They had some tacos I was not used to seeing, such as smoked brisket tacos, sweet chili shrimp tacos and haddock (fish) tacos. I got a shrimp and haddock one for myself... OMG... they were bursting with the flavor and the aiolis (jalapeno and sweet chili respectively) were delicious with them -- you can see the other ingredients on the menu. It's o random side, yes, but I got the seaweed salad with them and was so delicious. I was quite satisfied from this meal alone, but I later on wanted to get nachos. My coworker and I got lemon pepper wings, Old Bay wings and fried whiting. I opened the container, and I was SOLD off the SMELL alone. Then I tasted it??? Soooooo DAMN GOOD!!! Like...almost SINFUL good. The seasoning was SEASONING. The wings were hitting. That fried whiting??? YES, was whitinging!!! I couldn't finish everything, so I took my leftovers home for dinner. And OH MY...it STILL HIT hours later!!! That's when I got mad at myself because WHY DIDN'T I ORDER MORE?! We had the minced pork sandwich topped with slaw, and the chicken sandwich which is chicken (breast and leg) with two pieces of bread and sauce. Both were great! The baked beans are sweet and saucy. When I walked in, three ladies were sitting at a small table, and one immediately got up to greet me and take my order. After checking out the menu, I decided on the rib and chicken platter--which does not come with sides--and the rib dinner with green beans and sweet potatoes. Of course, I couldn't resist adding an extra side of potato salad. While waiting, I took in the atmosphere. Dale's has more of a country store vibe than anything fancy, but that just made me think all the real effort was going straight into the food. And clearly, it was. My order was prepared and packed up quickly, but I didn't get the full experience until I made it home--and MAN! The portion sizes were huge. Definitely enough to get your money's worth. The ribs were tender, the chicken was perfectly charred and seasoned, and the sides absolutely delivered. That potato salad especially? Spot on. Dale's may be tucked away in old Indian Head, but it's absolutely worth the trip.
