**TLDR:** **THE GOOD:** Go for your birthday! They hook you up and make you feel special! By the way, I still dream about the dinner rolls. The maple bourbon bacon is as delicious as it looked! Their sides are amazing and so are their mocktails!! **THE BAD:** They do not do to-go orders. Most items are separately priced, so you buy a steak and then you buy your accompanying sides. **THE UGLY:** The steaks were cooked terribly, and when reheated turned into an inedible chunk of meat. We ordered a medium-well/well-done ribeye and it came super bloody/medium-rare. Here is the Play-By-Play of our experience: Omg! Their dinner bread is so freaking amazing--I actually dream about it, and the bacon appetizer is to die for! I had some fancy strawberry mocktail. It was delish! The only letdown was the ribeye steak, which was super unfortunate since that's exactly what we went for. I took my sister there for her birthday, and the staff was incredibly kind. They walked us through the menu, gave her a customized birthday card, and brought out a complimentary dessert. It was a very sweet gesture, and all of our side dishes were completely delicious. The only issue--and it's a huge one--was the steak. We wanted to share a steak because we were ordering so many sides and appetizers. My sister hates pink meat because it looks like blood to her, whereas I love medium-rare. I was totally willing to take one for the team for her birthday, so we explicitly explained to our server that we needed it cooked somewhere between medium-well and well-done (light brown all the way through). The server also talked us out of the dry-aged option, and I convinced my sister to get a ribeye instead of a New York strip for the rich, marbled flavor. When the steak arrived, it looked pink from the melted butter on top, so I tried to hide it from her. But once we cut it open, the entire thing was a perfect medium-rare. Great for me, but definitely not what we ordered! My sister didn't want to complain because the staff was so sweet, but this is a steakhouse--getting the temperature right is a big deal. It's like ordering an iced coffee and getting it steaming hot; it's just wrong. I showed the server that it was completely pink in the middle, and she offered to cook it more. We all know sending a cut steak back ruins the meat, but I hoped my sister could at least eat some of it. When it came back, it was in a weird state--gray on the inside with a bright red skin on the outside, likely from being nuked in a microwave or thrown under a broiler. Worse yet, the center of both halves was *still* raw and pink and kind of gray... I pointed it out again, but nothing came of it. We didn't even get a discount or an offer to try again another time, which sucked for our first visit. In hindsight, the kitchen didn't let the steak rest because all the juices immediately pooled on the table when we first cut it. I love a juicy ribeye, but this was the exact thing that grosses my sister out. She took a leap of faith trusting me and the steakhouse, and now she'll probably never let me pick the meat options again, lol. While our server took great care of us, the free birthday dessert is standard policy for anyone celebrating-- They didn't give us any sort of accommodation for the inedible $100 steak. Which was super disappointing because it would have made our experience easier to digest. The bread was fabulous, the bacon was to die for, the sides were amazing, and the mocktails were as fancy as ever! I might give them one more shot to see if the kitchen was just having an off night. If the steak still fails, I'll just go back strictly for the dinner rolls! It was just disappointing because everything else, including my mocktail, was absolutely fabulous. The views from up here are beautiful. Now for the food : The free bread is delicious 10/10 We tried the bam bam shrimp which was so yummy 10/10 Husband got a ribeye steak which he said was pretty good - 8/10 I got the mushroom tortellini : 5/10 the sauce was pretty good and but the tortellini felt undercooked ? Something was definitely off with it. Crème brûlée: 8/10 Overall it was good but when I'm paying around $250 bucks for a meal I expect great. We had a nice time dining here for a birthday! It's part of the casino's hotel on the 19th floor, so it is a walk to get there from the parking garage. Wish I grabbed a picture of the views, it was really nice. The food was fresh and pretty good, but portions are small for some of the appetizers and dishes. The steak was charcoal on the outside and over cooked, the brussel sprouts were bitter the butter for Bread must have been next lemon in the fridge, really everything was so subpar. A group of us recently celebrated our 75th Birthdays at Muckleshoot's Smoke & Cedar. OMG! From start to finish, the S&C delivered the best tasting food and dining experience. From the moment we arrived, management personally made us all feel like special guests. Ashley, our server was perfect, too. Her personality, timing, presentations and delivery of each course impressed us all. BTW, S&C's show stopper that evening was the "19th Floor Iced Tower" (three tiers of prime/fresh seafood: Alaskan King Crab, Maine Lobster, Jumbo Prawns, Tuna Poke, Scallops, etc. The star of our dining experience was the 40 oz. Tomahawk Ribeye. OMG!! Truly a steak perfection. Just when we thought the night couldn't get any better, the Flaming Mt. Rainier arrived!!! The flambeed presentation and taste of this dessert was pure bliss. It ended the evening perfectly!! Above all, Kudos to Smoke & Cedar's Chef! We decided to celebrate our anniversary dining experience here. Roof top outdoor seated! It's selling wine and dine vibes. A man playing the piano. Glass windows to see creates a great view regardless of where you're seated. Greeted