My friend was excited since she didn't have to worry when she was ordering as she usually does. I had the pizza panini which had a tomato at the core with a pesto sauce and vegan cheese coating the outside. Pesto was fresh, bright and flavorful. Bread was hearty and the cheese added a welcome accent of saltiness. It was a good sized portion that sustained my appetite for a good time after finishing the meal. I also had the super green smoothie (spinach, banana, mango, pineapple and spirulina). It was definitely packed with greens, but also had a nice level of fruitinesses. My friend had the waffle topped with berries. She enjoyed it and surprisingly finished the whole thing even though it could have easily have been 2 meals. We crossed this place while going to Vanderbilt Mansion thought we could grab something for snacks from this place. They had a wide variety of sweet treats that we could not try since we were full after the food. We ordered Hummus toast and Nachos with mango salsa and both were fresh and yummy. I stopped in for some thanksgiving sweets to take with me! The mini banana bread was out of this world! I really didn't enjoy the apple cinnamon cake pop though, which was super gummy and devoid of flavor. The apple mini cake we had also kind of missed the mark texture and flavor wise. I was really shocked at the prices as well, a mini bread was ~$7 each. I recognize they likely use quality ingredients but I don't think I'd personally splurge here again. My wife and I saw Emy's and thought we'd give it a try. We were looking for a sandwich, but they didn't have any to go options when we stopped in. We ordered Avocado Toast instead, my wife the Mediterranean, and myself the Southwest. First off, they are not stingy with the avacado! We've been to places where you receive a small smear for the same price. Also, the toast was a healthy piece of bread; off to an excellent start. We discovered that the bread was vegan and gluten free, which I was hesitant about as we all know there are not many good ones out there. BUT, their bread was excellent. Great flavor. The Mediterranean Toast had an olive tapenade under the avacado with tomatoes on top. The olives gave a needed saltiness to the dish. This was our favorite dish of the two. The menu stated the southwestern toast was avacado, black beans, and corn salsa. But they missed the mark, the dish was bland and lacked flavor as I had received beans and corn straight from the can on top. Suggested modification...The black beans straight from the can were bland. The addition of a corn salsa, or corn pico would have been great. My final suggestion, is an opportunity to change up the avacado, perhaps a little salt and Chipotle powder or other southwestern flavors. Overall, we were satisfied with our meal and would definitely go back to try the other items. They also have hummus toast, fruit smoothies, chocolates, and some to-go items. read more

We didn't enjoy it at all when we went. My boyfriend and I both got waffles and they were inedible; the texture was rock hard and the taste was as close to cardboard as I can imagine. We ordered a variety of desserts to sample and oh my goodness was that an expensive mistake: - The cupcakes were excessively frosted (and the icing was gross) and the actual cake itself was so inedible we both spit out the only bite we took - The black and white cookie was underdone in the middle, dense and lacked flavor. I'm writing this review for people who are lucky enough to not have to check ingredients, but may hesitate to stop here because they're iffy about "non-traditional" baked goods. Hyde Park doesn't have a bakery. Emy makes baked goods that you can safely serve to anyone, but you don't have to tell the other people that they are eating anything special cuz I don't think they'll be able to tell. :) Picked up a triple chocolate brownie, a raspberry jam cookie, and vanilla cupcakes. Everything was so good! That cookie, oh man, it was salty and sweet and I could have eaten 6 of them. It reminded me of a buttery peanut butter cookie with jam. I do not have a super sweet tooth and prefer desserts and treats that aren't crazy sugary or so rich you can't eat more than one bite (ex. love dark chocolate, not a fan of cake icing). The brownie had great crumb, was cake like and my perfect sweetness. The cupcakes were moist. Definitely trying the chocolate truffles next. The salad is a large portion and we were left feeling full. The first time I tried Emy Delights was last year at a wine festival. It was everything I was looking for without knowing it! My partner is allergic to tree nuts and is lactose intolerant and I wanted chocolates for Valentine's Day but couldn't get any. We happened upon Emy's completely by accident because we were looking for a special treat for our kids. Both have many allergies so finding places that are safe for them is REALLY challenging. Imagine our surprise when we spotted this adorably charming bakery that is Emy's! The kids' eyes exploded when they saw all the beautiful cakes, cookies and sweets. We also grabbed a couple of their toasts and made a whole meal out of it. 100% safe for our kids and my heart was just bursting seeing how happy the kids were to be able to pick what they wanted. I myself don't have food allergies but seeing the world through my kids' eyes makes me understand how tough it is for those WITH food allergies.
