Great laid-back establishment and wonderful bartenders. The drinks are not very pricey either. I wish there were more food options and better snack selection, but they don't hit you over the head with the cost of the snack either. You can bring food with you. I love that the space hosts a lot of different events and you can always come in for a Hooka to vibe too. If you want a chill spot, then you found it. read more

Absolutely HORRIBLE service! GHETTO front door staff. Biased and does not have proper etiquette in handling customers. Front door staff not attentive which leads to disadvantages in seating. It's sad for this establishment to have such distasteful workers with such poor work ethic and respect for guest choosing to patron this establishment. Do the owners of this place really care about who serves as a face for their brand. I guess not. read more

For the past 6 years, The Peace Pipe has held a special place in my heart. If you are looking for an amazing Hookah spot in the Queen City with the BEST prices, you can look no further than this review. Just forget about all of the other places. The Peace Pipe is the best of the best. They are LGBTQ+ friendly and treat everyone that walks through their doors as family. The lounge is very large and accommodating, and the vibe is simply immaculate! Check their page or website for events they are hosting and awesome specials! I'm not a person who enjoys alcohol, so I opt for Hookah on my days off, but if that's your thing, they have a full bar too! Sit back, relax on one of the many super comfy sofas, and play some board games and listen to some awesome music. The wonderful and knowledgeable staff here will always take care of you! Shhhhh! This is my favorite hide out lounge. Charlotte does not have any lounges, and when I say lounge meaning you can come as you are you don't have to dress up,you can chill. The location is in the cut in private. The staff is friendly, especially the manager love him to death Ashley the bartender is the coolest. She's very patient and always have a good recommendation for Hookah to me is very good as well and sometimes if you're lucky there's a food truck outside. This is a Nother location that it will allow you to bring in outside food because they do not serve food, with a new couches and table I actually like sitting in here more before the couches and the tables were a little more thrifted. I recommend this place as a nightcap after the first date. read more

Ok this is the type of hookah bar I'm used to going to. Some of the furniture is mismatched and menus look kind of crazy but there are always good people and a good time there. I am not sure if they served food we really only came for the greatly priced hookah. We were only in town for two days visiting and this was on our list. We were there twice in one day l. Early in the afternoon we went during happy hour I believe and then we had to leave for our dinner but of course we came back. Both times Roman waited on us. He was pleasant and attentive overall great attitude. Our second visit was more fun we sat at the bar. Roman had introduced us earlier to blow job shots, you know the fun ones with whip cream? So of course we had to have a few more than night. You can't go wrong by stopping by this place. If we ever come back this will definitely be a stop. I had high expectations as this spot came highly recommended from several friends. Not saying this was a bad spot but I probably wouldn't recommend it as the hookah lounge to go to. We went with the peach/mango hookah and it was pretty good! It was a little harder to pull than I was used to but that could have been on me. The hookah was good overall. Ordered 2 drinks and my wife liked her Moscow mule, I had top shelf long island and it was definitely not a top shelf. It was weak at best. The experience was cool, okay, straight. I would definitely dress down more if I went back to match the crowd more. I guess the best way to sum this one up is a laid back chill spot with great employee customer service, weak drinks, good hookahs, with music playing on TVs along with sports on. Hello friends, Good price for hookah and repack. Beer price.. ummmmm NO!! $4.00 for a Yuengling? I didnt even look at other drink menu prices. I feel a hookah lounge is a place to stay for a while. Which the lrices should reflect it. I didn't go for drinks. Just wanted to find a new hookah spot. This is cool for that. But drink prices need to come down to earth. Got to visit this place while on a short stay in Charlotte. I'm from the NJ/NY area where the hookah bars are fire! This place: No bells and whistles. Not flashy or super beautiful...BUT with the amazing customer service, chill atmosphere, and spaciousness who needs that? The flavor selection is great. Music was good too! I will definitely be back. Let me start by saying I came in when this spot first opened and they have not disappointed!! Super cute chill vibe with hookah and drinks. Most of which are great and creative. It's very open with a lot of seating and they have a wall with games. You can have a great drink with great hookah and spend great time with friends. Super chill and spacious environment. I love how they have plenty of places to sit and that they have board games. I didn't have to pay $1 to get in just showed my ID. Like others have said they play music videos on the big screen. They have both alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks and there are snack options as well. Parking is in a lot and plentiful. The girl working was fairly new as she told us and she was super nice. She came around 2-3 times to check our coals. PS: Watermelon Mint is my favorite hookah flavor. read more

This place is an entire VIBE!!!! Very chill and laid back. Music videos playing while your sipping, playing an assortment of old school games or smoking on a hookah. There's also a food trailer/truck outside so you can order some food. There is a 1$ membership fee which is totally worth it. Did I mention that you can take a breathalyzer for I believe 25cents before you leave??? They used to have drag shows but they've stopped(saddened by that) but it doesn't stop people from patronizing this gem. read more

