I'm back in the area and had to return to taste other items. I'll skip the details this time of driving up the sketchy road, etc., and right to the food. This time I had the 3 rib dinner. The ribs are huge and along with the 2 sides, it's easily dinner for 2 people or 2 dinners. The ribs had a very nice smoke with a crispy bark. Some folks prefer a little pull to the meat to get it off the bone (me) others prefer the fall off the bone texture. Food was hot, owner was friendly but a little bit presumptuous in asking if it was the best BBQ I had eaten in my whole life. I am from TX and yes, I eat meat (often). The beans are especially unique and delicious (however,if you don't appreciate garlic then you should choose something else). Fries were fresh, nicely seasoned and generally perfect. Just know if you're searching for a restaurant, this is a small food trailer, located in a dilapidated parking lot with rusting carnival rides and signs for fireworks. We were traveling on a cold, gloomy day, and needed a restaurant with indoor seating, restrooms and a place to relax out of our vehicle. We tried to stop here. It took us a minute to find the location. We hear the food is really good, but couldn't try it. So I've been coming to 141 for over a year and finally decided to try the bbq oh Lord what a bad choice to make. I and a coworker got two orders of half a slab and brisket with baked beans, okra, and potato salad. The ribs lack all of any kind of flavor and adding the bbq sauce surely didn't help none at all. I will say the ribs were soft and juicy but tease like they were dropped in the hot coal. I only had one bone and throw the rest in the trash. The baked beans appeared to have been cooked in the bbq sauce which if it didn't help the ribs it surely didn't help the beans. The okra was the closest to the best thing I ordered and eat all of but they were fried harder than my liking. This place definitely gets a 0 out of 10. This goes down as the worst BBQ I've ever had. read more
