I called to make sure they were open and he asked what KIND of car I had not what YEAR. I show up and he says oh, no your car's a 1999? You're going to have to wait. He thinks it will be 20 minutes. After 35 minutes of sitting there, I ask, how much longer? Oh, he doesn't know he's waiting for glue to dry. He says he will call me when it's time to come back. He never called. Waste of time! If the YEAR is what matters, then ask what year it is before I show up. And maybe don't let someone sit there waiting for you--maybe you be the one to proactively inform the person of what's going on since you work there and all. Rude. read more

Wish there was a choice for zero stars! When I walked in, the attendant was asleep at the desk lying back in the chair. Looked like he was recovering from a hangover. Beware! I printed out the $10 coupon from their website. Out front is a big sign that says "$39.95 Smog plus certificate - All cars.". I gave the nice man the certificate and he printed out the invoice which showed a price of $55. When asked, he said the "regular" price was $65. I pointed to the $39.95 sign and he said you need a "different" coupon for that. When I told him there were no other coupons on their website AND that the sign in front said nothing about a coupon, he shrugged and said those were the owner's instructions. When I asked him for my car keys, he magically agreed to the $39.95 price, but would not honor the coupon. Can you say false advertising? read more

This used to be a nice, friendly establishment. It is now the polar opposite with staff so rude they should be banned from any customer service industry. Having gone here for several years, upon calling today I was told they don't work on my type of car (same car they've worked on for years). He then hung up on me. I had a horrible experience. I failed first time, I had to replace some parts for the smog test. I went back there after parts were replaced, the technician run the test quickly, he advised me to go on 90 FWY twice and come back for the test. While I was accelerating up to 50 miles on the FWY, the hood opened up and slammed against the windshield, cracked all across, hood itself and parts around are all horribly damaged. It was a terrible experience. Luckily I could pull aside (with windshield completely blocked by the hood) to the safe area before I got into big accident. I called the guy right away while I was waiting for Towing Truck to get company's insurance information as I was instructed by my insurance company, but he denied the fact, he insisted that he closed the hood. Well, there was no point of argument since he is not the owner of the place. Obviously I wouldn't have ANY reason to re-open the hood myself after being told to drive for a while and come back to the station for re-check. Anyway, good lesson, We always have to double check that the hood is completely closed after any kind of mechanical work, oil change, smog test etc before you drive off. I would NOT go back to this place again. read more
