Food quality / price (value) rating 9. The atmosphere is military themed, but not overdone. We split a Jalapeno Burger which was stuffed with bleu cheese and chopped jalapenos - excellent! We chose French fries as our side, that were cooked well done as requested, although they were not house cut which is always a let down. They offer a limited but well chosen draught beer list. The restaurant is a little tricky to find as it's kind of camouflaged and the sign is practically unreadable even from close up. There are three distinct dining rooms and a bar which seats about 10. There is a large nicely decorated outdoor seating area. We don't really eat BBQ, which is what this place does best, and I trust that it is as good as their burgers.

Had the 4 meats and sides with pork belly, pastrami, brisket, cornbread, st. Louis ribs, Mac and cheese, and chitpotle coleslaw, chicken wings, and eggplant. All were delicious and homemade. Highly recommended the place. Service was quick and friendly. The waitress came around multiple times to make sure we were fine. Bathroom is clean and the front counter has huge desserts to choose from key lime pie to cakes.

AMAZING food. So flavorful and tender, I couldn't stop eating. Some of what we ordered included the pulled pork sandwich, pulled chicken sandwich, ribs, corn bread, coleslaw, salad, and fries. The cornbread is delicious. The staff is kind and welcoming. I loved the spiked apple cider. We got the peanut butter brownie bar which was insanely decadent and good. Anyone who likes bbq has to come to this place.

We wanted some BBQ. It was a little rainy that day and we came across this place. It was not busy at all so it was nice. The waitress was super nice and friendly, and attentive. I got the BBQ sampler which came with pulled pork, pulled chicken, brisket, hot & sweet sausage, and 2 smoked ribs, and also came with flat bread. It was a nice way of getting to taste a little bit of everything. My husband got a beer flight and the pulled pork sandwich and a side of mac and cheese. All in all, a wonderful experience and some of the best bbq we've had. 10/10 would recommend.

Voted the best BBQ in the Hudson Valley and I completely agree! Amazing staff and service. Reservations are highly recommended, but they do take walk-ins. My husband and I are spending the weekend in Rhinebeck and the inn we are staying at recommended Smokey Rock BBQ. We were walk-ins and they said it would be a 10 minute wait. They let us sit at the bar and we each ordered a drink. I ordered the new fall drink, a pumpkin martini and my husband ordered his skinny margarita. My pumpkin martini was incredible. Well balanced flavors that were not too sweet. We were seated inside and our waitress brought us water. They have some great food options that are all made in house. Even their sauces are made on property. My husband ordered their chicken wings and a side of fries. I ordered their BBQ burger, no bun with a side of coleslaw. They also offered us each a complementary order of split pea soup that my husband said was some of the best he has ever had. (I'm not a fan) my burger and coleslaw were very good. Smoked well and not over powered. The wings were huge. My husband ordered a dozen and couldn't eat them all. The restaurant is Americana themed with images of West Point and traditional Americana decor. We will definitely be back in the future.

This place is cute. The service is pretty good. The food overall is a 3.5 out of 5. The cornbread is GOOD! The soups are pretty good. The brisket is so so. The pulled pork was good. The sauces are not saucing. The beer and cider selection for local options is pretty good!

The desserts are my favorite part here (though the BBQ is impressive by itself). The baklava cheesecake and chocolate chip brownie bar (or "brookie" equivalent) are both amazing. Ribs are great. Beer selection is awesome. And they were open on Christmas, so you can imagine the service is incredible.

The service was decent. They have some pretty good meats and sides here. All their desserts looked delicious too. Def a lil pricey but it's bbq in upstate NY so what can ya expect

Wow this place was worth the 90 minute drive from Jersey. A family owned gem with some of the tastiest food. My kisses to the chef!

Smoky rock barbecue is undoubtedly one of the best in New York. I highly recommend trying their smoked wings, brisket, and cornbread; they truly stood out. The sauces are fantastic, and the service is impeccable. The ambiance is great, especially during the holidays. We started with a beautiful soup, got an extra chicken wing with our order, and we're givin cookies with our coffees. Overall, it was an incredible experience. I would give it a perfect 10/10!

Came out on a Friday afternoon to celebrate a friend's award. We started out with drinks and I can tell you the Moonshine Blueberry Lemonade is delicious and refreshing. Next we decided to order the chicken wings and the BBQ platter to go with our salads. I know, I know...why are we all ordering salads at a BBQ place. My excuse is that I just got back from pigging out in Italy and now I got to be a good girl and eat some vegetables. But we all also wanted to try some bbq so it was a good compromise. I wish I remembered to take a picture of the platter but I'll say it was enough for the four of us to try everything. My favorite was the brisket and the hot sausage. It also came with sweet sausage, pulled pork and pulled chicken with a grilled pita. Oh and also a couple of ribs. They were good too. The salad was great. Full of pepperoncini peppers, olives and big chunks of feta. I wish I could tell you about dessert but we were all too full to eat. HOWEVER, the desserts looked AMAZING. I wish I could've tasted some. I like that you can check out all the desserts before ordering. I will have to make a mental note of that for next time. Because there will be a next time! Our service was great. Our waitress was attentive and very nice. We sat outside in a cabana which felt like vacation to me. I loved it!!!

We made reservations to have dinner here and the food was phenomenal. I do recommend making a reservation because it appears to be quite popular as an eatery. Ambiance was nice, a little on the louder side as it filled up quickly but not loud enough where you can't hear the person or people you're with. We had just eaten a large lunch at a BBQ place so I wasn't particularly hungry. I got the PEI mussels which were fresh and delicious and came with more mussels than I was anticipating for a starter dish. My husband got the pappardelle which he enjoyed thoroughly. I think we were both so full than we declined dessert. I believe they're altered their business a bit and changed it to cater to more private events so unfortunately if you haven't had the chance to try it you may not be able to for the remained of 2024. Hopefully in 2025 they return to being a restaurant where people can enjoy it once more.

We had a really nice brunch at this charming Rhinebeck restaurant. We have friends who are…read moreregulars, so we got to meet Fletcher, the manager- great guy. The restaurant has a great vibe and everything, down to the playlist, was on point. The proximity to the CIA shines through in this restaurant. The service is a cut above the other local restaurants that we ate at. Many things are made on the premises. A lot of the baked goods, etc.. They even butcher a lot of their own meat! The coffee, bread and butter were excellent. I really enjoyed my chorizo scramble. My wife liked, but didn't love her omelette. The dish was prepared properly. It was more of a matter of her palate not coinciding with the chef's. The french fries were the platonic ideal of frites and the salad was excellent. I'm pretty sure that we will hit the fifth star when we return to this cool place.
