I went in on June 22nd at 6:55pm to purchase caliburn a3s pods. I always buy them here about 2x a…read moremonth. The guy tried to tell me they only had half a box (2 pods) in stock. I know from a previous experience here that they actually have a large amount of these in stock up on the top shelf. I explained this to the guy and he said those are not it when I pointed them out. I could see he was becoming agitated which I found odd. He did pull one box that I pointed out down and sure enough I was right. He set the box of pods down I picked it up to be sure it was correct. He snatched it out of my hand so I asked him "did you not see I was trying to look at that when you snatched it out of my hand" he replied aggressively that he couldn't believe I would "reach across the counter" and he then raised his voice and asked me if I would do tgat at a bank over and over. He was breathing heavy and shaking. I then asked if I could just pay for my pods. He rang me up and I asked him if he was okay he said I'm fine I just can't believe you thought you could reach over the counter. I paid and apologized for upsetting him he then raised his voice again and tried to start an argument about it. I did not argue I left. I will argue here, I was not at a bank. I was purchasing an item at a store and I wanted to be sure the ohms were correct so I picked it up to read it. You snatching it from me constitutes assault. You sir are lucky I didn't go that route. By grace I will let this one slide. I think you were having problems today before I ever came in the store. I'll chalk your behavior and demeanor up as I caught you at a bad time. However you should not be allowed to treat customers that way ever, regardless of what your going through. You never know what someone else has been or is going through. I'll remember you and this encounter. I should also note the blonde woman sat present helping another customer and they both witnessed the entire encounter. Neither said a word. I emailed the owners at 2 different email addresses, I reached out to them on Facebook and have been ignored.

I visited Discount Tobacco for the first, and what would also become the last time, yesterday…read moreafternoon. I was in Logansport on my way to pick up cremains from a funeral home in the area, so as you can imagine, it was a tough day as it was. The inside of this shop seemed weird since everything was behind the counter. That made it hard to browse. It did seem clean albeit cluttered. There wasn't much room on the customer side of the counter compared to the open back, and it had the typical annoying scent of cheap incense in the air. My friend went to the counter first to get their items. I was really happy to spot my brand of tobacco hanging on the wall, so I was oblivious to the rude treatment my friend was receiving at the other end of the counter until we got outside a few minutes later... When it was my turn, I went up to the counter and asked the heavy set older woman there for the bag of tobacco I wanted. I tried to make small talk and saw Powerball slips, so I filled one out. The woman seemed put out that she had to hobble over to the wall to retrieve my tobacco. I would have gladly grabbed it myself had it not been behind the very cluttered counter. She never chatted back. No smile. No greeting of any kind. I went to hand her my card once she told me the total. She very rudely said, "No, no, no!" shaking her head and pointing somewhere on my side of the counter. At first, I thought she was instructing me to swipe my own card somewhere. It turned out, she was saying there was a sign that said "cash only" for lottery. I told her I was sorry and that I didn't see it. I STILL didn't see it. The only sign I had seen was a big hot pink sign saying "No $100 bills unless you spend $70." I saw that when I was at the right hand side of the counter trying to get a good look at the tobacco selection while any friend had their turn over at the left side. There were signs and items all over the place. I let her know there was too much stuff there for me to see that there was a sign saying that. The woman was extremely annoyed and angry and roughly handling the ticket and register as she exclaimed that she would have to pay for it. She crumpled up my slip and threw it down. I tried to apologize again and explain that I can use a card everywhere else I go in Indiana for lotto. (This was indeed a first!) The woman then gave me a new total for the bag of tobacco, but she very rudely snatched my card out of my hand and made a dismissive "pssh" sound. I interrupted her and said, "You know what. Nevermind if you're going to be rude about it." She rudely and roughly gave my card back, snatched the tobacco from the counter, slammed some more things around, and then condescendingly told me to have a pleasant day, or something to that effect. I said, "Oh, and you as well." I was in utter shock and shaking. When I went back to the vehicle empty-handed, I explained what happened to my friend who also said they were treated rudely as well and that she seemed annoyed she had to work and wait on anyone. My friend brought up the "No $100 bills" sign, to which I said that was the only sign I saw myself. I cannot even recall another time in my life that someone working at a store was so incredibly rude to me. If she'd been nicer, I would have gone out of my way to go find cash to pay for the ticket. There was no reason to act like that. However, I also question WHY the tickets are cash only there. Something doesn't seem right. Well, if she actually bought the ticket and I win tonight, we'll be splitting the jackpot because I bought a ticket later, two actually, using my credit card, when I bought tobacco at another store. And, my shipment of my regular brand arrived in the mail today from a great place with amazing customer service. I just needed a back up bag yesterday. Like I said, it's great they had my brand, but not only was it WAY overpriced, I will never set foot back in this store again. I'd just assume quit smoking were this place my only choice. I don't know if she was having a bad day or what in the world her problem was, but I know I sure was having a horrible time, and I didn't take it out on anyone. She made my day and journey to the mortuary much more difficult. I'd actually make a phone call to the shop had there been a number posted online. My advice, stay away!
