My meal, a Big City Reuben Sandwich with a side of steamed broccoli in beer cheese, satisfied my tastebuds, although the beer cheese sauce was more liquid and less flavorful than expected. My spouse could only say "disappointing" about his. He ordered Thunder Road Chicken Nachos and a Caesar Salad. The Thunder sauce only penetrated the first layer of chips, so he requested another mini-ramekin (an extra 50 cents). A layer of raw (not pickled) jalapeño slices, some with seeds, dotted the top of the dish and was too hot for his taste, even with a ramekin of sour cream to soften the heat. And the Caesar salad: Unfortunately the greens became rather limp (lacked crunchiness) when coated with an oil-and-vinegar-tasting dressing. Thankfully a generous sprinkling of fresh Parmesan cheese and ample croutons completed the salad and made it acceptable. We come here a lot. Food is good but service at the bar has gotten worse. They let bartenders go that were great for whatever reason but it impacted the service.. I have also complained to the corporate office about how loud the bands play more than 95 decibels- in a very small place. All I get is lip service " we will let the location know". With that said. Life is about choices. Don't come here on nights that bands are here - no conversation can occur- website provides that information . Understand that the bartenders really don't want to be here except one or two of them. Wanted you to be informed. read more

Staying nearby for a work trip, couldn't pass up on a brewery. Sat at the bar since it was just me. Plenty of TVs around if you're watching sports. Bartender was attentive. Beer was just ok. I had the pale ale. Wasn't bad, wasn't outstanding. They had multiple specials for the evening (Monday). I ordered the Reuben pizza but in a calzone. It was delicious. Don't knock it till you tried it. It was a large portion and I couldn't finish it all. They provided red marinara for dipping. Probably would have asked for thousand island instead had I known but I did use the marinara for the end pieces. It was average tasting. They have trivia on Mondays so be prepared for it to be a little loud. Didn't bother me, but if you're looking for a quiet dinner better make sure you're on the other side of the building. read more

It's a fairly busy area but there's plenty of free parking. The interior of the brewery is large and at first blush pretty impressive, with many tables and bar stools. We had just driven up from Atlanta and wanted to get a bite as we had some time before we could check into our nearby hotel, it was early afternoon and check in at 3:00. We ended up at the bar - I ordered a flight of the the brewery's offerings: * Black Bear Ale - English Brown Ale - Sweet malty brown, could use some carbonation. Average. 3/5 * New England IPA - Someway basic New England IPA. East drinker. 3.5/5 * Tuckaleechee Porter - Fairly basic Porter, malty, slightly sweet with roasty notes. Pretty flat. 3/5 * Dark Ale - American Porter - Nitro version, creamy mouth feel, slightly bitter. 3.5/5 In all I wasn't expecting much and wasn't too surprised at the beer. It was all pretty bland brewpub stuff. For food we got lunch - I ordered some type of fish and chips that had small fish pieces lightly breaded/fried. They tasted fine but were served lukewarm - nothing like eating cold fish. I'd say overall the experience was underwhelming. Service was fairly good if a bit spotty. The staff turnover here has created very inconsistent quality. They rarely have enough people working to cover the floor on day shift. Consequently, the bar tenders leave the bar unattended for periods of time. I've been a long time patron here and am considering going to the alternative options. read more

Love this little place! They have a really good Chicken Philly sandwich and their pizza is pretty good. They do make their own beer there which is pretty neat. Service is good, never had an issue before. I love that you can see the stills while you're eating. Certain nights they also have live music, which is fun! read more

I went with two of my coworkers. We sat at the bar. I wish I remembered the bartender's name, because he was on point with his service, friendliness, and sense of humor. Because we went at 9:30 at night, my expectations from the kitchen were pretty low. Boy, was I wrong! Everything we had was amazing! Their fried pickles are something to be tasted to be believed. I've never had anything like them. I had the most amazing patty melt also! I was a little surprised that they only had one IPA, but at least it was a good one. This place was busy for a Tuesday night. They had trivia going on so maybe that was the draw. The hostess told us we could sit at any high top in the bar. We grabbed a high top and sat for over 5 minutes before a waitress finally showed up to ask us about drinks. We told her we'd like dinner so she had to get those for us too. The Rueben pizza special was good but looked like they just tossed the stuff on all but a 1/4 of the pizza. The chicken cheddar burger is a no. It had no flavor. We had their Cherokee & Harvestfest beers. The Cherokee was $2.50 while the Harvestfest was $5. What's up with that pricing?? I'll probably check out other places in the area next time. read more

