Kelly came to my hotel room about three hours before we needed to leave and provided hair and make up for my maid of honor me. We consulted, talked about limitations, (for instance my maid of honor has tape in extensions, and I have sewn in wefts). Kelly styled us both in absolutely beautiful glam styles. The makeup was absolutely beautiful and exactly how we pictured it. It was recommended to me by a few people to give Smooth Brides a call as soon as I had decided I wanted my hair and makeup professionally done for my special day because they book up quickly. I contacted SB about 5 months before my wedding. Kelly came to my home for a trial makeup session. She was open to my ideas and suggestions as well as giving me her professional opinion. We took before and after pictures so that we could remember what colors were used. Kelly was very good at keeping in contact via email. She came to my hotel room on time and finished my hair and makeup in about an hour, but I never felt rushed. She even gave my mom's short hair a few curls with the iron to give her some volume. I had brought my own lashes because I have sensitive eyes and decided to have a family friend put them on to save me the 10$ fee that SB charges. I was very happy with the outcome of the colors. We decided to go with a more pink tone than was originally done in the trial session. My makeup looked great in the pictures. Very natural and fresh. It lasted long into the evening. The prices were affordable compared to other salons supposed packaged deals for brides. I was quoted over $700 at Color in Ceasar's Palace. I got airbrushed makeup, false lashes, and my hair done for under $200. Let me tell you if you have blemishes or oily skin airbrush is the way to go. I did not need to apply makeup all day, and my skin looked flawless and natural in my pictures. I was so happy with everything, and never felt so beautiful in my life. Very happy with my updo. Makeup (I requested natural) was heavy and had to be toned down but turned out fine eventually. Lady was very nice. Minus one star because she was nearly 90 minutes late. (after someone texted 30minutes past arrival time to say 15 minutes late.) She said it was because her earlier bride had been freaking out/stressed. That was unfortunate but she should have allowed more time in between appointments, knowing things happen, or told the other bride she was over time and had to leave. Yes, she had a great price and also took into consideration that we all had short hair (no updos) and gave us a discount accordingly. Finding a wedding hair and makeup person was such a stressful event for me. I originally hired a company only to have them cancel on me a week before the wedding! Terrible way to do business. It was for my 20th wedding anniversary party. First When I contact Kelly, I just needed my hair done but Kelly said since they have to travel so far it has to be package as hair and make up at total price of $160.00. Even without make up $160.00 was reasonable for me so I agree to do it but I requested only eye make up because my skin break out easily and I didn't want her to do anything else. I Paid Deposit of $50.00 She clearly said now you would only owe $110.00 please have cash ready for the girls. My hair came our terrible she had to take part of it down and re do it. still didn't help. I ended up fix it my self in the bathroom. The worst part is the make up. Since I only asked them to do eye. I already had my base make up eye brow done when they arrived. Girl wanted me to wash my face and offered air brush. I asked her what is the deference, then she said it's same but last longer. I explained to her about my skin and she said she use mac which I have used before. After all done I owed them $151.00 plus traveling fee of $20.00 plus 18% of tip. even with my $50.00 deposit. I spoke to Kelly and she changed her story, would not admit our conversation. The $50.00 air brush was never mentioned to me. I did not want them to ruin my special day. So I paid as they requested. then text Kelly how they do business is very dis honesty. Instead of apologizing Kelly text-ed me 8 times harassing me while I'm having my party..