by staff with smiles. Clean restrooms. I'm not much of a casino fan but several of my friends and colleagues recommended this restaurant. Perched atop the Muckleshoot Hotel and Casino is a gem of a restaurant that I wish I'd known about sooner. Because of where we'd parked, we had to access the steakhouse via the elevator at the casino. I'm not sure if there is another entrance or not. Once the elevator doors opened to the 19th floor, my casino memories quickly vanished and we were greeted with an incredible view of Mount Rainier. I did my best to capture that view with my iPhone but it just didn't do the real view any justice. Hint: Arrive before sunset. The ambience is much more than I expected from a casino restaurant. The waitstaff is friendly, professional and attentive. Tatiana was our server and she encouraged us to take photos, walk around on the outside deck and explore. The cuisine is inventive and delicious and the presentation is beautiful. Our first course: fresh oysters in the half shell. They were some of the best oysters I've had in a while. The temperature was perfect and the grated horseradish and raspberry vinaigrette were the perfect accompaniments. My main course was the Leek Ash Crusted Venison Loin with a huckleberry compote. Excellent! The dessert? The Flaming Baked Mount Rainer, of course! Take the rest home and keep it in the freezer if there are only two of you. It feeds 4 - 6 guests, honestly. It's delicious! The price, honestly, isn't as expensive as one would think. El Goucho and Daniel's Broiler are much more "pricey". This being said, we will definitely be returning. Mediocre steak restaurant with a beautiful view. We celebrated our anniversary by renting a room at the resort and plan to indulge ourselves with a delicious dinner at Smoke and Cedar. It was a flop.. Other than the beautiful view and ambiance I find no other reason to return. The service was okay. Our server was nice but he had an unwelcoming, judging vibe. Complimentary delicious bread with a light, airy whipped butter. The food took awhile and the restaurant was less than half capacity. *Wedge salad and wild mushroom ravioli as appetizer and they were good, decent. The fried squash in the ravioli dish was delicious and added a lovely crunch, saved the dish. *Bone- in ribeye was cooked to the perfect temperature of medium rare. We added the blue cheese topping. If you're a blue cheese fan, you'll love it. There were 2 unedible garnishes that were served with the steak. A very dry, hard puff pastry. Best I can describe is a bad Yorkshire pudding or cream-less dense cream puff. The other garnish was a grilled onion with its root and skin still on. I understand the vision, but it looks tacky and cheap when served. Not something to be expected at a restaurant with this price point. Guess it's interactive and you get to peel the onion if you want to enjoy it. It did give my boyfriend and I a really good laugh how ridiculous the plating was. *sides were the mac n cheese and sautéed mushrooms. The Mac n cheese was soupy, slight cheese taste and lacked seasoning. We asked the server if it was okay to be sent back. The mushrooms I wished I had sent back. For $16, no thank you. The mushrooms were cooked a bit too long, the main flavor was unbalanced salty soy sauce, no umami and not impressive. Crème brûlée was delicious, thank goodness. They also give complimentary dark chocolate dessert at the end. It was okay. Server also packed up our leftovers in a nice reusable tote. Around $200, not including tip. I recently took my wife here because she felt like gambling and I figured if we're going to dump a bunch of money at the casino why not dump a bunch of money on fine dining first then we can dump even more in the casino? Anyways, this turned out to be an amazing idea and was a great way to start off our 3 day vacation at Muckleshoot Resort. We had the exceptional Angelika taking care of us, she was truly exceptional and I don't use that word lightly. The way she engaged with my wife over the menu items and drinks was amazing, my wife kept talking about how much she enjoyed the service. Angelika's service, the beautiful view, the amazing ambiance, the excellent food truly changed the way my wife and I look at Muckleshoot. We will be back and the best thing is my wife was so impressed by the food, drinks and service she barely wanted to gamble because she said she'd rather save the money and come back in a few weeks to go to Smoke & Cedar to try their Waygu and other premium items on the menu. Newest addition to the Muckelshoot Casino on the 19th floor roof top restaurant. Beautiful view of Mount Rainier and if you're there at sunset, the sunlight hitting the mountain is breathtaking. The food was ok for the price. With prices like that, I was expecting exceptional taste. The French Onion Soup, despite "onion" being in the name, it was too much onion. There was more onion than soup. Did have a good taste though. Bread was soft and tasteful. Nice touch with the sprinkle of salt on top. The steak was where I wasn't fully impressed. For the price of that Rib Eye, I was expecting melting in my mouth pieces. Service wasn't the greatest. Had to continue to remind our server about a drink we ordered and we're still waiting for the fresh ground pepper. read more

Food: 4/5 Good Service: 3/5 Okay Ambiance: 3/5 Cozy and Eclectic, but a bit dirty. The whole experience was ok, with a few pitfalls. The food was good, but certainly not worth the price. The service fell far short of the goal to be the "best steakhouse in the northwest." While the server was attentive, she was annoyingly so. I think my tipping point was being lectured on how sharp the custom made knives were. I am an adult, I understand how to use cutlery and it was the most condescending