We stop in Knoxville on our way to Hilton Head. We tried this place for dinner on a Friday night and had a good experience. The service was really great and the wings with dry rub were good too. They let you get flats only! Partner had steak skewers with mashed potatoes and enjoyed it as well. I would avoid the spinach artichoke dip, it was pretty soupy. Sat at the bar with my wife and we were welcomed quickly. We both tried a flight of three of their beers and loved all six; the IPA being the best. The California Chicken Burger, the Fish and Chips and the Key Lime Pie were all very, very good. Fish was obviously breaded in-house and was cooked perfectly. One of the best Key Lime Pies we've ever had. Very authentic, not overwhelmingly sweet and not some crazy artificial color. Service couldn't have been more friendly and professional. We came here for dinner with our child. Hostess was super friendly. They have a kids menu which is a huge plus they had many options for the smaller eaters. Our waitress was wonderful. We ordered drinks and appetizer and it came to our table quickly. The cheese garlic bread was delicious. They definitely use a blend of mozzarella and I am thinking a provolone. Now I know why they have an option for double order. Husband ordered the burger which he enjoyed. My child had the chicken tenders. These are fresh chicken tenders these aren't like the bagged frozen kind most places sell. There wasn't a crumb left behind. I ordered a personal pizza. It was super cheesy and a tad messy. I had a great time at Smoky Mountain Brewery! We came specifically for Singo (Thursdays @ 7 PM). We arrived a little past 7 PM and the bar area was packed. We patiently waited for a table, so we could play Singo and enjoy a bite to eat. The wait didn't seem like 20 mins since we were singing and dancing to 80s music! Our waitress, Hannah, was very patient with us. We took a while to decide because we were too focused on our Singo board. We finally decided on Naked Wings and a Tossed Salad. I was sooo hungry and didn't take a pic of the wings. They were delicious...plump wings with good seasoning. We ended up making our own sauce which was a mix of BBQ and Sweet & Spicy. The Tossed Salad had a wide variety of all my favorite veggies with a house Balsamic Vinaigrette. I think this will be our new Thursday night spot...good food and a great time! read more

Stopped in for a late evening bite to eat. We ordered the Caesar Salads, one with marinated sirloin steak skewers. The salad was average -- nothing out of the ordinary. The lettuce was pretty limp and not much Parmesan cheese on top. The sirloin skewers on the other hand were exceptional! Cut-with-a-fork tender, juicy, cooked to perfection, deliciousness. I had the Big City Reuben sandwich with broccoli and beer cheese as a side. Both were super delicious! Hubby enjoyed their burger with blue cheese and bacon. But that "basket" of fries for his side was just a handful of fries. Maybe it's a typo in their menu? Even still, those fries are really good! When we come back, we will sit in the bar area for a more adult experience and also to see the tv's better. Also, upon first entering from the main entrance, there's an odd odor. Okay hubby and I were out shopping and realized we both had a rumble in our tummies. He wanted Italian but they were closed. We saw this place and said let's do it! It was 96 so we looked for a shady place to park bingo... We were greeted warmly upon arrival, and I noted the place is huge, about 1/3 of the way full.It was 4 and the crowd was behind us yahoo! There was one table left so fortunately we didn't have to wait. The server greeted us and we just got water and spinach queso. I wasn't very hungry since I ate dinner at home and tried it. It was kind of bland/not the best spinach dip I've ever had hence the 3 stars. It wasn't anything to write home about. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. I was beyond disappointed in this place, I had high hopes. I was so disappointed, this happened 2 months ago and I'm still thinking about it. Five of us came into the restaurant to grab some drinks and dinner before going to topgolf. We showed up at 7:30pm, our topgolf reservation was for 9:30pm. Two hours should be more than enough time to grab drinks and eat, but no. It took 25 minutes for someone to come up and GREET our table, since that took so long we had enough time to look over the menu and decide what we wanted so we put our whole order in. We got our drinks around 8:10 and that was the second and last time we saw our server until receiving the check. We waited, waited and waited for our food- 8:45pm, over 30 minutes since we've even SEEN our server, no food and not an update from anyone on when we'd be getting our food. Our server comes up to our table at 9pm, almost an hour after he gave us our drinks or even checked on us and said he'd go "check on our food." Another 15 minutes pass, server hasn't come back to check on us, it's 9:15 so we are close to our reservation time at topgolf and we had to leave. I was furious. It had been an hour and a half since we had placed our order and we still hadn't gotten our food. I had to go up to the host stand and ask for a manager which is something I try to avoid at all costs. I told them we were leaving, we would not be paying for our food we never received and we were never coming back. read more

I've been several times to Smokey Mountain Brewery to eat and listen to music. Great selection of food and apps and the service is always great! Monique has waited on me a couple of times and she is one of the best servers I've had at any restaurant I've been too. I'm always happy to overtip for her service. Really sad haven't been here in about a year. I found myself back in Knoxville. Got their steak tips that were amazing a year ago. Every time I came. Now, tonight, dry no sauce whatsoever. Completely cooked all the way through. Hardly any flavor... Even the mashed potatoes were semi cold... I ordered a beer at a brewery, they can't possibly mess that up. It was flat and barely room temperature! The server apologized and explained that "the beer has been coming out flat all day" I am really disappointed in this experience tonight as I talked it up to my family. A great and friendly place for bar food. Prices are reasonable. Service was super friendly, at least our waitress was. She always wore a nice big smile. Maybe it's just the way of the south and I really appreciate that. I had a tall glass of mojito was $6 and came with a sugarcane stick which was a first for me and I love that. The flavor could have been a bit more sweeter for my taste and a bit less on the ice. Also ordered my first Buca Burger (soy based) and I think I'm hooked. It was flavorful and moist. The patty and burger was huge, great portion for $8.50 and came with a side I chose the potatoes salad and it was decent.
