I've…read morespent the past couple of months trying different places just to make sure I wasn't exaggerating, and nothing has matched the flavor this place delivers. Their quesabirria tacos are $4.25 each, and yes, that might sound a little pricey -- but when you compare it to other spots charging $13-14 for three tacos, it's actually right in line. You can also get the consomé for $3.25 extra, but honestly, you don't need it here. These tacos already have plenty of juices, flavor, and crispiness built right in. They're so well done that I'd call them perfect as-is. The tacos come with the beef already inside, and then you can head to the toppings station to finish them off however you like -- add your own cilantro, onions, and salsas to build them your way. I love that touch. They also serve birria ramen, birria quesadillas, birria pizza, nachos, and even a torta (a Mexican sandwich), so there's a lot to explore. But if you're going for the best flavor, the birria tacos are the move. The staff is super friendly, the place is clean, and there's always plenty of parking out front. All in all, Taco Tento has the most flavorful birria tacos I've had anywhere. Highly recommend trying them. #RoliEats #Goodeats #GainesvilleGA #BirriaTacos #Quesabirria #FoodieReview #SupportLocal

The good thing about this spot is they'll be open when everyone else has closed BUT when they're busy.... they'll straight up tell you "45 min wait for your food" so there have been times when I just leave. I've been told I should avoid the area late at night? Can't speak to that but overall, solid tacos, quesadillas and tortas if you're looking for a late meal. They've recently put some tents over the benches which helps, a lont time ago all they had were benches but the set up is much better now. Prices are fair.

We found ourselves in Gainesville, Ga and saw they turned the old Chick-Fil-A/Sonic into a Mexican restaurant. Oh cool, we thought. We'll have to try it. Full disclosure we did order food to go, but I took that into account when for this review. When you go in, think dollar store Chipotle. We ordered two burritos, two tacos, and a bowl. The burritos were carne asada. Beans, rice, all that jazz. They were fine, but nothing to really make them stand out. Salsa was mid. Beans, mid. Rice, mid. Etc. Just now wow factor. Moving on to the tacos, the tortillas were good and fresh. Meat was plentiful and with enough lime and salsa, overall a good experience. Then we get to the bowl. I ordered birria bowl. Everything looked the part except I didn't see the sauce in the meat container when they were making the bowl. That should have been my first clue. When I got home to eat, the meat was dry and needed salt. When have you even had Mexican food that needed salt!?!?!! The meat had a lot of fatty pieces as well, which I didn't necessarily mind, but I know is a turn off for a lot of people. The bowl just didn't taste like much of anything. All told, the order was around $40. Just not worth it. There are too many other Mexican places within 10 minutes that have better food. Place was clean. Service was ok, just could have saved money at Taco Bell.
