    $6 whiskey Wednesday
    Na'Shota L.

Came on a whisky Wednesday. It's kind of a hard drive to get here from Charlotte because of one lane traffic. Parking lot is kind of tight in the back. They had one of my favorite food trucks visiting from SC. "This Right Here" food truck is amazing. The staff was friendly. We sat outside and enjoyed the evening.

My sister and I drove down from the DMV this weekend to celebrate my birthday with friends. I wanted to go to a cigar bar and did my research and found great reviews about Smoke and Barrel Cigar. Since this was our first time at the bar, the staff was very helpful in answering all of our questions. We appreciate the young ladies at the front desk for their warm welcome when we arrived and also Mr. Luther for the Cigar 101 session he provided to us. In addition, we also appreciate the bartender (light brown hair) for making us the most amazing peach mules (I had two! ). The atmosphere was great and the music was great so much that we were singing and dancing along. Our experience was exceptional and we can't wait to come back again.

From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere pulls you in--classy, cozy, and timeless. The decor strikes the perfect balance between vintage charm and modern luxury, making it an ideal place to unwind. Their cigar selection is impressive. Whether you're a seasoned aficionado or just exploring the world of cigars, there's something for everyone. The staff is super knowledgeable and always ready with a great recommendation. Drinks? On point. The cocktails are crafted with care and the bar menu complements the cigars beautifully. It's the kind of place where you can sip, smoke, and actually have a conversation. But what really sets this place apart is the waitstaff. Attentive, welcoming, and genuinely passionate about what they do. You can tell they take pride in making every guest feel at home. If you're looking for a classy spot to enjoy a good cigar, a great drink, and even better company--this is it. I can't wait to come back

She didn't say anything to us but the black server immediately came out and told us we needed to leave because of our attire. We were kempt and professional, yet casual. The servers had on uggs, leggings, half zip nylon pullovers, and had the audacity to approach us about attire. I will never, ever, spend my dollars, nor recommend this place to anyone...for ANYTHING.

I had grabbed some DBL box pressed cigars and the fat tall white dude in the full brimmed hat that was working, came up and took them out of my hand and started ringing them up, I told him I was still going to grab more and he rolled his eyes and walked off. One of the guys had an alarm go off on his cell phone and turned it off within 5 seconds the guy walks up with a look of annoyance and angrily says, "is someone's phone alarm going off?" "Uh yeah mine was, I turned it off..." the dude says. The fat white dude working says "there is alot of chaos over here..." while motioning with his hands, "lots of noise!" The dude says "I turned my phone off." "Thank you" the worker says sternly and walks away. So I keep having our conversation and I look at the register, the guy working keeps motioning for me to hurry up. So I say, "I'm still getting more cigars man." He literally rolls his eyes slaps both of his hands off the counter, lets out a huge sigh and walks into the back. So I grab some more cigars and go to the register... he says "do you want any of these cut?" I say "yeah could I get the DBLs cut..." and before I can finish he stares down at the counter and motions with his hand in circles and says "what kind of cut?" "V cut please" He let's out a huge sigh rolls his eyes and starts unwrapping them. So I say " if you don't want to cut them dude you don't have to." He looks up at me, doesn't say a thing then starts to cut the cigars, but he doesn't just cut them he angrily cuts them with so much force he grunts and tosses them back onto the counter. So I say "you alright man?" He sighs a huge sigh again grits his teeth and starts to tell me that the refrigerator is broken, Yada Yada Yada. Anyways, the guy is a effing prick, he treated me like I was taking up his time, I was only in there for like 10 minutes and spent over $100 on cigars... he took them out of my hands when I wasn't done looking, cut them like he wanted to kill them and gave me so much fuckin attitude. If you get Dean, you'll be super happy, but the tall fat white dude is a complete @$$hole. It sucks because I really like this place, but that dude cannot control his emotions, maybe he didn't like me, I don't know. But it turned me way off of this place, I will still go, but if I walk in and see him I'm walking the eff out. I never want to see that guy again.

We did make reservations for a Monday night, though it wasn't busy at all, so you could probably swing by on a whim should you want to during the week. The place was a bit elusive to find, as you have to look for the '3 dot sign' with a staff member guarding the door, which I'm sure is the intent! Once you enter, you walk down a long, candlelit hall, which sets the speakeasy mood right away. Upon entering, the classic speakeasy vibe hits you! Dim lighting, leather chairs, a beautiful bar stocked to the brim with whiskey, bourbon, scotch, and all the other good things you would expect to find in a place that prides itself on great cocktails. It certainly set the mood and got us ready to have an experience. The mixologists were welcoming and informative. I enjoyed my first drink, which was suggested based on my personal preferences in taste. It was a spin off a classic, and I really enjoyed it. Sort of like a cross of a penicillin and a whiskey sour. [The Never Ending Story]. My friend had the clarified punch since we had similar things we've loved in the past. It was slightly sweet, smooth, and easy to sip. We decided to just get some classics since the cocktail menu felt more like just off shots of other classics we love. They were both excluded well! But the thing that really blew us away was the food! I was really pleased with this portion of our evening! We had the crispy Brussels sprouts, and they were the best BSs I've ever had! I thought we'd take some home, but that did not happen! My friend got the Mushroom Casarecce. It was creamy and delicious! The beef carpaccio was also really nice. Overall, we had a nice night, and it was a fun experience to be had!

Great for date nights or if you want to take visitors somewhere unique this is the spot.

It said online it could take a couple days to get approved , but we had no problems just bringing him and his vaccinations. They seem strict about seeing vaccination history so I knew he would be safe and not get sick from other dogs! The check in process was quick and easy! Since it was not the best weather wise, it was only us and one other group there, but a friend said it does get crowded but never too crowded! They had a ton of picnic tables outside and beach volleyball courts. They have 2 sections outside, one is off leash and one is on leash. Inside is also on leash, so some options there! The bar is accessible no matter what section you are in, and they had a full bar. There were also some TVs inside with sports on. The facility seemed SO clean for a dog bar, I was impressed by that. The bartenders were also SO nice asking about our dog and his breed and making sure we had everything we needed. The facility seemed secure with lots of doors and magnetic locks so no dogs could escape. They did have brunch and it was delicious!!! I got the avacado toast. The egg was a tad salty but still very good! I would definitely go back!
