    Reuben Calzone

Staying nearby for a work trip, couldn't pass up on a brewery. Sat at the bar since it was just me. Plenty of TVs around if you're watching sports. Bartender was attentive. Beer was just ok. I had the pale ale. Wasn't bad, wasn't outstanding. They had multiple specials for the evening (Monday). I ordered the Reuben pizza but in a calzone. It was delicious. Don't knock it till you tried it. It was a large portion and I couldn't finish it all. They provided red marinara for dipping. Probably would have asked for thousand island instead had I known but I did use the marinara for the end pieces. It was average tasting. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have trivia on Mondays so be prepared for it to be a little loud. Didn't bother me, but if you're looking for a quiet dinner better make sure you're on the other side of the building[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]].

You can find Smoky Mountain Brewery at 11308 Parkside Dr Knoxville, TN 37934 - this is in the Turkey Creek Shopping Mall anchored by a Michael's store and a Total Wine. It's a fairly busy area but there's plenty of free parking. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The interior of the brewery is large and at first blush pretty impressive, with many tables and bar stools.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We had just driven up from Atlanta and wanted to get a bite as we had some time before we could check into our nearby hotel, it was early afternoon and check in at 3:00. We ended up at the bar - I ordered a flight of the the brewery's offerings: * Black Bear Ale - English Brown Ale - Sweet malty brown, could use some carbonation. Average. 3/5 * New England IPA - Someway basic New England IPA. East drinker. 3.5/5 * Tuckaleechee Porter - Fairly basic Porter, malty, slightly sweet with roasty notes. Pretty flat. 3/5 * Dark Ale - American Porter - Nitro version, creamy mouth feel, slightly bitter. 3.5/5 In all I wasn't expecting much and wasn't too surprised at the beer. It was all pretty bland brewpub stuff. For food we got lunch - I ordered some type of fish and chips that had small fish pieces lightly breaded/fried. They tasted fine but were served lukewarm - nothing like eating cold fish. I'd say overall the experience was underwhelming. Service was fairly good if a bit spotty. The bartender took some doing to get his attention.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Interior was nice and clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Staff friendly and responsive. Food was delicious. The apps were extremely good. Burgers were good but slightly over cooked. I ordered mine medium rare and it came to the table medium at best, but it was still juicy.

Me and my friend went Smoky Mountain Brewery in Turkey Creek for a quick afternoon lunch and it was great! The food was hot and fresh. The service was very attentive and friendly. We did go on a Thursday afternoon so it wasn't as busy as the weekends but, even on the weekends it's a great neighborhood spot. Definitely recommend!

We came here for dinner with our child. Hostess was super friendly. They have a kids menu which is a huge plus they had many options for the smaller eaters. Our waitress was wonderful. We ordered drinks and appetizer and it came to our table quickly. The cheese garlic bread was delicious. They definitely use a blend of mozzarella and I am thinking a provolone. Now I know why they have an option for double order. Husband ordered the burger which he enjoyed. My child had the chicken tenders. These are fresh chicken tenders these aren't like the bagged frozen kind most places sell. There wasn't a crumb left behind. I ordered a personal pizza. It was super cheesy and a tad messy. It was better than most places we've experience when it comes to bar food and plenty big enough to share. It was a very good experience. We will be back when we are back in the area.

    Singo! Thursdays @ 7 PM

I had a great time at Smoky Mountain Brewery! We came specifically for Singo (Thursdays @ 7 PM). We arrived a little past 7 PM and the bar area was packed. We patiently waited for a table, so we could play Singo and enjoy a bite to eat. The wait didn't seem like 20 mins since we were singing and dancing to 80s music! Our waitress, Hannah, was very patient with us. We took a while to decide because we were too focused on our Singo board. We finally decided on Naked Wings and a Tossed Salad. I was sooo hungry and didn't take a pic of the wings. They were delicious...plump wings with good seasoning. We ended up making our own sauce which was a mix of BBQ and Sweet & Spicy. The Tossed Salad had a wide variety of all my favorite veggies with a house Balsamic Vinaigrette. I think this will be our new Thursday night spot...good food and a great time!

You can get traditional "bar food" but my wife and I always go for the calzones. Sounds strange, but hard to beat!

Food was not great and drinks seemed watered down. Offered a flight of 10 and didn't have 10 different drafts. Service was good.

After reading all the reviews we headed south and are pleased to share that everything and everyone we encountered were absolutely top notch...food was prepared perfectly from the breads, calamari, trout and swordfish; and the proportions more than enough to require a stroll along the river after the Chocolate chocolate cake. Our server was amazing and you can't beat the riverfront location and views. They don't take reservations and those negative reviews usually involved large parties and special needs that take time to accommodate. Check Scottie's out, and enjoy! I would have given 5 Stars except for the pay to park phenomenon and QR codes that can be just annoying and have appeared in every major city. Nothing is free anymore including parking. We will be back.

You're definitely paying for the scenery because the food was underwhelming. We ordered six items,…read moreand three out of the six lacked flavor. The gumbo tasted like canned chili. The stuffed mushrooms did not taste fresh and also lacked flavor. The calamari lacked flavor as well and was a big disappointment. The server was nice and set our expectations, advising that some of the items we ordered were more of an acquired taste, but we were still disappointed. There was a server change at one point, and the new server was not careful when delivering the food and spilled the gumbo upon arrival. Considering the price and value, this place is definitely a one and done.
