazing as Courtney!

I don't know where to begin. I am the mother of the bride. I had to deal with my wonderful…read moredaughter, my future son-in-law, and my ex-husband who were all against hiring a Wedding Planner. My daughter was dealing with a lot of stress because of her job at the FDA/politics. Also, the three did not like the extra cost of the Wedding Planner & viewing it as a needless expense. Her wedding plans was not her main priority even thought she wanted a 100 person wedding. One thing her and her fiancé agreed on is they wanted to invite pretty much everyone. That of course scared the living daylights out of me since I knew the couple was not rich. I think at one point I even threatened her that I was going to bring 100 McDonald's hamburgers for the reception if she didn't get on the planning. I asked a good friend who is a successful caterer in her own right (40yr +); who could she recommend. I might add that she has worked with many Wedding Planners through out her career. She instantly said without hesitation that Courtney really impressed her. My friend went on to explain about the wedding planning world. It is expensive and items can be recommended pushing the wedding easily out of budget. She liked that Courtney stayed within the wedding budgets. They did spend a little more but it was reasonable. All I knew was Sarah had to schedule/confirm many different moving parts in advance and she was not doing that. Another thing was to not go into debt or have a wedding beyond her means. I first called Courtney and immediately knew she was exactly what my daughter needed. Courtney and my daughter have the same temperament and easy to get along attitude. She gently gave the bride and groom a reality check about the cost of weddings. I called Courtney and immediately found her professional but with a very warm personality; much like my daughter. Also, I liked her enthusiasm about the project. I felt very comfortable confiding sensitive details regarding the wedding. This was a major plus. I set up a three-way call with Courtney, myself and my daughter, Sarah. I introduced them and ended my part of the call. My daughter immediately hired her. My daughter is pretty darn smart. I loved that I could stop pulling my hair out and gnashing my teeth. Courtney would take care of my daughter and I could just have normal stress free conversations again with Sarah. And the most important thing; Eric and Sarah could have the wedding of their dreams close to budget too! I usually talk to my daughter once a week just to chat. She would tell me that Courtney had assignments she and Eric had to accomplish monthly/weekly. Did I mention Courtney is brilliant! It was so amazing that Courtney orchestrated/worked with the venue, the menu and bar, music, fresh flowers and photography. Each one was performed beautifully. Courtney made it so easy because she did all the work. I think the only thing I was asked to do was to provide about 30 songs to the song list, attend the rehearsal dinner and wedding. Of course my wonderful daughter ask for a mother/daughter dance which include a snippet of MJ, Thriller & George Michael, Careless Whisper. Warning: be careful what you tell your 4 yr old; they might remember. Really that was it. I don't know how to describe this absolutely gorgeous & fun wedding. Everyone in the wedding party was stress-free, which is exactly what you wish for. I loved how Courtney would listen to input. We could trust her to tell us the truth on whether it was appropriate or not and we listened to her suggestions. One thing I insisted on was that the bride & groom give her a generous tip. It was obvious that Courtney worked very hard on this wedding and presented an absolute gorgeous event a little over budget. BTW, the tip is non-negotiable but the amount is. I insisted that the tips were good because the wedding was that great. My daughter later told me I was right to insist on a Wedding Planner. I'm still laughing. The bride and groom, the wedding party will remember a perfect & relaxing event. The chamborg bong was an event in it self and everyone should have a very well behaved coyote attending. It must be said that we adore Courtney. We can never thank her enough and we'll never forget her. Wishing her the very best~ ~No, this is not a paid advertisement.

I don't like leaving nasty reviews and didn't plan on it, but now I'm feeling absolutely cheated…read moreand I'd hate for someone else to spend thousands with this company. There were a few red flags from the beginning, but we were already kinda locked in with the deposit. I had asked for a floral quote and had a whole intro meeting with Victoria. It took months to respond and she was asking questions we had already answered months prior when we met her. Had to send my mood boards over AGAIN. Seemed unorganized, but we brushed it off because she was very sweet. The day off, my florals did NOT match the inspo at all. They charged 40 bucks per vase, which had one stem of cheap flowers (I'm talking calendula and some filler/foliage for example.) our bouquets were also WILTED the moment they were handed to us. Our tables also just overall looked tacky. I had offered to print all my signage on card stock and Victoria said she had it covered. She ended up printing our menus on regular paper, with no design whatsoever, after assuring us "they're so cute and I can't wait for you to see them!" but never sent them to me to preview lol I also made table number signage that she said she'd print on card stock. These were poorly printed and shrunk down and she didn't use our card holders. She said they didn't work....which of course they wouldn't if you used regular paper. I specifically noted they were meant to hold thick card signage. The food was amazing at our trial and tasted horrible the night of. We got candied brussels that were supposed to be sweet and crisped, and what they served was just steamed, hard, and flavorless. Some appetizers used different ingredients. We were told we had table side service and ppl would help pour wine, but no one helped guests, even when they asked. Our venue even had us confirm that Evntwrks would do table side pouring, and now Victoria is claiming they're not allowed to touch alcohol, despite telling me she had it covered. I was able to brush it all off the day of and had a great time, but the cherry on top for me was when I came to pick up my decor and Victoria claimed my guests took everything. I found that hard to believe, as I didn't even see all the decor I provided on the tables. They were bare. She insisted that they took all centerpieces, and when I asked her to pls check their warehouse again, she found multiple of my boxes. I also took inventory of all my things, and she is now claiming I shorted her on decor so they had to use their own. Once again, I've caught them gas lighting me, trying to act like they did me a favor, when she's in fact lying. I gave close to 50 vases prior to the wedding, and she's now saying I gave 31. After finding my boxes, I counted 28 vases. This doesn't even add up if she's claiming "all my guests took vases home" but now its only three vases taken if I supposedly only gave her 31? Doesn't add up. She also gave me boxes back that were empty. I was furious and asked her where the items went that they didn't even use (such as table card holders I provided). She ended up finding them, but it just goes to show how unorganized they are and the lack of care towards other's belongings. She also claimed my flowers were wilted because we took photos hours before the wedding, which is FALSE. I took photos with my husband only thirty minutes before guests started to arrive. No bridesmaids even had their flowers till right before they walked up. I planned on doing stuff with my floral after and sadly cannot. I was also sent a bill to buy them brand new table linens. She claimed guests lit candles after she had told them not to, and they spilled everywhere, damaging their linens. While waiting for guests to arrive I noticed the tips of my candles were black on some tables, and I had never lit them before. Maybe workers lit them prior and realized they shouldn't so they blew them out? I did admit to seeing some guests light them, maybe two tables, but they put them out immediately when Victoria asked. there was not enough time to even accumulate wax to drip. I also dont understand why they don't have funds or insurance to cover things like this? I'd also be more understanding if pictures were provided for proof. Most vendors have a deposit in case of damages. They did offer to waive the fee after I expressed how terrible everything I was. However, this doesn't even cover all the other services that weren't delivered. Upon reviewing our contract, I've also noticed they taxed service charges/gratuity. We ran out of alcohol midway through the cocktail hour which is before the reception. I had to DoorDash alcohol to the wedding to make sure we had enough alcohol for the reception. We also ran out of food so some of the wedding guests only ate salad and bread. The quality of food was good; however they did not plan right for food and beverage. If you use this vendor, make sure they order enough food and alcohol for your event because the planner did not plan right and communicate well to external vendors for the the wedding.
