I come here every time my smog certificate is required from the DMV. The prices have gone up over the years but they always take off $20 with their online coupon. I came by to ask about getting my car smogged and the guy tried to charge me for an SUV price and when I asked about taking a competitors coupon, he said, "We don't take anyone's coupon and your price would be $79.95 since it's an SUV." This business from the front desk to the shop personnel are all polite, and professional, and the cost is fairly priced. The lounge area is clean and comfortable, including a TV. They have tested my 2007 Chevy diesel and my 2008 Prius Hybrid multiple times. My car passed all emissions during the smog but he failed it based on the timing without consulting me. So many different things can advance timing including the type of gas used. I would never take my car here to get a smog...he only wants your $80. And during a pandemic no less. Price gouging at it's finest. read more

Pretty sure the smog tech knew THIS review was coming.... My first experience a few years ago was much smoother but I do remember the technician being rather bland and curt - not the friendliest cat at all. Needed another smog on the VW and got referred here from my car dealership down the street Yesterday I called and got a quote and told him I would be there by 4:30pm. I ended up getting there earlier at 4:15. Tech dude told me it would be 30 minutes until he would be ready so I sat and waited (ok, fine). I waited......and waited.....and watched him do 3 smogs on the same car ahead of me and tinker around for AN ENTIRE HOUR. The guy next to me said it was his car ahead of mine and that it wasnt passing. I then saw the customer finally pay and the tech then took my keys and pulled my car onto the machine when all of a sudden he walks back to the other car, lifts the hood and starts tinkering around AGAIN!!! WHAT THE HELL BUDDY? I decided to get up and walk over to personally see what was so interesting and as I stood there staring at the engine the tech then realized how unbelievably rude he had been and returned to my car for the smog WHICH ONLY TOOK HIM 5 MINUTES. After a long day at work, leaving early to ensure I am on time and fighting traffic too - this kind of crap is not appreciated. OVERALL: The technician is not friendly. The service is extremely slow. The price is decent IF you print a coupon. I wont be returning to this location when my car needs another smog in a few years - or for any reason. read more

This smog check station is at the bottom of the hill where I live, so although it is more expensive (even with the $20 coupon) than some in other parts of the county, it saves me a lot of running around and dealing with people I don't know. George (who has been doing this forever) is sort of a one- man-show, and as such, he doesn't suffer fools. I can understand why some people have commented that he seems to give off a bit of an attitude -- but I've always been appreciative of hardly ever having to wait too long, and it's always done right. If folks aren't familiar with the area and you're told there will be a wait, there is a Coronado Brewing Company tasting room very nearby! There is also a little Mexican food restaurant across the street if you want to grab a bite. Otherwise, George has a couple if chairs set up right there where he does the work, so bring your air buds, earphones or ear plugs if you are sensitive to noise. read more

49.99 - 20 coupon + 8.25 certificate = 38.20. Legit test only center. I've come here 3 times so far. The first time I failed, but paid the 38 dollars. I came back and passed the second time and didn't have to pay for the retest because I fixed my car within the 30 day free retest period. Then I came with my other car and passed with flying colors, again 38 using the coupon on their website. These guys are good and relatively fast (15-20 minutes per car). read more

This place is a SCAM, the price is advertised as $59 for a smog check but after I presented the $20 off coupon, I was charged $79 and then the guy used the coupon which basically made it so the coupon was pointless. Leaving me with a total charge of $59. When I tried confronting him about the incorrect charge, he told me it was because my car is a truck( which is a flat out lie). It would be hard to be more disappointed. First, I was charged a dollar more than quoted over the phone. (Yes, it's only a dollar but it shows a lack of integrity). But what really pissed me off was that the technician broke the key to my car. When he finished, he asked "how long has your key been bent?" This place charged my college student Son $60 for a smog test they knew would not pass. The Check Engine light was on and even before connecting anything up they knew it would not pass. I called them and asked why they would do that and they said the State makes them do that. The person on the phone was rude and hung up on me, I called him back and I asked why he hung up on me and he said because he thought I was calling him a thief. I did not originally call him that so he must have been feeling guilty. So now I am calling him a thief and a liar. Go somewhere else and if your check engine light is on get it repaired first because it will not pass and the SmogPros people will charge you another $60 to re-test it. Rip Offs. read more
