I especially enjoyed the boneless chicken kebab meal (amazing flavors, well crafted), and the fried eggplant was a scrumptious pleasure with the nan. Ordered dinner the other day and I have to say it was extremely disappointing. Unfortunately it will be my first and final order from this establishment. Firstly they dropped the ball by advertising on their menu that #2,#3 come with bread. Upon calling them about it they said their menu is "outdated" and needs an update. Not even an apology for the misinformation and inconvenience caused...just appalling customer service. Food was extremely greasy, I mean it tasted good but come on if you pour a ton of oil into anything it must obviously taste good I guess. Food was literally oozing oil and I had to throw it away. K Kabob serves my absolute favorite chicken gyro sandwich in the area hands down. It is full of seasoning and taste. I always stop by here for lunch or dinner whenever I'm around Chantilly. Highly recommend for a quick cheap eat. read more

I went there for a second time. Updates: Pros- - They had a water cooler out! Yay! - The appetizer came out first, and fast - The chicken was Perfect! - a side sauce with jalapeño/cheese/tomato was delicious Cons- - They didn't have two items on the appetizer list in stock - The appetizer I chose (that was in stock) was described as fried eggplant, yogurt and bread. It came with chunks of beef in it. I do not eat red meat and was disgusted to taste it (I didn't realize it was meat as it was disguised in the brown tomato sauce). I think most wouldn't be upset, but it should be described properly. Because the chicken was amazing and service seemed to improve - I'd probably go back - but just avoid the eggplant. read more

Ordered the Deluxe Kabob which came with naan and rice. Also got a small chick peas and chicken soup with baklava for dessert. It was all good. The meats were flavorful and the chicken was juicy. The chicken soup was like a meat stew and had tons of flavor. The spicy green yogurt sauce was really yummy I will have to ask for more on the side next time. Tried this place for lunch and was definitely pleased. I got the lamb kabob sandwich and my coworker got the chicken kabob platter. The flavor was good and the sauce was a little spicier than other places but we enjoyed it. She felt the chickpeas tasted better than other places too. Usually before I write a review on a place, I'll do my research on it online and then go eat there in person. I didn't do that with K Kabob. I was just in the area running errands and I got hungry, so I was looking for somewhere to have lunch. I saw this place, and I was up for middle eastern food, so I gave it a try. I didn't plan to write a review, but it left an impression on me, so I decided to write one. The sign on the front of the restaurant says that it is Afghan Kabob. The staff were very friendly and about three different people greeted me as I walked in. I ordered the the chicken and beef combination kabob. The serving size was huge, which was great because I was pretty hungry at the time. The meal came with the chicken and beef on a large piece of nan-style bread. It included rice, as well, and sauce. It tasted great. The meat had a lot of flavor, and because it was served on the bread, the bread collected a lot of the flavor, too. The restaurant is on the small side and it looks more like a to-go restaurant. I ate there, though, and several other people stayed to eat. There were no customers when I got there around 6pm on a rainy Thursday night. Person at the counter was very friendly. Service was fast, since I was the only one there. I am rating 3 stars because of the food. I ordered the combo kabob with the chicken and steak to go. Although tasty, the steak was very tough and hard to chew. I cannot even separate the steak into smaller pieces with my bare hands. That's how tough it was. The chicken and the side dishes were good. The chicken was dry but tasty enough. The combo kabob was priced at $12.50 and so I thought it was a waste of half the price I paid because I couldn't eat the steak. Although the service and the chicken was good, I really like steak kabobs and so I'm really disappointed that I cannot get them here. read more

We ordered the Super Dish, Subzi Chalau (entree), Aushak, and Naan. I didn't want to give it 2 stars because the food itself was delicious (review below), but there were a couple things seriously wrong with our order. We expected an entree-sized portion of the subzi with rice, which is priced at $10.50. When we received our order and opened the takeout container, the main compartment was filled with rice and only 1 side dish section had subzi in it, not even all the way full. For $10.50 for cooked spinach, we almost expected the opposite. At other comparable restaurants, this size portion would have just come with the kebab. And if you order the side of subzi with a side of plain rice separately, the total is $9.90. Still expensive, but considering we ordered an entree, the price and portions do not make sense to me. The second issue was that the Aushak comes with a meat sauce on top and ours did not. I understand this is a very critical time for businesses that are still open and essential workers. But I also think that maybe the menu could have been altered to reflect supplies, if that was the issue, as it is posted online. And a number of things could have happened, I am only reporting our experience so others are not surprised if this is the usual. That being said, I will review our items in more detail to give a better idea of quality, because the dishes we ordered were so amazing: Super Dish Highly recommend if you eat all the meats; comes with a chicken kebab (which is marinated tandoori style), kofta kebab, lamb kebab, and a side of qorma; all super tender and cooked beautifully, qorma was awesome. And the menu says white rice, but ours came with seasoned rice -- if you can get that do it. Subzi Excellent if you love saag or just want some veggie (read: roughage) with your meats. The flavor was perfect. Aushak Disclosure: I love dumplings of any kind, which is why I ordered it. Missed the meat curry topping which I think would have been nice. The actual leek filling itself was just ok. Naan Came with 2 pieces. Big, soft, and tasty. I don't know for sure, but theirs seemed to be a whole wheat naan. Won't be ordering the subzi again unfortunately for that price, but would definitely consider the kebabs. But this place may rival our other favorite kebab spot in the area. read more

Chicken is tender and juicy, same with the beef. The only downside is there were five zunaniyan, all sahelis, gossiping and talking about God knows what. We stopped there by chance, you can't see it from the road, it's in the line of food places facing a parking lot next to the Red Robin in the Super Target shopping center on Route 28 just off Prince William Parkway. We had two lamb dishes, #7 Lamb Kabob and #9 Chopan Kabob (lamb chops). Lamb - great seasoning and juicy, cooked just right. The best we have had in a while, and we go to many restaurants from that part of the world. Bread - really this is why you go to an Afghan place, for the bread, and not disappointed, it was great. Three small bowls - chickpeas good, spiced yogurt good, hot green stuff very good. Rice - OK, cooked properly and it supported the rest of the meal. Salad - it was just plain salad w/cucumbers and tomatoes with some dressing but completely fresh and delicious. I was surprised at the freshness of everything, considering it was a half hour before closing. Bonus - friendly staff. Bonus - comp tea. Bonus - good size portions, we could not eat it all and took some home and I'm eating it for lunch right now. We will definitely be there again. read more

I ordered the bone-in chicken kabob lunch (L1), and the man at the register told me he added hot sauce to make it spicy. After conveying that I did not want spicy, he said "it's not spicy, it's sour." Upon taking the food to go, I was unable to eat it because it was so spicy. I brought it back the next day, and same register person argued, stating the bone-in chicken is spicy (without the extra sauce), even though nowhere on the menu does it state that. He also said he would not be able to refund my money because I paid with a credit card. He finally agreed to replace my order with chicken breast.