thing any server has ever had the audacity to say to me more than once. It's like she expected me to literally ignore basic common sense. I admit, that my expectations are based on eating at a lot of fine dinning establishments but also on my own family and their experience in the service industry. I grew up with my father managing a few very fine restaurants in the Seattle area and so I have heard what his estimations on good service look like all my life. It felt almost like the server was attempting something and attempting it well, but just not quite hitting the right notes. Like an amateur singing Mariah Carey at Christmas time, a good try, but they just aren't a professional. Like going to a community theater event, the actors are good, but not good enough to be paid for their work. That was how the service felt from the moment I walked out of the elevator. What should have been a graceful dance was more like a funeral dirge. The reservation seemed like it didn't matter, the host was almost curt but not in a "this is a fancy place" way but more of a, "I just don't care about you" way. The chairs and tables in the lounge that I was asked to wait at were dirty, the cocktail waitress (or possibly the bartender?) ignored me and the mess of empty drinks that were clearly not mine on the table in front of a surprising comfortable chair. Again, you can see the dichotomy, great furnishings made moot by poor bussing and people management. There are few things that turn me off more than being asked to sit at a dirty table and wait when I took the time to make a reservation and then not even being offered a drink while having to sit and look at a table littered with half empty glasses of who knows what. It was sort of disgusting that I was about to pay for this experience. The phrase that keeps coming to mine while writing this review is "a Mickey Mouse organization". It's like they want to be Vegas but they can't even manage to put signs up downstairs directing you to this "high class" restaurant. I honestly could go on for a few dozen more paragraphs about everything that was wrong with this piss poor excuse for a fine dinning establishment but honestly I am just tired of dwelling on what was an almost 300 dollar waste of time. I would have been better off loosing the same amount of money at the craps table downstairs because at least then I would have had a good experience. My husband usually has the filet Mignon it is very tender and cooked the way you order it. The asparagus side is amazing. We usually split the baked potato it is very large and we have it loaded. It is very good. They do seem a bit stingy with their wine pours i always order by the glass and it is a little spendy and seems like a light pour compared to other high end restaurants. I was so excited to finally go here. I made reservations for my fiance and I at 8:00 pm on a Saturday night on the outside patio. We got there and was seated right away. The view was stunning. We were on the side of Mt Rainier, and it was still before sunset so we got a couple photos, of course. Our server came and introduced herself and took our drink orders. Several minutes later she came and said the sparkling rose which I had ordered was out so I just ordered a beer. There is no tap so I just asked it to be put in a glass. It felt like it took a good 10 minutes to get the drinks. After that, the service got slower and slower. The food was great. We ended up getting a ribeye to split and that was a good choice because we both did not finish it. I ordered a second beer later and it took no less than 20 minutes. The runner who kept coming out to bring things to tables was so lost and could not figure out which table got what. Mind you, there were only like 6 tables out there. There was a table two away from us too who had music blasting from their phone for a good half an hour. The server kept forgetting things like she asked if I wanted cracked pepper when the meals were served, and I said yes. Unfortunately must give a 1 star for dishonesty. Went here for a bday dinner with my husband on the evening of 2/6. Food, atmosphere and ambiance was great, however, the restaurant (or waiter) charged our card an additional tip. We gave a 30 dollar tip in cash. On the receipt, my husband had crossed out the tip, but when I looked at my credit card charge, they added an additonal 25 dollar on top of the charges. (this means they decided to give themselves a 50% tip). Upon realizing this, we called the restaurant. They let us know that it will take a week to research. A week later they called back saying that they are still "researching". It has been almost 4 weeks, as they continue to drag this along. First off I am lucky to say I got to experience this beautiful restaurant atop the Muckelshoot Casino. Beautiful views from the 19th floor all around. We sat in the private room which I was not mad about at all. We ordered a slew of the appetizers and all of them were fantastic. From the ceviche to the 19th floor seafood tower. The tower itself was a steep $190 but came with many different seafoods. The scallops that sat atop were by far my favorite(luckily for me no one else was a fan of scallops. The mussels tasted as if they were smoked and were a close second. Oysters were great and there were a hefty amount of sauces to choose from at the bottom of the tower. I did not have either the crab or lobster, but the crab was gone in seconds. The lobster however I was told was weird and I don't think was finished by anyone of our party of 8 which is disappointing. The appetizer bread was not only a pleasure to look at but soooo good, served with truffle butter. I wanted to take more loaves home, but I don't think was allowed. Our server(which I don't remember his name), but he was top notch. Answered