I would give this store 6 real, fire engulfed stars. The smoke from the stars burning all of the earth is almost as smokey as I was 20 minutes after I bought my product. The red-headed girl (With a hot boyfriend) behind the counter gave me some great advice on merchandise and such. I am definitely going to become a regular here. Id rate this shop 0 stars if I had the chance. I walk in to a half empty shop and some creepy guy with an attitude has copped an attitude with me because I asked why one of the vapes that I have never seen was $25?! I was expecting its 3000 vapes or a higher nicotine etc but this guy just said THATS the price. As I try to ask for more information I simply open the box to see how big the vape actually was and NOT the plastic packaging and then he tells me that I need to now buy it because I opened it with a super nasty attitude and I said NO I DONT. Then he threatens to make me leave?! Seriously?!! Dont hire someone at a vape shop that doesnt know how to speak the vape product knowledge and especially someone who is under 21 with such a nasty attitude! Bring your money elseswhere people. I went into this place because I could walk from my hotel to the shop and I regret it.I just wanted to get a vape pen or mod that takes juice.The guy working didn't know anything about vapes he sold me a dab pen and when I went to take it back they wouldn't let me exchange it even though he is the one who sold me the wrong thing.I bought another device thinking he finally understood what I wanted but no it also wasn't correct and I couldn't exchange or get a refund.I have almost 100 dollars in vape devices that I can't do anything with.The guy was either a moron or he sold me products knowing they weren't correct and still let me buy them.The customer service was also really bad the guy acted like I was bothering him by coming in the store.I will NEVER shop here again. read more

BUYER BEWARE!!!!! This place sells counterfeit items and will not give you a refund. I went in looking for a magic flight launch box vaporizer. The logo looked different, but for some reason I trusted the guy at the counter and bought it anyways. CRAZY over-priced. I went here to grab some XL raw cones really quick and they cost $4 per 3 pack. You can get a 32 pack for $8 literally anywhere else. I also paid $7 for INCENSE sticks. I was in a time crunch so I went ahead and paid but that is ridiculous. Not really a tobacco store. I don't know about VA but in California they call such places "head shops." They actually have some cigars amidst the psychedelic posters. However, the selection is very limited and the prices ridiculously high. read more

The shop itself has a ton of random stuff in it. It's like walking into a treasure trove that hides pipes in the back. The selection of water filtering smoking devices was not that impressive, and the prices are way too high. The guy there was able to work out a deal that actually made the trip worth while. I'd go back if need be, but I might check out some of the other local shops first. read more

Outstanding smoke shop! I found parking because a permit wasn't required on the weekend (score!). The shape clerk was young, around my age- early 20's. this surprised me considering where I just moved from (Arizona), the clerks are usually much more intimidating and rude. This guy was so helpful and I found a perfect piece in my price range and it's so easy on the eyes. Pretty piece! This costs 30 bucks, which seemed to be the general prices of small pipes. Remember to be respectful and shop with the correct vocabulary. This is stressed in several signs, and have your ID! I was nervous to go into a smoke shop so far from home, I walked out with 3 items I'm happy with at reasonable prices. Thanks to Smokey's and that very helpful, knowledgable young clerk! I checked this smoke shop out last week for the first time. I am always looking for a good local smoke shop, especially one that sells hookah ans shisha. Their shisha prices are the highest I have ever seen, with the large tins of Starbuzz selling for $10 more than what I have paid elsewhere ( large tins are $26 each). I bought a small tin at $14, which was still overpriced. With these prices I will not be back. The search for a good hookah store continues. read more

I came here about a week ago, weekend after thanksgiving, in search of an e-hookah to feed a need for the night. Figured since this one was near home, I'd give it a try. I walked out with a Starbuzz Pirate's Cave e-hookah for $15, look online to find out that Starbuzz sells them for 10 bucks, on sale right now for $7.49...I just paid double at Smokey's! Even at a non-wholesale price, Smokey's should not have upcharged so much. I went up there about a week or so ago, had a red headed girl help me out, when I told her what I needed and some specifics she had no idea what she was talking about, she intentionally tried to sell me the wrong downsteams, gave me wrong info about the Hunny combs, etc, when I tried to explain things to her about my needs shed roll her eyes and would give attitude or be extremely disrespectful. To be perfectly honest I would have put no stars if that was an option. I use to enjoy coming to this shop; my go to shop for all my products but, I started to hate this place. Their stock in flavors was far few and between! I would always be told 'we don't have anymore of that and our shipment didn't come in'. That was okay the first two times but, it started to become the norm. I was referred by friend about this shop. My first visit was a pleasant one. The staff is very friendly and definitely informative. They answered a lot of my questions and usually are up for causal convo. The range of merchandise in the shop is pretty vase, and the prices are reasonable. Bad customer service. I purchase, well used to, purchase all my products there. I've never had anything break until today. I bought a vape, $30 from the shop, but under $20 online. I try to support my local shop and don't mind dropping a few extra dollars for that reason. The vape I bought less than 2 weeks ago, broke. I brought it back to return, or even exchange for an identical one. I was very polite and asked for a return. The employee (and the woman who was always very nice), pointed to the hand-written sign and very rudely said they don't accept returns ever and that I will need to call the manufacturer. I asked is there anyway to do this here and "No, we just sell the product and it's not our problem if things don't work." Unbelievable horrid treatment from a regular. Good luck to the shop. This place is cute and I like the location. I think it's very overpriced though. I like to go in there and look around. The people working there are always friendly and helpful. They sell so many random things there so I enjoy just poking around. Admittedly, I don't go to this place for what they specialize in: Hookahs, vapes, and the associated accessories, so this is the only reason why I didn't give this place one star. I'm a cigar smoker, and since I work down the street, I thought I'd give the place a visit to save me a few minutes from going to another cigar place after I found out that Smokey's sells cigars. Problem one: Mediocre selection. I could get past that because, again, cigars are not their specialty. Problem two: The owner is clearly either delusional, or painfully unaware of what the retail price of a cigar should me. One example, they were selling a Rockey Patel 15th anniversary for 29.99. This is a 10-11 dollar cigar in EVERY other tobacco joint in the DMV area. With tax, that's a 300 percent markup on an otherwise mid-priced 10 dollar cigar. You'll pay much less than this at "bar price" for the same cigar from an actual cigar lounge. They also had many other "low rent" cigars with laughably ambitious 12 and 15 dollar price tags. I walked out within seconds and got a cigar from another establishment within walking distance. The markups on their cigars are insulting to someone like me who knows how much cigars should cost retail. There are too many other places in a 3 mile radius alone for cigar smokers to get a nice stick without dealing with the grand larceny this establishment tries to commit on unsuspecting cigar customers. The owner of this establishment should come back down to earth, do a little research on the net and what the local competition charges for cigars, and adjust the prices accordingly, because cigar smokers don't tend to be the dummies of the tobacco consumer market. read more

Smokey Shop is probably one of the worst tobacco/glass shops i have ever been to. Tonight was my third horrible experience and i had bit my tongue at the first two horrible experiences. I showed up at 9:40 pm tonight and the door was locked. i had driven an hour to get hear and called earlier in the day to ask the hours of operation and they told me they where open until 10pm. The sign on the door said they where open until 10pm. But the door was locked. it ended up being a huge waste of gas and time. My second experience was about two weeks ago i purchased an oil rig for over $200. the second time i put a torch to the nail it cracked. and my first experience the sold me a water pipe for about $200 and as soon as i got home and unwrapped it i noticed the down stem was cracked. All in all 3 times i wish i had not gone there. Terrible place read more
