Wow the food was amazing!!!! We started of with the pork nachos and they were some of the best i have had ! We also did the ribs - fantastic rub by itself that it didn't even need the side sauces. We did their sausage and tenderloin and they were both good also. Finished it off with a banana pudding which was a perfect balance of flavor and not overly sweet. The staff was super friendly and helpful. They had a nice covered seating area and nice views I am from Miami and can't wait to try it again when i am back in the area. A group of 18 showed up at 2:00. They had food coming out while some were still in line. The BBQ was deliscious! Generous portions and it was a great experience for us Oregonians. Ribs were wonderful, also tenderloin and various sandwiches. Corn was only disappointment. Staff couldn't have been nicer! Checked on us often. Amazingly delicious BBQ food! Today, my wife & I decided to try the Smokin Pig BBQ restaurant & we were very glad we did. We loved our ribs, pulled pork & sides. Besides the tasty ribs & scrumptious pulled pork, the house's sweet bbq sauce was excellent & the coleslaw was better than KFC. The baked beans also taste delicious. The brisket was 2 stars / extremely dry and lacking flavor. Had to mash it up and mix it with the sauce (which was pretty darn good) to get it down. What do I love more than a good hole-n-the-wall BBQ place? NOTHING! HOLY SMOKIN HELL this Barbeque is moist, mouth-watering, smoky perfection. With 3 sauces to choose from: sweet is eh, spicy is good - could stand more heat but the mustard sauce is delicious. Best cole slaw I've ever had outside of my house. Small chop, barely sweet, a star in its own right. The baked beans are great! And I usually in even like those (my wife gets them). The two potato salad options were just ok but everything else more than made up for it. Price + quality + quantity + Flavor! I was there at the beginning. I watched it open. I even had a punch card. I'm that old at the Smokin' Pig. I was there when the bridge made you drive up Crum and come all the way around. I was there through COVID. It's like the world did everything it could to close this place, but good food kept it open. When people in my office would ask where we should go for lunch, I picked Smokin' Pig 10:10. When they complained, I reminded them that if they didn't support "The Pig," it would close and then they'd be out of BBQ. So, we went. I learned that had it not been for catering, this place would not have made it during the bridge reconstruction or when COVID closed everything. I'm glad I went and I hope my little contribution helped. Enough about that, let's talk food. They have good BBQ. One nice thing is this isn't one of those BBQ places that gives you a paltry bit of BBQ on a sandwich. You know what I'm talking about. You open up the bun and wonder if they were running out of pulled pork. Not here. Their sides are small, but they have the 2nd best greens I've ever eaten (shout out to Oohh's and Aahh's in DC). I've gone so far as to just get a pint of greens for lunch. I want to feel healthy over that, but I know it's not vegetarian. There are plenty of menu choice and you'd be hard pressed to get something that's wrong. My favorite - BBQ nachos. This is a meal that you order when you don't really care about yourself anymore. It's a meal that you know your Dr. would judge you for eating...and maybe stop seeing you as a patient. I am amazed that cardiologist aren't picketing outside (pro or con). Imagine round tortilla chips lightly seasoned with some rub, then what seems like way too much pulled pork is piled on, with so much cheese you'll worry about having to put a screen over your butthole to keep mice out. Oh, and there's some jalapeños, too. The worst thing is when I get 1/2-way to 2/3 through and the nacho sweats kick in. I slow to a nibble and feel bad about not eating it. Will I disappoint the poor pig if I leave some behind? Eventually my body says ENOUGH! and I push the basket away. When I eat them for lunch, I don't eat dinner and may pass on breakfast the next day. It's like cyberstalking your old flame - you enjoy it when you're doing it, but you feel guilty and a little bad later. Still...you know you're gonna do it again. I've gone to the 1/2 order of nachos so I can actually finish it. Eat some Smokin' Pig! read more

Was in town to visit the Andrew Johnson museum and when we were through there it was lunch time. A quick Yelp search bought us to the Smoking pig. So happy we came here! The BBQ was great. The restaurant has counter service and maybe 8 tables inside. The staff were all friendly and helpful. I got the porkinator sandwich and my wife got a quarter order of the nachos. The sandwich was huge. It was piled high with pulled pork, a pork tenderloin, smoked sausage and bacon. One of the best meals I've had in a while. The nachos were great too. The $4 quarter order made for a great lunch. We couldn't believe how good the food was for the price. Excellent value read more

This is definitely a little hole in the wall! It is a small place right beside an antique store, but don't be intimidated, this was the best BBQ ever. I had the sandwich platter, which was more than enough food! They had the cheesiest mac n cheese ever and some great southern cole slaw. Great lunch at SPB. We were very hungry for quality BBQ and we were not disappointed. Ribs were moist, fall off the bones, and very tasty. Not super smoky, but that was ok. Very meaty. The sweet sauce was a perfect compliment to the ribs. We also had the pulled pork tacos. They were really tasty, as well. Great cole slow , finished off with too much to eat all at once Death By Chocolate and Strawberry Shortcake desserts. After discovering The Smoking Pig when I moved to Greeneville Tennessee almost 2 years ago I decided there couldn't be a better way to have a surprise birthday party than using the Pig for catering. They are incredible is the only definition I could use. They delivered to the minute of when asked and the food? What more could be said, 46 people and every single one of them complimented me on how perfect everything tasted. This unassuming little gem, hidden in the back of a larger building is a "Must Stop" location. Their pulled pork is mouth-wateringly delicious, and is stacked HIGH on the bun. I had to squish it a bit to get a bite, and I am NOT a small person! The sauces they have to add to it are very, very good, ranging from a mild to a delightfully hot Mango sauce. This one WILL give you a round of hot sweats...but it complements the smoky flavor of the pork very well. The sides are excellent too. Made in house, the potato salad is a multi-layered flavor treat. The slaw has a great, full flavor too. Even the unsweet tea is above average, being a LOT stronger than the brown water one often gets in places like this. Overall, I give the Smoking Pig a two thumbs up, and recommend driving out of one's way to track it down, and enjoy a great plate of food, served by friendly and interactive folks! read more
