Great people and a very thorough exam…read more Eye doctors I've seen in Holland left me waiting in the exam room then raced in and raced out again. Dr. Annis took his time and made sure any questions I had were answered. I have no reason to go anywhere else.

Dr. Annis is truly a good optometrist. However, if you want frames and lenses, the "optician" isn't…read morethe best - if she really is one. She's no expert on how to assess what frames are best for you and the selection is limited. If they don't have the color you want, she shows you what they can order from her I-pad. They had a style that I thought I wanted. I was wrong on that. Also, the only color (of 3) available on the rack had really dark frames - they were navy. Later, I found out that all three of the colors available had really dark frames. I couldn't tell by looking at a partial view on her I-pad. Furthermore, she informed me that the plastic frames I liked would fit my large (broken from falling on it in childhood) or wide bridge. Well, they didn't. My bad, had I known. I found plastic frames at Walmart that actually DID fit my wide bridge. Either way, I was wrong about the plastic - I had metal for YEARS; put off getting new glasses far too long, and like a babe in the woods I didn't really know what would work. I have them and realized eye pads would be better. However, when I went back and found the exact frames that I wanted (again, not the color I wanted - I had to see the color I wanted on the little I-pad in a close-up partial view) I was quite pleased; I picked these out myself, ignoring her selections. The color they did have in stock was a metal frame and vivid enough for me to know that any color, shape, and size would be fine in that frame and also much more comfortable. I told her I was sure on those (since I picked them out myself, knowing this second time how much her "expertise" was lacking). Then, she told me, "fine, but you'll have to wait until this color frame arrives here before WE can put lenses into them." I told her that I was sure that they would work and to go ahead with the lenses. She refused and said, "Oh, no" I'd have to see the color first and then wait another week (two weeks total). After all, it was my fault that the color wasn't there (supposed to be some rose swirl color - no matter - all 3 colors had the same DARK frames) and that they were the wrong size for my wide nose. Of course, she reminded me that I was the one who wanted plastic frames. OK, sure, I thought I did and I was wrong. Who is he "expert" here? For the $$ I was laying down, I'd expect an expert. Finally, knowing how inexperienced she truly was, I just told them to give me a refund. I found out that the whole package was over $400. Wow, I'm glad I got the refund! She NEVER did quote any prices to me on any of the available frames. A month later, I still don't have new frames as I have to go out of town to find reasonably priced ones; my time is limited. The doctor is great - a thorough exam was done and i was happy with that, for sure. He also sent me a letter of apology. However, if he wants to sell glasses, he needs to pay up for a real optometrist who knows how to advise a client in the right manner. She was young, curt and pretty clueless and I'm being nice. Also, in order to choose from a variety of frames, They should have better pictures available for colors. The ones I chose ALL had frames that apparently, looked black, aside from the one that they had on display - the sides were right but I couldn't tell by looking at the I-Pad (guess I mentioned that before). Someday, I'll get to "Eyeglass World."
