What a fun spot to visit while in town! My girlfriend had been wanting to try it, so we took the opportunity while I was staying with her this week. We did make reservations for a Monday night, though it wasn't busy at all, so you could probably swing by on a whim should you want to during the week. The place was a bit elusive to find, as you have to look for the '3 dot sign' with a staff member guarding the door, which I'm sure is the intent! Once you enter, you walk down a long, candlelit hall, which sets the speakeasy mood right away. Upon entering, the classic speakeasy vibe hits you! Dim lighting, leather chairs, a beautiful bar stocked to the brim with whiskey, bourbon, scotch, and all the other good things you would expect to find in a place that prides itself on great cocktails. It certainly set the mood and got us ready to have an experience. The mixologists were welcoming and informative. I enjoyed my first drink, which was suggested based on my personal preferences in taste. It was a spin off a classic, and I really enjoyed it. Sort of like a cross of a penicillin and a whiskey sour. [The Never Ending Story]. My friend had the clarified punch since we had similar things we've loved in the past. It was slightly sweet, smooth, and easy to sip. We decided to just get some classics since the cocktail menu felt more like just off shots of other classics we love. They were both excluded well! But the thing that really blew us away was the food! I was really pleased with this portion of our evening! We had the crispy Brussels sprouts, and they were the best BSs I've ever had! I thought we'd take some home, but that did not happen! My friend got the Mushroom Casarecce. It was creamy and delicious! The beef carpaccio was also really nice. Since it has been a few years since I visited I felt it was a perfect time to give an update. This place is still as great as I remember it. The food is not the cheapest but I do feel you get what you pay for. The charcuterie and potato dish is delicious. They have many of their own barrels too so be sure to ask what they have or change tour liquor of choice to one of their barrel selections. The vibe is great. I had an absolutely fantastic old fashion and the we proceeded to order the entire left side of the small plates menu it was amazing there were no disappointments with any of the 10 items. My Favorites: The Sweater Weather and Burning Leaves were perfect fall cocktails, and the deviled eggs were the best I ever had. Where do I even start? It pains me to write this review because I wanted to love this place. I'm from out of town, but this is my third time visiting this establishment and I have to say each time my experience gets worse. Before I even walked in the door I was basically told that I wasn't dressed up enough. I was dressed casually in a nice laid back outfit. To my surprise, after being seated at the bar I see the bartender who is serving me wearing a tank top with her bra showing underneath! Seriously?! If you're going to require me to "dress up more" then there should be a dress code for the people working here as well! Next, I ordered the brussel sprouts as an appetizer and they were completely drenched in some type of sauce. The sauce didn't taste bad, but it was WAY too much of it. I ordered the shrimp and grits as my entree and it was literally the worst shrimp and grits I've ever had! The texture was horrible and there was some type of sauce that tasted like vinegar. I don't think grits and vinegar is a good combination. It was gross and I couldn't even eat it. What a waste of money! Last, I had the loose lips sink ships cocktail. It tasted great but was rather weak for $17. This is coming from someone who doesn't mind spending a nice coin on a good drink. For example, there is a similar establishment in my hometown of Chicago called Three Dots and a Dash, and the drinks never disappoint! This is a members cocktail bar and restaurant. I went with a friend after dinner. It's located directly to the left of Blackwood Hardware store. We made reservations in advance and were greeted outside the door. We were then escorted into the establishment. It's fairly dark and has a cigar room vibe. They have very unique cocktails available. I tried the bourbon hot box. It comes in a sealed box that smokes the drink. The flavor is enhanced as you smell the smoke on your hands as well as the initial sip. It was a delightful experience. Came here with friends for a bourbon tasting. This place really went for the speakeasy vibe. Once we found the entrance (it is around the back of the building by the hardware garden center) we were escorted down a long dark hallway to the bar. A charcuterie board, old fashioned, and flight of bourbon were waiting for us. The gentleman who guided us through our tasting was very knowledgeable. I was able to stop in for the first time Friday night for a glass of wine. I've been waiting to try this place for weeks! While visiting my sister I had a chance to visit this lounge. I can definitely see how it's easy to miss the entrance. The location is on the backside of the shopping area. There was a doorman who professionally greeted us while doing ID check's. This lounge has a mask mandate and take extra precautions to keep all customers safe. Once we entered, it was a speakeasy vibe, very intimate like. Dim lighting, superb ambience and great waitresses and host. The menu had a food selection but we went for strictly the bar. A nice selection mainly, bourbon and whisky collections, fine wines, and (of course) classic cocktails. The Cocktails were A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. I would love to see a few more sweet cocktail options. I had the slow road to India (this was a winner). I would 100% visit this place again. It wasn't as energetic as expected. Wow!!! I am impressed with Dot Dot Dot. Finding it would have been hard if we didn't read the reviews beforehand, but we were able to find it easily since we did read the reviews. It is on the back side of a building, but just look for a guy standing at a booth outside. We were able to park upfront. Also, we approached the guy at the booth, but there were two ladies in front of us. A host or hostess comes to walk you from outside to your table inside the restaurant, but they do it by party, so you will have to wait your turn if there are people in front of you. Once the hostess came to get us, we were taken into the building and had to walk down a long dark hallway, lit up by candles on the floor. I loved this idea. Once we entered the restaurant space, we were immediately placed at a table to the left of the entrance. I did not like that and neither did my husband, but as time went on, we totally forgot about our table location. We were greeted by our chipper waitress, Josy. Josy gave a great introduction about the restaurant and menu, and then took our drink order. I love wine, so I ordered a glass of Martin Ray Cabernet Sauvignon. My hubby ordered the Hot Box Bourbon. Josy brought over an actual box that had embers burning in it and his glass of bourbon was inside of the box. It was a nice experience. For starters we opted for the Brussel Sprouts and Fingerling Potatoes. The Brussel sprouts were delicious. They were not over charred and the bacon gave it that extra kick of flavor. The fingering potatoes were delicious as well. They came out piping hot. They were seasoned to perfection. We were going to get more food but the starters filled us. We decided to get dessert instead. We both ordered the gluten-free S'mores Tart. It was absolutely amazing. It comes with a small scoop of ice cream and caramel. I highly recommend the dessert. It did not disappoint. We also ordered another to go home with us. My only gripe is that the menu is limited and the only gluten-free dinner items where the most expensive. I loved my two. I had the Thai pepper Paloma, which was really nice and refreshing. I didn't find it spicy at all. Then I had an espresso martini. Talk about BOUGIE! You have to be a member to get in, and you should have a reservation. But the hoops are worth jumping through! This bar is "hidden" in the Park Road Shopping Center behind a hardware store. You'll go through this dimly lit corridor that opens into a richly appointed bar that feels like you are back in the times of Prohibition! The drinks are fabulous.
