I spontaneously stopped here at 6:35pm on a Sunday while traveling home. I was wanted t something to end and decided I wanted tacos but not from Taco Bell. I saw this restaurant on a the highway food sign. Walking in, it said you can seat yourself. They have the list of daily specials posted as well. I was greeting after standing in the foyer area for a minute. The cashier was very friendly. I was presented a menu. They also have quesabrilla tacos that isn't listed on the menu. I ordered traditional asada tacos combo with rice and beans on flour tortillas. My order was placed at 6:43pm. I got it to go. I was told I could sit as it would be about 10 minutes. It looked pretty busy inside. I got my food at 6:55pm but it was really ready several minutes before as I saw someone being it and another order and place it on a pick up area. When I go to the car, I opened everything to check before leaving. I noticed they put the cilantro and onions in a container vs on the tacos. At first, I was confused but then I could see the reason for it. The rice and beans were together in another container. I was given chips and salsa. I put the cilantro and onions on my tacos before heading the road. The asada was average. It was warm in temperature and didn't give me the grilled steak taste that i love have had at Kroger places. The rice and beans was also average. I only ate about 5 chips because I wasnt that hungry and they weren't the best. My meal was $17 after tax, which I would say is average for 3 tacos, rice, and beans. It fulfilled my desire for tacos but not up to my standards for asada. read more

The food is always good here and the staff has been here for a long time as well. Service is quick and the staff are very friendly. It is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants and their Texas frozen margaritas are top shelf. If you have more than one you'll need to have a designated driver cause they don't skimp on the tequila !!! Great place read more

We have stopped here many times and that will be our last trip. LOTS of servers - mostly on phones lacking customer service. I mentioned it was my husbands Bday and he asked if he wanted tequila. I said no he is driving but I'd like to embarrass him with the big Mexican hat and a song. I had a $20 billl to give him... as a top -- He acted like he understood but NOTHING happened. We waited and waited for check and nothing... I would have even ordered another beer if anyone had come back to our table. We eventually went to counter and asked for bill which she had to go get. Food is good but pricing is not consistent. Every time, I order the same thing (not one of the specials) and price is always different.

Our favorite Mexican restaurant, but I was disappointed in the extra fee for using a credit card and the extra tax on liquor. This is the only restaurant we have seen in Jefferson that charges a separate liquor tax. read more

If I could give no stars I would. I ordered the simplest order that you could order at a Mexican restaurant and they still managed to mess it all up. First of all I just ordered a water and a chicken quesadilla. I got no cheese on a quesadilla. And the chicken had a bone in it. When I told my waitress about the issue she told me "chickens have bones" like I didn't know a animal has bones when I repeated how this is a hazard and that a child could be hurt or worse she just repeated that chickens have bones. This restaurant seems to really have gone downhill. We stopped by today for a quick bite lunch and the service was really slow. The small chicken soup wasn't as good as before. We ordered the number 14 combination meal to share we upgraded the burrito to shrimp extra $4.00 , cheese enchilada, a pork tamale. Shrimp burrito was tortilla with cheese on it even when we said no cheese sauce and plain tasteless shrimp, nothing else in burrito no cheese inside, no tomatoes or onions or anything just tortilla and shrimp. The tamale was gross to for some reason it had ground beef and cheese on top. The cheese enchilada was okay but the cheese was hard to eat because it had sat under the warmer too long. There's not many good food options in Jefferson for Mexican food or anything really and it's unfortunately the reality. read more

This place was great. The prices were exceptional especially when compared against the food. I can't recall the name of the dish I got, but it had a burrito, an enchilada, rice and beans and I think I paid $6 for it? The rice was the best Mexican rice I've ever eaten! Usually rice is just extra filler for me but not in this case. The rest of the food was also very delicious but I had to mention the rice specifically because I was so surprised to have such flavorful Mexican rice. Can't go wrong with this place! Walked in and was immediately seated on a Friday night. It is refreshing to go somewhere that is open after 8pm these days! Soon after being seated the chips and salsa were delivered and a server came to take drink orders. Good personality from the server even joking around with speaking some Spanish even though we dont know Spanish. Drinks were good, queso was in point. Food was served hot n fresh. I DO NOT RECOMMEND EATING HERE!!!! I went to eat here today september 18,2022. i had the chicken nachos my boyfriend had the chicken enchiladas. he took one bite and said it didn't taste right. I ate a few bits of my nachos. an hour later I started to feel really sick I was shivering, I had a headache, fever. It's been a long time since we've stopped here and we will probably not stop here again. In the past, we have had excellent service and great food. Today we had neither of these. It seems to have really gone down hill as someone else has already mentioned. We sat on the patio because we were traveling with our pup and it was a less than pleasant experience. Flies were everywhere and the smell was overpowering. The inside wasn't much better when I stepped in to find the restroom. We ordered the chicken fajitas and it was a decent portion but it looked and tasted like chicken from a low rated Asian restaurant. Even being hungry after sitting in a major traffic jam outside of Atlanta, we just couldn't eat the whole meal.
