I think the atmosphere of being attached to a gas station adds something to the nostalgia, but the staff is the real star of the show. Everyone is super friendly and they really push people through. It used to be free from any fat at all and lots of tender lean meat. This time the beef and 1/2 was kind of fatty. But it was huge tho like i remember it being. Oh well, it was still pretty tasty. Next time I will just order like half of a beef and 1/2 as I saved the other half for the next day. I still like the bbq sauce they have there and the place has not changed in over 50 years that I know of. Oh and they ladies who work there are the sweetest.