any questions on ingredients and his preferences on the menu. He was quick and very friendly. Now when it came to the main course the presentation was great but the delivery was not what I had hoped. I ordered the dry aged Ribeye medium rare and it came out a little in the medium side. For a steak that was close to tipping the $100 mark($85) I would hope that it would be cooked just right. There was a large amount of gristle left when I was finished but a medium rare steak I would hope the fat would melt in your mouth. It did not. But the experience and most of the menu items were great. I do recommend if you're looking for a nice steak in Auburn this is probably the way to go as there were a plethora of different cuts. Unfortunately I picked a busy night (Tommy Chong was headlining a show) so reservations went fast, however the lounge/bar is open seating. I was greeted with an amazing ambience. Huge windows with a view and a live piano player. Thankfully the bar served the full menu so I don't think I missed out on much by not getting a table. The plan was a light snack so I did caviar, oysters and a glass of Tokaji. Oysters were fresh and decently sized. Caviar was nicely presented. The glass of wine was a sweet white from Hungary. I had the field green salad which was fine but not spectacular. Our sides were creamed corn, which we didn't care for bc of the spice used and a huge delicious baked potato. There were so many choices so we went all out. We ordered the chilled char siu pork, French onion soup, wedge salad, beetroot carpaccio, hanging tomahawk ribeye with carrots and potatoes, king crab legs and finished with the cheesecake and chocolate cake. There was a really great wine selection but we did not partake, instead got a really good blackberry mocktail. The portions were perfect so you could try a lot of things without bursting your gut. The pork was one of the most interesting and delicious things we had. It had some sort of anise or Chinese spice served with some pickles and assortment of mustards. I wasn't sure about it when it got set down but it was so good. The French onion soup was honestly the best I've ever had anywhere. Very flavorful and not just salty. The wedge was ok, was a little big without enough dressing but decent and fresh. I wish we would have gotten the Caesar because I saw it at the table next to us and it was looking good. The beetroot carpaccio was really great. Love a good fresh roasted beet and beet with goat cheese is one of my favorite combos. They also give you some really good fresh brioche rolls with a salted top and fresh whipped butter. I didn't want to fill up on bread but still was a great part of the meal. The tomahawk had a nice presentation table side and was cooked perfectly but could have been a little more seasoned. The sauce and butter they serve with made up for it. Even the plain sides of carrots and roasted potatoes had great flavor. The crab legs were a little meh but maybe I just don't like crab as much as I think. Probably would skip that add on next time but we wanted to go all out. We got dessert to go and it was a great late night snack. The chocolate cake was like the Matilda cake and weighed about 3 lbs no joke. The atmosphere was wonderful, chill and classy but not so much you feel out of place not dressed fancy. There was live piano music that was a nice touch and I would imagine the view is great when it's not dark. Our server was also wonderful. Nice and attentive but not fake or over the top. It was just a great overall experience and I will definitely be back when I need another good date night. We don't go out much so not sure how it compares price wise but I felt like $400 (pre tip) for how much we got and how long we were there was pretty fair. We made reservations but we did see people getting in last minute even on a busy Saturday. The meal was following an amazing spa experience an hour before, so a little plug for the spa. So excited to give this review . Walking into this place was a wow moment. The views are beautiful and then it just kept getting better. Our server Joseph was fantastic and explained the menu perfectly . My husband ordered the old fashion and what a treat it was . We also had the heirloom tomato caprese Delicious. The filet was cooked to perfection along with the asparagus. We asked Joseph where the fresh veggies come from and he shared from local farmers . Sumner and Auburn to name a few. 1 star is for the server. She was great. The food, not so much. I understand that the Muckleshoot tribe built a big expensive fancy hotel and they want to get their money back, But the prices of the food compared to the quality is a total mismatch here. Of course it's all à la carte, so you end up paying $80 for a ribeye steak and $15 for a baked potato & $12 for a salad and so on. It's just another way for restaurants to charge you more. My Caesar salad had all white lettuce And no green, so that was gross and obviously old lettuce. I ordered my ribeye medium, and it came out super rare, and my baked potato was burnt. For those 3 items and a Diet Coke, it came to $120, actually $140 after the tip. If I'm paying $120 for a meal, I should be getting the best steak I've ever had with the Caesar salad and baked potato included! Like I said, quality doesn't match the pricing at this restaurant. I will never go back. You can go to Melrose Grill in Renton and get an amazing ribeye with veggies and potato included for $80. If you're looking for good quality food That's not over priced, I would stay away from smoke & cedar. All of this doesn't really surprise me though, the Muckleshoot Casino is the smokiest, most dirtiest casino, with the trashiest people in Washington state. People have literally been shot and stabbed to death in that casino. read more
