I'm extremely late on writing this review, but I called Smittys Carpet Cleaning service to have my carpet done before my wife and I moved out of our apartment. We have two small dogs, and sometimes accidents happen. The carpet cleaner you buy at a store like Target, Walmart, etc. can only do so much. You need a professional to get the job done. Had a great experience with Smitty's. Spencer (the owner) came out with one of his guys (they were both super nice) to clean two indoor couches, an outdoor Sunbrella couch, and outdoor Sunbrella chaise lounges. They were probably here for 3 hours, and were very thorough and easy to work with. We have a pesky little boy dog who sometimes likes to pee on our furniture, so Spencer kept an eye out for stains and treated them with an enzymatic formula. I really appreciated these touches: - On time, and easy to get in touch with - Treatment formula wasn't too strong or chemical-y (smelled like fresh laundry and baby powder!) - We had a minor issue with a few cushions, so Spencer picked them up the next day and had them back to us (and dry!) before our big party. I'm not really understanding all the five star reviews. I had a really bad experience. I called them to clean 3 rugs for us and they asked me for photos and sizes. I got all that info together and sent it then didn't hear back for three days. I called them and they took a while to find my info but then said they could do it. I was fine with the quote so we made an appointment for them to come and pick them up. They never showed up. I am a working Mom so it's a big deal for me to get three rugs ready and wait around for 2 hours and there was no call, no information, just no show. And I still haven't heard why or what happened. I spent the last week calling different companies in the area that could find availability to clean our condo without charging an arm and a leg. First, this company responds quickly and they are able to quote you on the spot and give you a time frame on when they can come. Spencer was very nice to work with. He was conversational and did his job. Unfortunately I had some tough pet stains that he did improve but was not able to remove completely. After having read other reviews on Yelp, there seem to be other companies that are able to remove pet stains completely but they all charge considerably more than Smitty's. So I guess in the end you get what you pay for :-/ Basically, Spencer did an adequate job with a jovial attitude so I appreciated it! In the future, I'd probably set aside more money to go with someone who could give me more guarantees, though. A second great review for Smitty's ! During my service one of the machines broke down. They wanted to comeback another day but it didn't work for me. They completed the job with their secondary machine and it looked good to me. A few months later some of the high traffic areas were showing spots again. This is hands down the best carpet cleaning service I have ever used. I live in an apartment with 2 dogs and a messy husband. My apartment maintenance did a carpet cleaning but they left my place smelling like a wet dog. My dogs have lived here since they were puppies so we have some pretty bad pet stains.