Disclosure - This establishment is a private club, so you will be required to join as a member and pay a small ($1) fee for the yearly membership. It's worth it! If turning into the parking lot, just keep straight - Peace Pipe is located at the end. Don't let the other establishments deter you, it's safe and you'll enjoy yourself. I learned about this place through Yelp and was determined to come see what the hype was all about. The establishment is a nice size for a large group of friends to come hang out for drinks. As other reviews have stated, the associates treat everyone like they're VIP and the plush couches offer the final touch for the executive feeling. While they don't offer food, they do have snacks available behind the bar. There are also board and card games available to pass the time if you happen to go with a group of friends who aren't big on conversation (it happens). With that being said, be mindful of how many are sharing a hookah, because the set price for one is $15.99 (intended for 3 people max), any extra people to one hookah will result in an additional fee (I believe it is $5/person). So if you're a part of a larger group, you may want to inquire about having more than one. The shisha is organic but not nicotine free - I was informed it was about 0.05%, so not enough to cause a headache, but good to know for those that prefer none. Overall, the ambiance and the variety of flavors on top of ice hookah availability is worth giving this place to try. read more

Hookah was not bad, We had guava and mango and the flavor was very good. There was a paint theme night the night I went, so since I was not participating in that event I had to sit at the bar. Staff was nice the prices are reasonable nothing to complain about. Will try other locations. read more

A friend recommended this place and I decided to give it a try Saturday night. It wasn't packed but not empty either. I didn't know what to expect since it was my first time here but we were asked to pay a membership fee of a dollar. We were asked to sit on the bar but we showed them an available spot which they gave us. Things I didn't like about the place: Service: No one showed up for a good 10-15 minutes to ask us what we need. When they finally did it took them a while to bring us our drinks. We weren't offered water and had to keep looking for our server to ask for check, coal etc. The coal guy showed up when we were leaving hah! Pricing: prices are comparable to other high end hookah places but this place is too run down to be charging prices like that. The only thing I liked is that they had my favorite flavor paan but I would still never come back because of the bad service. read more

This place is definitely hidden. I never knew it existed. When we first arrived there was only 2 other people there on a Friday night but as time progressed it became busier. The staff was very attentive. We ordered hookah and several drinks and compared to other hookah bars the prices were really decent. Came to stay in Charlotte for the weekend! Accidentally found this gem Friday night! EVERY WORKER has such a great attitude they are so nice and friendly! I wish I remembered our waiters name because when we came back on Sunday night before going back home and as soon as we came in he saw us and remembered us immediately he talked to us like he's known us forever! This is Charlotte's best hookah lounge. Not only is it extremely spacious with indoor and patio seating, but it's very clean no matter how crowded it gets. The bathrooms are also squeaky clean. I have been to several lounges where the hookah is either broken or does not hit well. I come from uptown to relax here. Jonathan and his staff are super accommodating. They do have some food on the menu, and there is usually a food truck parked outside for an even broader selection. read more

After a day of brewery hoppin' and spending our entire day together with no responsibilities (which is rare for my fiancee and I), we needed somewhere to close the epic evening with a bang. Am I glad she wanted hookah and we found this place practically around the corner from my house. The place is very clean and has a nice upscaleish feeling. While it does have a club-type feel to it (techno pop music, lighting, furniture, etc), it is actually a very relaxed, chilled back lounge with decent drinks and tons of hookah options. The staff was very professional, courteous, and above all, helpful. Both of the guys who were serving us made the experience that much more pleasant. At the staff's suggestion, we with a mint/lime for our hookah that was delicious. After a couple of drinks she got the Monkey Gland which is Absinthe and Gin and I got a beer and bourbon, we settled nicely into our very comfy couches for some truly relaxing moments chatting and watching the music videos. This was truly a nice evening for us that created a loving memory of just spending and enjoying time with each other in a nice and welcoming place. We definitely plan to go back regularly. read more

Oh my goodness I was so impressed by the drinks here. I think a lot of bars these days can get so caught up in trying to be unique that their drinks become nearly undrinkable. This place definitely doesn't suffer there. They brought us an aperitif when we came in, but unfortunately I have a blueberry allergy so we skipped that. We had 4 drinks between the 2 of us and they were all awesome. I ordered the star breaker and the green dragon (what can I say, I love gin and a good coaster), and they were both balanced and tasty. My friend got the diablo and the neon shift, and they were both fantastic as well! The neon shift was served with a black light too which was super cute. The one drink I have to call out specifically is the green dragon. On a recent visit, I enjoyed a delicious Snowball Old Fashioned while my wife sipped a rum-infused Yippee Ki Yay MotherF*****r! The menu also includes non-alcoholic cocktails and shots. In classic speakeasy fashion, you access the lounge by picking up a hallway phone and giving a 'secret' password that's available on the Backstage Instagram page. On our visit on an early weekend evening, the phone wasn't working and the freezer door leading to the lounge was already ajar. A bit disappointing, but nothing that took away from the overall experience. Service was great at the bar, and the lounge also has booths and tables for larger parties. Definitely one of the best speakeasies in Charlotte, and one of the most enjoyable pop-up holiday bars you'll find anywhere.

Probably not everyone's jam, but I loved it. All the bartenders were great-Star kept us laughing, and they moved quickly considering how busy the place got. I recommend going early to get a good spot to people watch. I plan to come back at least one more time during the holidays. 10/10!

She didn't say anything to us but the black server immediately came out and told us we needed to leave because of our attire. We were kempt and professional, yet casual. The servers had on uggs, leggings, half zip nylon pullovers, and had the audacity to approach us about attire.
