We had a backyard reception with about 90 people and I planned every last detail myself, so I was really nervous about how it would all come together on the day-of. Our initial call was with Nichole, one of the original "2 friends," who shared useful info about their offerings, and, before we were required to put in a deposit, put us in touch with one of the coordinators who had experience at our venue - this was Melanie! She's very organized, and super responsive by email and text. Her eye for detail was clear during our venue walkthrough with the caterer, where she made sure to note possible locations for various tables and items needing power outlets. The video call we had a couple weeks before helped us tighten up the timeline and ensure we had every i dotted and t crossed. And after that call, Melanie basically became the contact person for all our vendors, so I just had to CC her on any emails we sent out after that point. She facilitated coordination with our vendors, decor setup, and cake delivery with minimal guidance. At the end of the night, she made sure everything was packed up nice and neat, and she and Jay helped us load out so we wouldn't have to return the following morning to pick things up. After a bit of an issue with our previous coordinator I had to scramble about 4 months before our wedding to find a new day-of/month-of coordinator for our wedding. PLANNING: We loved working with Nichole for our wedding because she was always so positive and upbeat, very responsive and available whenever we needed her, and she truly loved every part of the planning process. We had to reschedule our wedding twice because of COVID, and ended up completely changing course with only 7 weeks to pull together a wedding. We went from a 175-person wedding at a resort in Napa to 19 family members at my childhood home.
