The first time I ever needed an oil change my grandfather told me to take it to Smitty's and it's been my repair shop of choice for that ever since. They have the best prices I've found and some of the quickest service around. I've been going here for years and I still see the same familiar faces. They take pride in being able to get you in and out fast. I haven't had any serious work done here, but their oil and filter change is the best. Goes for about $22 or $23 now. I have been a long time loyal costumer of Smitty's for many reasons and after today was given another reason to stay loyal. I brought my sons jeep in to be repaired and after inspecting it and telling what it's needs he told me he does not wanna take my money because the jeep is not worth the repair....not that he could not fix it, just that it wasn't worth the fix. It was a savings of at least 2500.00 and he told me your to good a customer to take your money. Finally found a new mechanic I feel I can trust and executes great work! I called last minute and was able to get an appointment the next day. I only had $300 to spend and wasn't sure what was wrong with the car. They called me and let me know what needs to be done and how much before actually doing any work which relieved me so much. They gave me a time and I accepted, but then my job decided to be an ass and said I couldn't be 20 mins late. I was going to take an Uber and called Smittys back to let them know they could take their time but instead, they said they could have it ready in time for me to go to work!!! When I went in to pay they put a customer on hold and took care of me right away. I felt like a regular customer and it was only my first time there! Since I have a 2003 Mercury Sable I am sure I will be seeing a lot more of these guys and I'm so relieved that I found a place I feel confident with. read more

This is how you know your dealing with a reputable man and business!!!! I brought a vehicle to smitty's for my annual once a year dealer recommended oil change. To make a long story short I'll just say that something went awry at the repair shop and the oil change got botched. Art, the owner and head mechanic called me and told me about what had transpired. He than asked for the opportunity to correct the mistake that one of his employees had done. I agreed but after two full day with the vehicle and several test drives Art wasn't happy with the way the vehicle was preforming. After speaking with Art and trying to understand what if any damage was done to the vehicle, Art suggested that I take the vehicle back to the authorized dealer and have them go over the vehicle there. Art wanted to make sure there was no damage done to the vehicle. I agreed... now this is where Art really showed his true colors.. Art called for a tow truck to transport the vehicle back to the authorized dealer. I told Art that this was going to be difficult for us missing a car and trying to get to work. That's when Art said go rent a car on him... we were able to work out travel arrangements and no rental was needed. When I received the call to come pick the vehicle up the dealer stated that there was no damage done to the vehicle and that Art had done everything necessary to rectify the problem . When I asked what this was costing, the dealer said that everything had been paid for Smitty's Auto Repair. This was no small bill either my friends... But this is how you know your dealing with an honest and reputable man. Art is a gentlemen and honest and fair businessman. Not to mention a damn good mechanic. I will continue to use Smitty's Auto Repair for all my automotive needs. read more

I can't say enough good things about this place! I've taken my car here a few times for different type of repairs and they always do such a great job. They are very flexible and I usually just drop by with my car and they are able to take a look at it right away. The quotes are honest and reasonable and if the parts are in stock I typically have my car back in a few hours. Most other repair shops and dealers will give you a laundry list of other things that need to be "fixed" urgently leading to quite a costly bill. I have a Honda Civic from 2000. It has 113,000 miles on it. Every time I get an oil change at my usual place they tell me to keep up the regular maintenance because I should be able to get 200-300 thousand miles on it. The last time I got my oil changed I went to Smitty's instead of my usual place. I went a few hundred miles over before my next oil change like I usually do. Only this time my engine began to rattle. I took it to an auto repair shop. Expecting that it was in dire need of an oil change. Except they found out there was no oil at all and no leak. If my oil was topped off as it usually is at my regular shop how did my engine seize while being a month over due for my oil change when nothing else was wrong with the car? Do not go to Smitty's. There is no way that my engine would have been ruined if I hadn't gone there. I have heard bad things for years but I made a choice to save $10 and now I will have to spend $2500-3000 for a new engine. Don't make the same mistake I did. read more
