Tacos are typically good, I was excited to try their rice and beans but the beans were pretty gross and tasted old.. the rice wasn't fresh, it was like they opened one of those already cooked bags of rice that you warm up in the microwave. The chicken was good and moist. They are always super nice and have good service. I just wouldn't order the rice or beans again unless they change it and make it fresh everyday. read more

FINALLY! Authentic delicious tacos, no more tex-mex weird queso that tastes like velveta for me, and you shouldn't put yourself through it either. This place is attached to a gas station, but don't let that deter you or you'll miss out on beautiful hand crafted tortillas and some of the best chicharrons you'll ever have in your life. The owners are very nice, accommodating, knowledgeable and have great service. I spent about 17 dollars on a meal for myself (4 tacos at 3.50 a piece because I got the fancy ones) the drink, and the taxes. Highly recommend visiting here, it's a real gem. read more

This place is attached to the Chevron in downtown Gainesville. It isn't inside the Chevron and has its own entrance. The hand made corn tortilla is unlike anything you have ever had. Gluten free and taste amazing. The tacos are a lot bigger than what I am used to seeing at a quick mexican food place. The chicken tacos were also amazing. My partner and I were first timers at Vicky's today but that certainly will not be our last trip in. We were greeted upon entry and given superior service. The restaurant was clean. Unfortunately they were out of Birria by the time we arrived though so instead we had Vicky's Special Tacos. We order one chicken, one carne asada, one al pastor, one chorizo and one chicharrones. There is a self serve salad bar with yummy house made salsa's, onion, cilantro and limes. ALL of our tacos were delicious. I also recommend trying whatever juice they have available. My husband and I stopped here after a doctors visit to get something to eat. We have never been here in this restaurant before and much to our surprise. It was off the chart. As we walked in, we were greeted by the gentleman that was standing at the counter. He was very polite, very informative about the food that they had to offer the restaurant here itself. It's very quite very pleasing to sit down and just relax and enjoy something that they have to offer here so far everything that I saw come out of their kitchen looked absolutely fantastic, and then I asked the gentleman about the homemade corn tortillas if they sold them separately and he said no, they did not sell them separately, but was more than happy to accommodate me and offered me a plenty amount to eat with my chili tonight. I thought that was awesome. Not many people offer that type of service, my husband and I ate the what we call the street tacos with the steak, cilantro onions they have pickled onions that are a little on the spicy side. They have sauces to go on your tacos and your other dishes. Absolutely wonderful I can't wait till we come back to eat again read more

We stopped here to grab eats before fighting traffic back to the other side of the city and I am SO HAPPY that we did. We were welcomed by an older gentleman that thoroughly explained the menu and most popular items. He was patient with us because it was our first time here and I really appreciate that. The food... oh the food!! The food was REALLY good. I had the nacho supreme with chicken and chorizo and a quesadilla. It was amazing. If ever I find myself this far from home, I'll definitely be stopping here to try something else that I'm sure will be equally delicious. read more

Ran over to Vicky's Tacos for lunch today and we were pleasantly amazed! We were greeted nicely as we walked in. The menu was explained to us and we ordered tacos and a tostada. The Carne Asada and the Chorizo were too die for! So yummy! My husband had a giant tosada and also some tacos and he loved them a well. I went ahead and tried the mango juice, which was suggested by another reviewer and it was great! We will be back again next week! read more

The quality of the food is terrible, cold and hard chicken, the steak was dry and chewy, refríes berms we're watery and smoky and hand made tortillas seems store bought and honestly the only thing that was half way decent was the salsa bar. Don't go! read more

I adore supporting entrepreneurs that are passionate about their businesses. Clearly there is something special about this family that opened up this restaurant, and I am going to go back! It just opened -so there are a few kinks to be worked out understandably- time will iron those out. But they gave me incredible service with a smile. Let me tell you- GO to this place if you want to taste what a real corn tortilla is supposed to taste like! SO YUMMY! I cannot wait to tell friends and family about this place. Decided to give this place a try today and went to get takeout. Ordered a Birria taco and a Chorizo taco and I must say, those were some good tacos. They were fresh, and the gentleman working the register was very friendly. The guy in the kitchen cooking was nice, and I felt like family when I walked in there. It was ok nothing to write home about. Parking is terrible and I got the quesobirra tacos and the meat wasn't seasoned well nor the consume. The onions and cilantro were not included on the taco and had to get them off a small bar in small containers. They always have a line so maybe I just got the wrong thing or they were having a off day. read more

Place has opened not too long ago. I have been here a few times since the day they opened. I've tried the asada tacos, birria tacos, and chicharrón tacos. The three of them are really good. I really recommend the chicharrón taco. Next time I come in I'll remember to take a picture of my food and I'll upload it. read more
