First time here. The food tasted okay, it would have been a 3 Star had it not been for the fact that for $10.50 they gave me only 4 small pieces of chicken! The pieces of chicken were literally the size of a quarter. The rest of the plate was a huge pile of white rice and a little mini salad and a mini cup of chickpeas. I feel if I'm coming to a kabob restaurant I'm coming to buy kabob meat with a (side) of rice, not a huge plate of rice with barley any meat. Not to mention as I'm eating my rice I found a small blue string of what looked like a piece of dishwashing sponge. My family and I stopped by here on a whim. Boy am I glad we did! I ordered the chicken kabob meal, which came with a salad, rice, chickpeas, and naan. We were also given some complimentary soup, which was very tasty. Great portions for the price, and everything was really good. My wife was very happy with the lamb kabobs she ordered. I don't eat much kabob honestly. This place is pretty excellent. You'll wait a minute for your food because they prepare it fresh, but you'll be glad you came. Delicious kabob, some of the best I've had in Northern VA. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and offered me complimentary soup while I waited for my order (which was also very tasty). The kabob was just right, cooked well but still tender. The naan was different than I am used to, but not in a bad way! It was very good. The rice was amazing, very savory and complimented the kabob well. Even the green sauce was way better than expected, it had a spicy tang to it that was unexpected and very pleasant. Just had a gyro sandwich for lunch, first time here. It was delicious made in fresh naan however they actually use pre-made gyro slices and lack an actual gyro skewer machine...this makes a huge difference in quality. I will try other items and return here but not gyro. read more

I mixed in the rice, chickpeas, and pita with the meat and again, excellent! Pricing is fair and comparable to what you expect for the large portions you are served. While waiting, I was offered complimentary soup, and I have to say I would take a bucket of it home if I could it was that good. The staff and I believe it was the owner, were all very friendly. The ambience, well, is spartan which led me to give them a four star. For food quality, they deserve four and a half. I saw this place had opened recently and decided to try lunch. I have been back two more times since. Each time I have been there, it has been a bit more crowded as people are finding out about this place. All three times I have not been disappointed. I have tried the chicken kabob and the shami. Both were very good. The bread is a bit thicker than I am use to, but still was good. Each order comes with rice, bread, chickpeas and salad. The portions are generous and are enough for 2 meals for me. Price is reasonable. My gold standard for Kabobs in NoVa is Moby Dick's, but this place is just about as good. The only improvement I would recommend is that they should have kabob salads as an alternative to the kabob platter on their menu. read more
